Yeah, and it looks good too. They haven’t changed the design for a reason until now because it was perfect. All they had to do was incorporate the obstacle avoidance into the Alien like head and update the features instead of a total new design. Thanks Greg!

I think the powerful features which is the primary reason about this drone is ignored by you, which is the crisp and quality of the camera
And that is why the title is named that way and not about the camera.
That is also why the camera quality video was already demonstrated prior to this 1080p video in an all 4k resolution upload.

I bought one myself and it is really amazing
I'm so glad I watched this review, I watched another review and the guy gave me the impression that the batteries were the same, except for the different mah levels, I was intent on buying a couple of the F22s batteries for my F11s for the extra flight time, now I'm aware I would have wasted my money and I've saved myself from being very disappointed.
I'd be inclined to buy a set of the F11s aftermarket lands skids for this drone to alleviate any concerns regarding the forward landing legs folding up unexpectedly, I'm seriously considering the purchase of one in the very near future.
I think the unfoldable prop design is because maybe the performance is better that way. The "grabbing" factor with the props on the way well the 99% of the time the idea is that the drone is in the air. Folding and unfolding is going to be minimum. Also about the landing legs I have NEVER seen one of this drones failing when landing but if that is a real concern you can put a thin aluminum or plastic separator that goes from one leg to the other. Kind of that old gimball protectors for the phantom 4. I think that those are small details when you have a much better radio, batt life improvement, obstacle avoidance, etc. But yes those are kind of design flaws but for me nothing serious. Great review man !.
An excellent concise and informative video. Just one question. As you went through preflight setup. Do you have to do the “Reset Factory Settings” each time you prep to fly?
Thanks. No you don't need to reset but you do need to calibrate the compass.

The F22s is a Re-branded Holy Stone HS600 with Obstacle Avoidance.
The HS600 has landing lights, the design is identical, and the batteries are fully compatible. The controllers are different. The F22s controller looks more in comparison with the DJI Mini 2.
I have a Fimi X8 SE 2020, DJI Mini 2, HS600, and the F22s. The F22s comes a close third in that line up.
So which one is better to buy in all of them?....dji mini has less features 🤔
Please also take a look at ZLL SG906 MAX Beast3 EVO. it's also very new and if like to see the footage of that drone. This was an epic review and would like to see more of this drone aswell

I am intrested in kv of broth models, I think the laser is not a good thing , if you fly to low it stopts if you pitch at low attitude. Night fligths are forbidden in my country, also fly in 150 meter within buildings so the laser i never use. In Europe we have a pilot license for this and restricted flights within the A1 and A3
My fone is a usb type c..how to connect..base on your unboxing the free connector free is only 2 pcs..a usb and iphone type connector

Agree with you on the 'new' design; it's indeed a step back from the previous models. Guess they wanted a change from the older models, but it's not exactly an improvement.
I’m already thinking about it all the time and it bothers me so much every time I go to grab it. Windy here now but initial hover flights is not really that great either. I’m thinking F11 platform still better.
This drone have automatic discharge of battery for protection after five days with not used it? (Like other drones like Mavic has?

I prefer the F11 form factor, this new design I feel is change for change sakes to distinguish it from the F11 which obviously is a marketing decision to encourage sales as just adding avoidance detection to the F11 probably wouldn't look like much of an upgrade. I do however like the controller and the hard wiring to the phone as opposed to wifi connection. There is no doubt about it however, with each uograde and release these more affordable drones are proving very capable and are no longer regarded as glorified toys. Very good , thorough, overview as usual Pete, we can always rely on an honest, knowledgeable assessment and review.
You are absolutely right since the design hasn't changed for the three iterations of the F11. It looks nice folded out and the remote is awesome! Hope the mechanics are just as good as the F11 or better :) Thanks Richard! 🍺🍺

look great, Pete, But the landing legs are a concern, plus, the way it folds away with the unfordable props. poor design, as you mentioned. looking forward to the flight test. they should kept the last model design. still could have put the new front light, and landing light. bottom camera on the old design as well. just my opinion
I don't know what they were thinking but they going the wrong way with the design. Oh yeah, fore sure they could have just kept the old design and just added the extra stuff. Hopefully it performs better than the F11 drones. It does have some yaw issues in the first hover test around the house so I'm not so sure about this one.

On FAA website the F22s is remote id ready but not sure where to find the ID number to register, do you know?
I don't think it is remote id ready. I think it means that it needs remote id.
I want to buy what i do?
I would love for Ruko/ SJRC... wherever they get their quads from, to find a nice sub 250g one, with same transmission distance, same 6 axis stability flight system, level 5 or above wind resistance, and an improved camera. I believe they do this without breaking into tooo much of a higher price point. They would be able to avoid the Remote ID bullcrap, and have a very popular aircraft! I definitely like the new (for them) controller!
