Beware with recyclability issue. Make sure those 9 layers are coming from the same family of the polymer, otherwise it will become a problem in recycling.
you can't do mechanical recycling in multilayer bottles with different polymers, specially EVOH barrier layer bottles. Chemical recycling is the answer.
you can combine many materials for increase adavtagens like oxigen/other gas barrier, mechanical resistance, for economy with raw material as long as you use recicled on inside, for diferent colors, for black color on inside layer for light protection to the product, etc.
