Liam Howlett from the Prodigy interview at Central Station Records, Sydney in 1994 with Glen TV. Coolest guy possible. #LiamHowlett, #Prodigy, #GlenMacKay, #GlenTV
CJ Bolland is a legend, he's made so many different types of Techno under different aliases since the late 80's. Horsepower/ Rave signal is a particularly big tune from '91, included by Underworld on Their Back To Mine comp, as well as being a massive rave track back in the day.
Mixmag really did unfairly target The Prodigy in mid '92, I've read the article where they wrote that 'Charlie killed rave', it's pretty ridiculous, by Dom Phillips, who was a good journalist and was tragically murdered in Brazil, I'm not criticising him as a person, rest in peace to him, but it was unfair to write that - he was talking about the commercialisation of the hardcore/ breakbeat rave scene - but there were far more cheesy commercial artists to single out than The Prodigy. That's why in the video for Fire, the band throw copies of Mixmag onto a bonfire. That's the kind of thing Liam is referring to here with the British press.
Thank you, Liam!...Little that he knew he was gonna play Their Law live for another 30ish years, still cracking it big time, yeah!
Footage like this is a rare as hen's teeth - thanks for sharing!
Thanks @spies on mars - Have you seen our other Prodigy gem? - ua-cam.com/video/O3fHM2kC0tk/v-deo.html
Wow...thanks for uploading this jewel !!
Seeing old central station records gives me flashbacks. I really wanted to go to the Canberra show but unfortunately missed it.
❤️❤️❤️
Wow Liam in 94, I'd expect him to have that rainbow bridge from Thor beaming out the top of his head or something. He looks like a normal bloke!
Watch the Electronic Punks video if you want to see more footage of them from this era.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yes @INTERpEST, it's CJ Bolland - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C._J._Bolland. He's actully from Belgium, not Germany.
2:14: Can‘t grasp the name of the act. Could anyone help out, please? Thanx.
CJ Bolland
