    That tub break really made the whole machine shift. That kinda scared me a little bit 🫢

    This cycle is very interesting in my opinion! I would like to see the regular cycle on 10 min wash on auto temp control on warm cold with no catalyst. I would like to see the cycle with darks or a load of t shirts

    Can't wait to see. Did you see that I put my Kenmore 80 Series machine back?

    • @DrummerboysWashersAndMore
      @DrummerboysWashersAndMore  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, I was able to check it out later last night. Sad to see that the Kenmore Elite is “gone” but I feel the 80 series is just as good as the Elite, plus you have infinitely variable water level now!

      @@DrummerboysWashersAndMore Yeah that's true. I did like the Ultra Rinse System though. The variable water level switch seems to be a gimmick. I think it really does the same levels as the one here.

    Can you one day maybe use the maytag machine on the soak cycle and then wash

    In regards to the bleach hose, a cheaper option might be to just buy a zip tie or one of those metal circle things with the screw on it to secure it in place. But of course, if you have the money to get a new clamp, that’s still a good option. Also, I ended up shocking myself last time I flipped the whirlpools control board over with the power still on (by accident of course), and trust me, it doesn’t feel good at all! Just something to keep in mind should you have to do something like this again with the power on, proceed with caution.

      I have a big box of those metal hose clamps with the screw on them, so the next chance I get i’m going to replace a bunch of those old hose clamps with some of those. Normally, whenever I work on the machines, I always make sure to unplug it first to prevent anything from happening. I didn’t this time only because I didn’t want to have to risk starting the cycle over from the beginning.

    The Bleach Dispenser in my Elite did the same thing, but it was because the hose was kinked and it backed up.

    • @DrummerboysWashersAndMore
      @DrummerboysWashersAndMore  2 роки тому

      I think all I need to do to fix it here is just replace the hose clamp. This has happened before but this is the first time i’ve had it do it on camera :p

    Hey 👋🏻Drummerboy, when are we getting another video of this Kenmore Elite? Can you do a cycle without Catalyst on?

    • @DrummerboysWashersAndMore
      @DrummerboysWashersAndMore  2 роки тому

      Hopefully soon. I have a couple more videos I have that I need to upload first, and then will record another video of this machine. I’ll record a video of it without catalyst too!

      @@DrummerboysWashersAndMore Okay great. Do you know why they gave the option to turn catalyst off? I wonder what could be the benefit of not selecting it.

    • @DrummerboysWashersAndMore
      @DrummerboysWashersAndMore  2 роки тому

      @@MatthewJames-st5wv Certain cycles default to not having it on, such as regular, whereas some cycles it cannot be turned off. I believe it’s meant to help remove tough stains and pretreat laundry, and so they believed not all loads needed the treatment. Other than that, your guess is as good as mine!

      @@DrummerboysWashersAndMore You also can't do fast/fast agitation on the lowest water level with this machine, correct?

    • @DrummerboysWashersAndMore
      @DrummerboysWashersAndMore  2 роки тому

      @@MatthewJames-st5wv Yes that is correct. For lower water levels, the machine will step the agitation speed down a step, unless the lowest speed is already being used.

    What does the "Catalyst" button do?

    • @DrummerboysWashersAndMore
      @DrummerboysWashersAndMore  2 роки тому

      The “Catalyst” button, when pressed, is what enables the Catalyst treatment, which is the initial low speed spin and spray. The machine allows in a little bit of water through the detergent dispenser to flush detergent into the tub, and then spins on low speed while recirculating the detergent mixture over the laundry.

    Where is the filter or coin catcher please? Machine started to leak and apparently has been a slow leak for quite sometime. Pulled all hoses abs checked connections but I can’t imagine how there couldn’t be a clog somewhere because we have a lot of freaking furry animals in this house.

    • @DrummerboysWashersAndMore
      @DrummerboysWashersAndMore  2 роки тому +1

      These machines don’t have a special lint or coin catcher. Usually if they leak, it’ll either be from one of the hoses, hose connections, or the pump itself, which is on the bottom front of the machine connected to the motor. The only “filter” they have is on the bottom of the tub itself, and would not cause any leaks. You may also want to check along the bottom part of the plastic outer tub too. I hope that helps!

    Hey Drummerboy, I enjoyed the video. However I was put on timeout for asking a question during the live chat. Since when UA-cam puts people on timeout for asking a question? Many of your followers are a bunch of little brats who think they know everything about washers. If you have put me on time out then that's okay. You're not doing me any favors.

    • @DrummerboysWashersAndMore
      @DrummerboysWashersAndMore  2 роки тому

      I apologize for that, as that was not my doing, but rather one of the other moderators (who I do not wish to disclose at this time). I do appreciate you sticking around though! I will do my best to make sure that it does not happen again.

      @@DrummerboysWashersAndMore I can reckoned that it wasn't you but I just asked a question I was curious to know. I asked two questions and all of a sudden I got placed on time out. Like I said I have always enjoyed your videos but I will no longer like or subscribe to your channel or join any of your live chats if my comments or questions are not being respected from the other subscribers. I am a fanatic of washing machines just like all of you and I may not be a washer "geek" like the rest of the crew but I am just as important. Congrats on 500 subscribers. UA-cam needs to show more respect on freedom of speech. I don't think my questions were "inappropriate" and putting me on time out was unnecessary.

      @@ericgreen2195 I fully agree that putting you, as well as a couple other members, into timeout was completely unfair as well as inappropriate. I do not believe the intentions of the other moderator were negative, and It was not meant to punish anyone, but it should not have happened in the first place. If it happens again or if it continues to be an issue I will have a talk with the other moderator and/or remove their moderator privileges. I take pride in what I do and do not want it to happen again to anyone, as all of my viewers and subscribers should be treated fairly and equally. I deeply apologize that this is even a problem that needs to be discussed in the first place and hope you are able to continue to enjoy these videos as much as everyone else.

      @@ericgreen2195 I completely understand. I will do my absolute best to make sure that it does not happen again, and if it does or something similar comes up again, that moderator will lose their privileges of being a moderator. Once again, I apologize for their actions and believe as you do that it was unfair to the other viewers, as nothing wrong was done by you or any of the other people. I do not have any issue with questions nor do I find question by you or any other member of my community annoying by any means.
