Great mix! My cat immediately stopped running around the house and sat for a moment, closing his eyes to listen to the peaceful piano. I've been playing it nonstop for six days and he's now sipping coffee and writing his dissertation on the Cruelty of Existence. Often times I go to pet him and he brushes me off, clearly focused on his work. It's almost as if he's another cat now. A memory of something that has faded away, now focusing solely on his studies and with a deep introspection that I will never yet be able to break through again.

Holy shit HOW DOES THIS WORK!? I had just brought home my cat from his other owner and he was just hiding under the couch. One hour of that later I googled how to make him feel safe and playing this came up. I played it and put the laptop on the floor in that room and went to the kitchen to make pasta. When I came back he's out and sniffing everything, even came up to me and wanted me to pet him. 15 more minutes and he laid down on his back next to me showing his belly and general signs he trusts me. Currently trying this music on a cat I'm watching while their owners are out of town. He is extremely shy, and for the past 3 days, he hasn't come out or even had anything to do with me. I recently rescued two 4/5 week old kittens from a feral cat colony in Bushwick. A brother and sister, black with bright blue eyes. They have been home around three weeks now and are slowly getting used to my partner and I. They just got their first vaccine, and sister especially was very sleepy and sensitive after the vet. I had to separate them because brother Domino is a little rascal and couldn't take the hint that Dolly was not in the mood to be pounced on! Dolly was getting so anxious and grumpy. I found this music and it definitely calmed them down! I find it so relaxing and play it all the time for them now. Thank you to the poster for sharing this, so smart and helpful! I think it is so beautiful that humans can create something for animals, just for the sake of making them feel happy.
This should be advertised as for people aswell as cats as (with the exception of when the ads shout out) this is so heavenly, relaxing and calming. I’m hypnotised and I need to get up and do things but I just can’t. My usually fairly unfriendly cat is snuggled up against me and I could just stay here forever. Everyone thinks she’s attacking me but she’s not she’s just a little rough lol when we play, we play hide and seek and then she runs up to me and runs away and then when she finds me or I find her she bats me a bit then runs away again!
