  • Why did you choose your topic, sperm processing routines in assisted reproduction? Why emphasize seminal plasma, after all, isn’t this component readily left behind with semen processing? And what do you see in the future for ART labs as best practices for processing sperm?
Ted Tollner received his doctorate from UC Davis in Molecular, Cellular and Integrated Physiology with an emphasis in Reproductive Biology. He has been a researcher in the field of sperm biology, sperm cryobiology, and primate fertilization at UC Davis for over 30 years. Dr. Tollner served as chair of the biology department at William Jessup University, as laboratory director for California IVF Fertility Center and California Center for Reproductive Medicine, and as a technical adviser to numerous companies and organizations.  He is co-founder and head of research and development of Reprovantage Laboratories, which specializes in developing new technologies and services for male fertility preservation.
The interview was made during The Cryos Symposium 2023, a full day scientific conference with international experts sharing the latest knowledge and research within the field of MAR (Medically Assisted Reproduction). Read more about the Cryos Symposium here: www.cryosinter...
