Bryan's Dad, David, was a great tenor singer back in the day with the Anchormen and Kingdom Heirs. Glad to see Bryan with L5. Bryan is tremendous on "What Kind of Man."

He sure does. Is that your current L5 favorite?

It’s nice to get to know the person behind the songs and you do that so well Matt. I feel led to tell you what I experienced as I watched this program just now and it is this, I could feel the love of God shining through you eyes. Now I know you weren’t looking at me but boy what a testimony of your love for God and willingness to be used by Him shows so profoundly. Now, on the lighter side, love your green screen! Mark talk you into that?🤗 As always God bless you Marr.🙏🏼💕

Hahaha!! The Caribbean scene.... no, Mark didn’t but I sure would love to be hosting these interviews from that actual location! Also, Thanks for the kind words. What has been your favorite interview?

Matthew Fouch Each interview is unique as is the individual so that’s a little difficult to prioritize. I appreciate you asking my opinion though. Clearly Earnie Haase’s willingness to expose the many facets of his life and faith as he did were very impressive. I have watched him since 1975 and see him evolve to who he is today. (I’m thinking you probably weren’t yet born Matt!) However, i also have to add Wes Hampton. True men of God and inspiring. I’m not saying all your guests are not men and women of God but these two really stood out.🙏🏼❤️

22:00 That’s some great songwriting advice. I catch myself doing that but never really thought about how it relates to songwriting. I’ve written a song or two based on a sermon point or a phrase somebody says and playing with that.

You never know what you’ll get out of one of these interviews. How many have you watched?

7 or 8 of the Fouch and Friends recently. Michael and Ronnie Booth, Pat Barker, Ernie Haase, Josh Singletary, Brooklyn Blair/Collingsworth, Aaron McCune... One or two more, I think. I’m loving them.

Personally I found Aaron and Pat’s the most helpful. I’m more of a baritone than a bass but what I really like about most of the Bass Singing Tips videos is how many of the guys will say focus on being a good singer, hitting the notes well and in full voice. “Don’t let them hear your lowest note,” I think Pat said. Or Aaron pointed out the mix and blend is more important. What sounds good? You don’t have to vocal fry and get down to Ab or G. The crowd responds just as well when they feel the power of Bb or C. They hear the low root note, not what key it is. Good tips. Especially since I can get Eb pretty easily, warm up and can maybe get down to C2, but I lose power and volume anywhere beneath that. But I’m a young guy, I’ve got time.

Thanks, Matt, for another great interview. We're really excited about the future for L5. I am confident the Lord will use you guys as He sees fit. You are all quality guys who have formed a team where the skies the limit, just know we are praying for you. One other thing, if I may, when a young man marries and dreams and prays about having a son he hopes for certain qualities and character traits, but most of all he asks the Lord to make his son a man people can and do respect. The Lord has graciously granted my requests. Thanks again Matt....see you soon
