I saw Christ in 2001 and almost everyone I tried to discuss it with said it wasn't a second comforter experience because blah blah blah. But it was Christ and he was real and he wasn't glowing. He gave me specific revelations about my life that all proved true, yet the "leaders" just told me how I shouldn't talk about such things 😂. I'm here to say that you can see Christ face to face WITHOUT being translated if he sees fit.

No sweat my friend, the Book of Mormon tells us clearly how we get back to God and the only gate keeper will be Jesus Christ. We are taught in the BofM that to get back home we need to repent, be baptized and truly follow Christ. In the new testament Jesus says "as ye have seen me do, so shall ye do". Jesus is the way, not the covenant path and certainly not by following the prophet who isn't even a prophet.

Pehaps Brigham Young understood this as well when he stated:
"When he again visits this earth, he will come to thoroughly purge his kingdom from wickedness, and, as ruler of the nations, to dictate and administer to them as the heir to the kingdom; and the Gentiles will be as much mistaken in regard to his second advent as the Jews were in relation to the first."

Had another thought on this. Jacob 5 talks about the cultivating of olive trees. At the end of this chapter, the allegory, it talks about the "Lord of the Vineyard" coming one last time to work it. He called servants and they all got busy pruning and fertilizing. What is interesting is that the "Lord of the Vineyard" was doing it himself along side his servants.
I think Jacob 5 supports your idea that the Davidic Servant could very will be the Savior.

Wow, that is so cool. Once you have this idea that Christ might just be the end time servant, I think we all are going to start to notice this more and more. I’m coming to this conclusion too, but as your scripture reference says Christ works with other servants too.

    • @afinewhitehorse

@@BB_Ull Yeah, I think that is the key. If the BoM is real and is what it claims to be, then we should be able to see the events it alludes to come about (if we are putting the puzzle pieces together properly). I really doubt I'll be one of those called if this event occurs, so I personally won't have any inside baseball on the matter. So as a likely external observer only, it will be interesting if we see something like this manifest itself. It won't be hidden, it will be pretty clear it is happening if and when it does. I say 'if' because I am open to the possibility that none of this is real. I hope I am wrong, I'm not going to get sucked into some group that is just making things up again. "Fool me once..."

This brings up and interesting idea. With understanding of the idiom or name "angel of the Lord" actually being able to both refer to, or be, Christ Himself. So many thoughts... to carry this further as I've learned that the Hebrew word מַלְאָךְ (mal’akh) is used or translated as both angel or messenger, they mean the same thing in Hebrew as there is no different word for them. This brings me to an observation that the names referring to God or Christ throughout scripture may relate specifically to the work or thing they are doing. When Christ is bringing a message to someone He may be referred to as the angel of the Lord in the text as He is acting to send a message. D&C 93:8 is a great example where Christ is referred to as the messenger of salvation, which message He delivers to all. When He is doing a specific work, He may also be referred to as "servant" which in JST Isaiah 42:19 amazingly ties both "messenger" and "servant" as both being names referring prophetically to Christ: "For I will send my servant unto you who are blind, yea, a messenger to open the eyes of the blind and unstop the ears of the deaf;". I think you are on to something here!
Now, I'm considering the words of 2 Nephi 32 where we are told that angels (messengers) speak with the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore, they speak the words of Christ! From the examples given in the video we understand that Christ can be the angel of the Lord, or, He can employ another servant, angel or messenger in His place, but the words of the angel or messenger are the actual words of Christ meaning it matters not if Christ is there personally, as it is the same. I guess that shouldn't surprise me as D&C 1:38 says "whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same." but this understanding sure makes a point of how literal it is. And likewise, if Christ calls and uses a servant in His Church to act for him, to hear my sins, and help me repent, I can trust Christ to work through that servant as if He were there. D&C 108:1 confirms this "Your sins are forgiven you, because you have obeyed my voice in coming up hither this morning to receive counsel of him whom I have appointed."
I think you are spot on with who the servant is and do think it is specifically Christ!

He is David.....and he is called the "Lamb" in Revelation.....he is "the one who overcomes (conquers) " that Jesus makes all the promises to.
He is also the "two witnesses" who is killed and resurrected......this is why John sees him as " a lamb as if it had been slain".
He is "one like a son of man"......a human being.
He is the "Messiah of the Lord Jesus" ( Revelation 11:15.
Jesus, as the "Spirit of Truth" will be 'IN' him . ( John 16 : 8-15 )
He comes in judgment in Revelation 19:12.
Jesus Himself "writes His new name" on this one person in Revelation 2:17 and 3:12 that only this one person knows.
Jesus calls him the "Bright Morning Star" in Revelation 22:16.
David himself confirms that Jesus, the "Rock of Israel" has bestowed this title on him in 2 Samuel chapter 23 .

