It's been two days since you and Pierce were finally able to get to a safe enough place to have time to hash out the events of a year ago. You've discovered that most of this drama was manufactured by your late father. And with the truth now out in the air, you've both had a chance to reconcile. Your outlook for the future is now so much brighter, and some of that fantastic mood is the result of the very passionate night you two spent together.
Since that time, you've arrived at the remote house that is intended to be your hideout until all of this can blow over. Pierce has set up cameras to monitor the front and back doors, made some preparations involving instructions to not go into the front or back rooms of the house... and you saw him walking in the nearby brush-filled property, doing what he cryptically described as looking for a friend. While Pierce remains on alert and does still occasionally have instructions for you, he's been very gentle and affectionate, and you're very much looking forward to getting this whole situation behind you.
Yet, a few minutes ago, he made a phone call back to headquarters - and just now he started yelling...
