A couple of weeks ago I lost a screw that hold the lens in my reading glasses. I have some of those eye glass repair kits, I used one of the screws to fix my glasses. It is very important to have what you need on hand. Love your channel!
A tip for those sewing kits : before you put them away, get some GOOD thread in neutral colors, and to match any colors that you wear a lot of, and go ahead and thread some needles. You don't want to be in a hurry trying to thread needles and then not have a matching/coordinating color.
I ordered decent thread in multi-colors but mostly, like you, neutral colors, a couple of years ago. I picked up patches, scissors, needles on sale, pins, and even no-sew adhesive/webbing.
I have multiple packs f sewing needles, in various sizes, I bought dental floss for sewing thread, VERY strong and cheap right now, it will keep for many years...
@@tonette6592 I know, none of us know for sure. I guess the new president has at least a history of a previous positive economy. But we all just need to stay aware and on course best we can. We’ve always kept extra food and supplies on hand so it’s just keeping with that. Grew up on a farm and we always grew a big garden, did canning and freezing and that was always great to have in that on hand.
We use something called emetrol for upset tummy instead of the pink stuff,it actually relaxes the stomach muscles instead of just coating it like the pink stuff does. I buy it at $general.
I love your dollar store hauls. First the chicken seasoning. Lol They don’t carry anymore. I bought a flashlight you suggested. Love it so much giving as Christmas gifts.
Great haul, I tried one of those vapour sticks and I am getting a spare. Worked great when I had a cold and didn’t leave any residue on my clothes. Thank you. We appreciate your videos!
Check your sewing kit before you use. The needles in mine had an eye too small to thread! Use the case, or better yet, use the cute band aid tin and make your own sewing kit. The DT craft section has some small scissors with orange handles. They are sharp and small enough to fit into kits. I have them everywhere 😂
Shrimp and Grits! Season them both really well. I had some at a restaurant once (sadly, it did not survive 2020) that added garlic and whole kernel corn to the grits, along with the seasonings on the shrimp. To. Die. For.😋
I ran out of cherry pie filling the other day. I thought I had several, but just had one. That never happens, I now have six but had trouble finding it
Always appreciate your Dollar Tree videos and I always make notes. I also like that you give ideas for more than one use for some things, that really helps. We always pack one of the eyeglass repair kits if we travel, even sunglasses can lose a screw. If we travel, we also now take a little box of meds that we might need, better to have it on hand than to try to hunt around for a pharmacy that might have what you need. I found a bigger Dollar Tree and it helps but lately they are more lean in some of the food items and they haven't had the eyeglass repair kits for a while too for some reason. On using the dental floss for sewing heavy duty items, be sure you also have heavy duty hand sewing needles. Regular sewing needles are OK for cloth but they can snap and break so you need the very sharp ones for penetraing heavy fabrics or leather. You can find an assortment pack of these specialty needles online or at a fabric store.
Great haul😊 im hitting the DT in a bit. I also have a coupon for $20.00 off my order from our local grocery store. I think that will help with a little stock up.😉 Have a great day.😊
Good words and polite , yes you bet things will get rough when changing the layout of the house , renovations are always messy . Thanks for another helpful video I always look forward to them
Thanks for the common sense, Ginny. People have unrealistic expectations; they need to really see what is going on with ALL of them. People cannot let their guard down. "Place your faith in no man". I haven't seen grits at mine, but my Kroger had a clearance on a brand that was great, but they weren't carrying. I vac-sealed them and I make cheesy grits with whatever we want. I ordered the moisture absorbers by the case from Dollar Tree.
When you pulled out the grits I just about fell off my chair. You being really Northern I was dumb struck! My kids had to have cheese grits for breakfast but I've also used Pimento Cheese, so good. Grits are also served with fried fish, no grits or hushpuppies on table they turn up their nose. I keep extra V-8 in pantry to use instead of using up to many cans of tomatoes run through the blender. And one of my finally hints I'm telling you is we dipped our match heads in clear nail polish to help water proof them, boys we grew up with were in boy scouts but really we used them more when we went camping. I love your shopping trips, wish I could go with you. Most importantly is your video about the needs of importance of living like its the DEPRESSION ERA! You should do some kind of up date on that every month. Both of my parents now past on. Lived through it, My Dad and his PA fished and gardener at every chance. They had their hog killing time, you didn't show up for the work then you didn't reap the rewards. My Great Uncle Charlie sat up for nights maintaining the smoke house. People need reminding as it looks more and more like that's the way its heading. Take care and continue sharing your 2 cents
Wonderful hall you have there. I wish I could find the sodium reduced chicken broth. We just have chicken and beef broth in the cartons. But we do have a lot of the same things you have. I get the breadcrumbs and mix them with my hamburger and then I fry my hamburger a little bit at a time and soak up all the grease and fry a little bit more and I get it all fried up and as much grease out as I can, and then I dehydrated. If I’ve gotten all the grease out of it, it dehydrates very nicely. But better yet it rehydrates with moisture in it, not gravel! Learned that from a UA-camr. And it works you just got to get all the grease out. And you do it by just browning it a little bit and taking the grease out browning a little bit more taking the grease out and take it all the grease you can out. Those breadcrumbs help when you rehydrate it because they absorb the moisture and that makes the burger also absorb it and you don’t get gravel!
Those moisture absorbers might work in a very small cabinet, but in a pantry they will have very little effect on the moisture levels. Stick a hygrometer in your pantry with all of those moisture absorbers. Then after a day remove them all, and you will notice the humidity will barely move. There will be less than a 1% difference.
My Dollar twentyfive Tree has begun migrating some 1.25 items to 1.50, oh no! I noticed they just did that with the pouches of instant potatos. You know there will be more and more until it becomes a Dollar fifty Tree.
I go maybe once a month, really there is nothing I need anymore most of my can goods I buy on sale at Winco they have Vegetables for .50 cents a can I used to do stock up's when it was worth the dollar but not any more most
Great haul! I noticed today that Walmart had Great Value canned (14.5 oz) broths for $.76/can I'm not sure if that was the regular price. I did not see a rollback sign. Also, in a center aisle they had Swanson for, I'm pretty sure $1/can. I was in a hurry and not feeling well (root canal coming up Thursday), so I may have missed some numbers, LOL
Great haul! Interesting goodies. Definitely want to look for doggie dental care kits and also think we might have to try grits, we’ve never eaten them.🇺🇸❤️
We went down to TN for vacation when I was just a kid, and that was my first time even hearing of grits, I just love them!! They kind of remind me of grittier cream of wheat, but you can dress them up tons of ways.
My hubby calls it the $20 store..the other day it was the $38 store..stocking up..got the cherry pie filling..sadly it was so runny when we cut the pie. All the filling was running out ?? It is good to just pour on top of the no bake cheese cake tho.
REMEMBER people, your pets are family too, they are totally dependent on YOU for their food and water, please don't let them down!!!