If Jesus is the root of Jesse, then Joseph got it wrong in section 113 vs 5 "What is the root of Jesse spoken of in the 10th verse of the 11th chapter? 6 Behold, thus saith the Lord, it is a descendant of Jesse, as well as of Joseph, unto whom rightly belongs the priesthood, and the keys of the kingdom, for an ensign, and for the gathering of my people in the last days." When all this "davidic servant" talk started happening I said from the git go "Christ is the King that will sit in Zion". Yet still, Joseph was called the "servant" in section 101. Though I told "The II" a couple of years ago that 3 Nephi straight up said that Christ was the man like Moses. It seems like there are many who believe that Joseph Smith is the end-time servant. The clearest reasoning I have heard is because of what is said in D&C 103:21 Verily, verily I say unto you, that my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., is the man to whom I likened the servant to whom the Lord of the vineyard spake in the parable which I have given unto you. (In relation to the servant in D&C 101).
The person who told me this said that most of D&C wasn’t fulfilled yet, and so it will have to happen in the future. They think Joseph Smith will be reborn (MMP) and then fulfill the mission of redeeming Zion. It just doesn’t seem to fit the patterns in the scriptures, or the other word links that are used to describe the end-time servant, including the one like unto Moses.

This servant is not for us to find out until he comes, he will come when the time of repentance is over, that’s why it’s not revealed to us who he is. When he comes he will perform the work of gathering the remnants and lead them to Zion. It’s pretty clear in Isaiah that he will be sent when the judgments of God falls upon the wicked, it’s my guess that he will come at the end of the times of the Gentiles, at the time when the Gentile nations are being destroyed. Christ will return in glory when Zion is established, the remnants gathered and the New Jerusalem built. That’s what the Book Of Mormon and Isaiah prophesied. The servant represents Christ in the end time scenario. It’s somewhat confusing at times because it seems that he prophecies are speaking about Christ but it’s not him the end time servant.

Jesus is not coming again.....not as you people think and believe.
Jesus never said that He was coming again.
Jesus said that the "son of man" is coming again......meaning another flesh and blood human as He was .
This is the same "one like a son of man" in Daniel 7:13......and the "Ancient of Days" is the "Word" or the preincarnate Jesus .
He is also the "one like a son of man" in Revelation 1:13...called the "Lamb" .
The "Lamb" in Revelation is not Jesus....and again the one on the throne in Revelation is the Lord Jesus .

You are not allowing for Joseph Smith's account of who the Davidic Servant is. JS said his name will be David! The Davidic Servant is only the frontrunner to Christ's second coming just as John the Baptist or Samuel the Lamanite to prepare the way (for those who follow Him). Scriptures combine Joseph of Egypt, Joseph Smith, Moses and others as types and shadows of Christ himself. It's good to think these things through but please don't leave out the things we know to be true regarding the Servant.

Thank you very much for your presentation. This may come across as condescending, but I don’t mean it that way:
*I truly believe you are close to understanding this mystery, and this video demonstrates that you’ve acquired a few of the most essential keys in that pursuit.* If I may, allow me to suggest one more for consideration.
We often ask, “Who was Christ?” And the answer is, “Jesus of Nazareth.” And this is true. But… is it possible we’re asking the wrong question? Instead, we should ask, “*What* is Christ?…”
We often read of all the “names written in the Book of Life.” Yet, how many scriptures tell us to “take upon ourselves the name of Christ”?
What is a name? It is not a combination of letters. Anyone could decide to name their baby “J•E•S•U•S C•H•R•I•S•T,” would this make them the Messiah? No, of course.
In scriptural language (both Greek & Hebrew), NAME referred to the *character of a person.*
Now consider the many scriptures like D&C 18:
22 And as many as repent and are baptized in my name, which is Jesus Christ, and endure to the end, the same shall be saved.
    Translation:
“Anyone who aligns everything they do with what I would do [repentance] and immerses their entire selves in my character as they understand it [baptism], then continues forever to learn more about what I’m like, then imitates all those things they learn to a ‘T’ [enduring to the end] will be saved.”
How many names are written in this Book of Life? One. There is One NAME under Heaven - One type of person that can be saved. It is the set of qualities which were demonstrated by Jesus of Nazareth. Those qualities made Him the Messiah. His character and works gave Him His NAME.
So… who is the End Time Servant? I agree with you, it is Christ. But again, and this is the key… *What* is Christ?

    "You will summon a nation you did not know;
a nation that did not know you will hasten to you-
    because of Jehovah your God,
the Holy One of Israel, who gloriously endows you"
I mean ... he is obviously separate from Jehovah (Jesus).
Isaiah also mentions several of his failings and imperfections ... things Jesus doesn't have.

