Brett Hess - I understand that! Almost every month I have to watch and wait for clouds to part or move by. We had a bunch tonight, but they cleared really nicely. Unfortunately, my camera doesn't do a great job capturing it. Yehovah bless you brother!

Thank you for your diligence. I couldn't see ithe sliver moon through the clouds but trust your eyes beheld it. 👍🎺⚟
I sometimes watch the EliYah group. Last evening they were celebrating Yom T'ruah. They go by the barley maturation and moon sighting. I wonder how they reached their conclusion...

Lina K - Greetings! I do need to find a better camera (one of these days). It was a nice sized crescent and easy to see with your eyes, but the camera just couldn't capture it. Sorry. As far as the other group(s), I know there are several who do the same and are in the 7th month. In fact, my friend, Tony and I discussed this just last night. He had a great point. He said, look around. This is barely the end of summer and definitely not FALL. As long as I've been keeping the feasts days, I can't recall any of them being this early (I could be wrong). It seems like we've always had the 7th month in mid-late September or October. I haven't gone back to the calendars of years past, so can't prove it. The many times I've set up a tent and/or tarps in the yard to sleep in for Sukkot. We almost always have rain, and sometimes it's very cold (like in October). I don't doubt the schedule I am trying to keep. It all seems to make sense and fits with how I was taught the barley is declared "Aviv". I don't have the 'authority' nor the desire to argue with other groups who are doing what they believe is right. I wish it wasn't this way, as it would be awesome to all be on the same page. Not sure if I told you, but out here, there are several groups now that celebrate "Rosh Chodesh"! But, they just go by the 1st day of the month on the "pre-calculated" rabbinic calendar?? I thought that was so odd. The term "Rosh Chodesh" always meant "head of the month" but always referred to the New Moon. But rather than just going outside and sighting the moon, they just go by the calendar. For years I never heard this mentioned by anyone. I'm curious why now? Have you seen an increase in people learning and following more "rabbinics" or Talmud ways in Hebrew Roots or Torah believers? It's almost like there isn't the same discernment and I think people are being prepared to accept the Noahide laws as valid. (That's a long story there.) Just wondering your perspective. Nice to hear from you.Yehovah bless. Gregg