How do you repair your glasses if you need your glasses to see to fix your glasses
@@roberta7280I am nearsighted. I can see up close . She is probably able to see the same.
@ I used an older pair of reading glasses that the lens is scratched. I keep those on hand just in case.
But not all glaases can use those screws, my daughter lost her's and the DT Screws did not fit I had to go to the eye Dr. to repair it.

@chesterricherson3565 I forgot about the different sized needles ... thanks for the reminder!
You're right about being realistic. Things won't change overnight.
Thank you for sharing.
Exactly
Yes, best we can do is keep on with preparing. There will be big messes to correct and won’t happen overnight.
@@joycedagostino6074 If it happens at all. It will change, but will it change for the better? I see OWG, no matter who they put in office.

We used to make French bread pizza for dinner. It. Was cheap and the kids loved it because they could make their own.

Cheesy grits with ham & red eye gravy! Yum!
Definitely going to try grits. I didn't realize they're do versatile
I buy coloring books and puzzles for the grandkids at Dollar Tree.

I keep checking my Dollar Tree for the flashlight but can never find it.
Good morning have a great day 🎉.
Thank you, Jinne.
That's an excellent haul for $40 Jinne, & glad you mentioned Pets too.
TFS HC, take care & keep really busy everyone. ❤️🙂🐶

Thanks for the pepto tip for dogs….I never knew that dogs could take pepto…good info😊
They can take many beds that we do, benadryl and such
You should do an empties video. Things you bought to try and the results. Or things you bought.

Do you stuff your bird with stuffing or do you make it dressing on the side
No matches? 😅
