Great design for the sink. However, is that standard operating procedure for removal of a mold or did you forget a release agent or is that just what happens?
can you give a step by step and your ratios and prouducts? Came out amazing would love to replicate because i havent seen any other pour come out so light it seems and good. thankyou
What is the difference between cultured marble, stone resin, polymarble, solid surface and Acrylic composition? What can be considered major positives and negatives for each of these types of bathroom vanity counters with built in sinks integrated in one piece? Are these fabricated vanities durable long lasting, heat resistant, color change resistant, chip resistant and any other item to consider?
Nice idea, i wish there was audio, might I ask, what did you spray before the adding ther concrete? One of the comments you said spray lacquer when i look it up the only thing I get is just spray paint lol, thanks
Esta muy bonito el diseño pero muy mala técnica para retirar la madera , debe de usar algún tipo de grasa para que la madera se despegue o suelte de manera fácil Saludos
What kind of compressor did you use. I have a small 4.5 gallon Rigid compressor that I own but I’m not sure if it puts out the right pressure to operate the hopper gun. It puts out 5.1 SCFM at 90 psi.
Acetone dissolves foam. That might be easier, once the big parts are removed. Or could the foam part just be melamine like the rest? The concrete seems to come off that pretty easily. Is there a reason people use foam instead?
Excellent video, very ilustrative, congrats. Do you think the face coat could be spreaded without the gun, only with the brush and compact roller? I´m worried about the aparition of holes in the surface of the sink if I don´t use the gun, but I cannot find this item in Spain. Thanks ;)
Hey Pablo - You can spread face coat by wet brush alone - just start at the lowest point & work up to avoid sagging, but I never use a compact roller on face coat - only sometimes on the gfrc backing coat. You'll probably have a thicker face coat which = less structure & a higher probability of eventual cracking in the face coat. This can be solved (minimized) by increasing the thickness of the backing coat but then you're adding weight. Whether you can do it or not just depends on weight/thickness limitations, length of span & orientation of the surface plane. I could have done it on this project.
I am doing exactly the same with doble basin sink. Just wondering what did you use to lacquer the surface of the basin mould? I am aware removing the mould isn’t an easy task. I am just considering to do grooves with the router to ease the removal.
Enrique - This mold was sealed with spray lacquer, sanded and waxed. You can cut grooves out via router or saw but I press the back coat into the face coat pretty hard and I'm always concerned the the mold will buckle with the pressure. After the troubles getting this mold apart, I now screw all of my mdf molds from the inside. No screw heads facing the poured surface. If it's designed correctly, the mold can be taken apart piece by piece once the screws are removed.
Very good work but the digging that you did to replace the mold excuse me its gust bullshet this digging need a professional person only so if you want to make a possible video for everyone you need to change the way for making the middle mode
Love watching you peel out what's left of the mold.
No way, this is the exact sink I was modeling. :D Good to know there's a tutorial out for it now. :3

You can simply apply a layer of burnt engine oil on the wood, it will not stick.

Can’t you tell by the chipping he did it all wrong?
He did a great job building the sink. Just forgot to put a release on the mold so it would have came right out
which pigment did you use? black iron oxide? looks good! ratio?
What kind of cement did you use? I noticed it was a lot dryer the cement then how everyone else makes it.

Thanks for the inspiration😀 You don`t need any steel reinforcement in such a sink?🤔
Not for gec

hello what material do you use
Did I miss the ingredient ratio/mixture? Thanks
Mold release / wax? Foam?
What are the materials used please?
What was that that was sprayed on at the beginning?
I think they spray the colored concrete on with a drywall Hopper gun

You need minimum 6cfm for a hopper gun like that. Really need a 60gal compressor also.
Qual o nome desse acabamento preto????
must be an easier way to get rid of the mold...
I was thinking the same what about doing flash grooves to ease the extraction ???

Si le ponías sinta de embalaje salía más rápido
Así es lo mismo pensé.. O aplicarle un spray desmontante...
Quedo exelente. Felicitaciones
