Merry Christmas guys, it’s a fair old drive to be sure. We use the boat when the weather’s right, but the Bay of Biscay can be interesting in winter unless you have proper sea legs. 🤢. Enjoy Benidorm , we like Villajoyosa to one stop down on the tram. Have a great time , best wishes Helen and Martin
Yes, we won't be doing the drive again. During summer, when places are open and have 3 months to travel, it is different, we think we'd rather risk the Biscay Bay.

Trouble is anywhere in France is now harder to do since we left EU.
I’m sorry that it’s not been what you expected but it’s really helpful for us as it tells me my Andy would have a melt down taking Bertha through all those tolls!

Hi guys long way to drive, I made the drive from Calais to Salamanca in 3 day's 1600k last year wouldn't do it again forgot I'm getting old and can't do😂 but was worth it once we got there enjoy yourself once you're got there you'll forget the journey down
Hiya, yes was hell of a journey, we think if it was summer,places open and more time so we could stop for a few days at each place on the way down, it would be better.

Now that we are here, I love being in our motorhome, home comforts and all that xxx
two weeks isn't enough time to do this trip and then have get back . crazy !!! you cant enjoy it if you put a deadline on like that !!
Totally agree, it's our first time in Europe in the Motorhome and has been a huge learning curve for us.
If places were open on the trip down and stopped for two or three days at a place before driving again things would have been much more enjoyable.
We love it here now in Benidorm and are having a ball.
If only we didn't have to go back to work in 10 days, we would enjoy the trip back too.
