The way that Marlborough white horse has been left to deteriorate for so long is heartbreaking. As an avid studier of The White horses I'm pretty sure the last time I saw it clean was at least 6 or 7 years ago.
Hi Jonathan. Brilliant video and thanks for putting it all together and taking us along. I never knew so many white horses existed, let alone a walk which covers such, brilliant. There's a saying "to know enough is enough, is enough to know" and its true, well done. Big thumbs up from me. Atb Dave aka wackyswanderings
I was hoping you'd walk across the little road at Clevancy... my Gran's home village. You probably did! Quite a climb up to Cherhill, I used to be able to do it easily, but not now. It's pronounced Cherrill by the way!
Hey Jonathan. We have just started watching your vids for walking inspiration:-). Which you have indeed achieved:-). Our limit is only about 6-8 miles at the moment but we are trying new places all the time. I myself have started filming just a little and on a budget ( iPhone). May I kindly ask what camera you doing use? Could you perhaps do a little filming kit vid? All the best Jason and Sarah
Hello Jason and Sarah, I don't use anything too special for the videoing I have a Gopro Hero 8 and a Sony RX100 Vii. The Gro Pro is great for walking shots and the Sony works great for zooming in and taking pictures, both do require external mics as their internal audio is not great but I mostly use a Edutige ETM-001 which is cheap and does the job. Nothing wrong with the IPhone really depends what/who you are doing it for really. Enjoy the walking it's not the distance that's important it's the getting out. Jonathan
Calling walks is an occupational hazard to us walkers. I've had to cancel 2 and both times i deemed it to be the right call. I did the mid wilts way at the end of march and it was much better. The only time it was difficult was the bit on the way to Westbury white horse.
I know what you mean about the route to the Westbury horse, it’s the first time I have stopped since I was in my teens. It was hard, but the right thing. I will go back in two weeks to finish it.
Hats off to you sir. You lived to fight another day. The giraffes looked amazing on the side of the hills.
🤣🤣🤣
Nothing wrong with your self reflection here and some wise words. Thanks for the video

Despite not finishing it was a great video, when it was good it was very very good, when it was.........
Thank you, it is a lovely walk and the views are vast, without the weather it would have been a joy.

Cheers for that, I might actually be growing up a few years ago I would have carried on regardless. It was fun till it wasn’t, happy wanderings.

Not that I saw.
