Nobody will be able to match the quality of your engine builds with all the hard work you do to get the best equipment available, I love watching how you build and save these old engines, most people just hack them together and don’t care how long they last
Always shooting for more precision and speed in these old engines. I am putting in the time, machinery, and passion and hope to pass these skills along to someone one day.
Incredible machine and I’m glad that you’re getting to grips with the adjustment! You’ll probably end up with better than factory results. Please keep the videos coming.
There is a lot to learn with this machine and working with the Sip tooling is new to me so that is why I am starting with a test block. More to come as I begin working on actual rebuilds.
I first heard of the SIP machines on the CEE channel. To find one and have it in your own shop is something special! I thought having a medium size engine lathe at home was cool in the 1990's but these days people are getting full on CNC machines in their home garage.
Glad the Hydroptic 8 found an appreciative home! -- More SIP videos please 😊 There are No words to describe the quality and precision of this vintage Swiss machine and it's tooling -- besides Orgasmic... Highly recommend your viewers research the SIP machine -- beyond the videos of the forlorn unit at CEE (which he does seem to regard with due reverence ☺️)
That is a sweet setup you have there. Keep making videos about all of the machine work that you do with the SIP. I would also like to see a video when you make the tooling for it. Keep up the good work Brian.
That is an impressive machine you have there. You will probably be doing more precise machining on engines than the factory did, which I'm sure you would prefer. Hopefully your customers will be able to appreciate it.
It is hard to see just how big the SIP is, but having watched Kurtis's video from CEE, I am amazed how small of a space you were able to fit you machine into...... wonderful video, looking forward to more views........ best wishes from Central Florida, Paul
My Sip 8 is the largest machine they ever built. 40,000 pounds and takes up most of the back space in my barn. This is a much bigger and heavier machine than Kurtis's Sip 6
I really hope to see an AMC v8 come through at some point. I hear there’s different things you can do with boring and switching the cranks and stuff. I’d be really interested to hear anything you might know about that stuff
I have done a bunch of 304, 360 and even 401 rebuilds in the past but not much has come thru the shop these days. I am looking for a 360 to rebuild right now but having a tough time finding a complete one to begin with.

Brian, the passion and knowhow you are already passing on, to me atleast!
Love seeing these machining videos! I appreciate your dedication to the craft! Just wish I lived closer!

I have a SIP MP5 from the 1920s. Love your Hydroptic. Keep the videos coming. --Doozer
Nice, always good to hear from other SIP owners. More videos coming.

Id like to see more.... I really dont know what im looking at.... but it holds my interest.....
Great video. Glad there is someone doing quality machining on these old gems.
always striving to bring the best engines to my customers.
Hi Brian. Lou from Montauk here. Super cool ! Hope my block will be a “SIP” job !👍👌
Very glad that your videos are being made again, always look forward to them!
I love it! What a fabulous machine. I'd be happy to see more. Also, a video of making your tooling would be great!

Love the new Sip, tooling videos coming
How awesome that is. Loved seeing and learning about the tooling. Thanks again Brian
Glad you enjoyed it

Love the Sip machine and the tolerances it can hold. Always trying to get more quality and more efficiency in the shop

quality accuracy perfection ! keep it up
More to come
Sweet setup! Very impressive.
Thanks!
I like it.
you should ask Kurtis at Cutting Edge Engineering if he's got any 50 taper. he just bough a SIP with a bunch of tooling
COOL!! What year was the SIP machine built. What was it used for before you got it?

Yes, I do get tons of emails per day but I will respond to your email as soon as I get a free moment.
👍👍👍
Can you line bore the crank mains on a Hydroptic ? Or not rigid enough ?
Yes this is a 40,000 pound super rigid machine and the horizontal spindle will be line boring a block soon. Will show it when I do it.
👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
always good to hear from you Jim