    • @JoeCana
      @JoeCana 6 місяців тому +2

I can think of some other understandings of this. 'Knowing" is used in scripture as a covenant relationship, even perhaps a 'bride'. So perhaps a way to understand this is that Jehovah's angel of the Lord will summon a nation/gentiles who are not in covenant with him and like the 10 virgins parable they will hasten to Him.
Regarding the passages where it seems God is talking about someone else it reminds me also of how Jesus spoke. Instead of saying "I will do such and such" he says the "Son of Man will do..." etc, like it is another person too, but knowing who Jesus is, that He is the Son of Man, we can understand it, even though it is odd speech for us.
There are still a lot of verses to reconcile, and the presenter said he was just giving us a bare minimum to explain the Angel of the Lord so I guess we'll have to see if and how he explains those, but I'm open to the idea and changing my perspective on this.

Acts 4:27-30 “Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed.”
Matt 12:17-21 directly connects Jesus to the prophecy in Isaiah 42:1-4, which speaks of the Servant of the Lord: Matt 12:18: “Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations.”
Philippians 2:7 “Rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.”

Sorry but I cannot see this at all. It does not fit at all. Yes there will be a figure like the Messiah that was expected long ago but it definitely is not the risen Yahusha or Jesus if you wish.
"10 But behold, the life of my servant shall be in my hand; therefore they shall not hurt him, although he shall be marred because of them. Yet I will heal him, for I will show unto them that my wisdom is greater than the cunning of the devil.
11 Therefore it shall come to pass that whosoever will not believe in my words, who am Jesus Christ, which the Father shall cause him to bring forth unto the Gentiles, and shall give unto him power that he shall bring them forth unto the Gentiles, (it shall be done even as Moses said) they shall be cut off from among my people who are of the covenant.
12 And my people who are a remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles, yea, in the midst of them as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep, who, if he go through both treadeth down and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.
3Ne 21 The Savior himself quotes what will happen to us the Gentiles. It is not pretty. The Savior is speaking here and says the life of his servant will be in his hand. He is not speaking about himself coming here. whose is the most marred name today, it is Joseph. They have to destroy the Book of Mormon so they do so by trashing Joseph Smith. The LDS, the exmo's and the never mos all do the same thing. The adversary has to have that book of scripture be broken and disparraged. Normally we just either ignore it or teach a few nice stories and principals from it, overlooking the true message and warning to us the LDS Gentiles. Then once New Jerusalem is built by the Lamanites, comes the actual Savior. "25 And then shall the power of heaven come down among them; and I also will be in the midst." After the huge purging and the casting off of all enemies from the Americas by that servant, the building of the New Jerusalem, then come the Savior to manifest himself. We are not even close to ready yet.

The Old Testament account of Uriah the Hittite, husband of Bathsheba is a great typifying example of Christ as a servant. Uriah is the quintessential definition of a servant both to King David and Kingdom of Israel. His part in the story of King David's fall with Bathsheba foretells how Christ will also be the perfect servant of the Kingdom of Israel. David in the story represents Israel and how it has fallen and been unfaithful and forgotten God and its covenant with Him. Uriah, however, is always true to his fellow servants in the army of Israel and will not betray their trust, solidarity and unity with them or allow himself to be sidetracked or forget them even for a night. David in his attempt to hide his unfaithfulness tempted Uriah in multiple ways but Uriah remained true and faithful. In the end, David had Uriah placed at the hottest part of the battle and had all step back from him that he died. Christ was himself placed in the hottest battle and all Israel including his own disciples in the end stepped back and abandoned him to His death. Christ was the ultimate servant of Israel!

I don't think the end-time servant is supposed to be an intercessor, but rather a catalyst to the wrapping of the end times. I see the same thing as you that THE servant is Christ alone, but he has other servants working that should be recognized. They do not contain all of the characteristics of Christ, but he imparts bits of his character in each one. We should expect mortal servants to arise, and we should expect some to claim to be in association with Christ, but I don't think that claiming to be one mighty and strong is a claim to be the Savior himself. If that is at all implied, then it would sure be quite a show. If anyone claiming to be a servant demands allegiance, then the point is being missed. We should be seeking communion together in Christ our Lord, but not seeking rulership over others.

I agree. We have several examples of this in the Book of Mormon where people wake up to their awful situation (such as Lehi) and preach repentance to those around them. Their job is to warn (D&C 88:81; D&C 63:37) and be "proxy Saviors", but not to get people to follow them.

To say that Christ is coming as an end time servant to perform this work contradicts the Book Of Mormon and Isaiah's prophecies. The servant personifies Christ and is empowered by Christ but it's not him.

This wicked world will reject him even more. he already raised the dead, walked on water, heal the blind, and all of these miracles he performed why because God spirit was upon him. So he’s coming back in the spirit. For the spirit lives forever. He’s the only one with everlasting life. So spirit is coming resting upon a man. And that man is the end time servant of the Lord. That also has the lineage of David. And he will see his offspring!
The two olive trees. Do you not know what these are? These are my two anointed of the Lord that stand among the whole world.
    The lion and the lamb
One has to be here on earth in the flesh to win to conquer to overcome! And the other in heaven next to the father!
How can the dead worship the living God?
