All it took was a mere four minutes! Just four minutes!! If it wasn’t for the wind I would have thought it was done in fast motion. And did you see those Boulders rolling around like marbles? This was incredible! Absolutely incredible footage.
@@karinpope7940 all the lava from this volcano is basalt. Temperatures of lava at the time it hits the surface is the only real difference between what you see in any given moment coming from this volcano and this particular channel on this particular night managed to flow both versions of basaltic lava coming through it at different times. If you look at the videos earlier in the night those were Young Aa flows where this one is Cleary far more on the Pahoehoe side of things. It simply works like this young hot and highly fluid is Pahoehoe older cooler and rapidly becoming a rolling pile of lava stones is Aa! In the end Pahoehoe can became Aa but Aa can never become Pahoehoe.
Just astoundingly awesome video, Nina!!! Thanks for sharing..... but do be careful. The more unpredictable this thing becomes, the more dangerous it is!
Wow, wow, wow Nina! _You captured an amazing event/flood, it made me get up and do the _*_'Nina Dance!'_* Some of those lava-bergs were as big as cars and busses!
Me, too! DON’T DO THAT AGAIN! You could trip and fall, and become --- crispy critters! One twisted ankle; one long shoelace to trip on --- death by cremation…..
Awsome volcano. This type of lava is very dangerous because its almost like water and moves at fast speed. So be careful. Exellent footage. Thank you so much!
I've watched these videos since the eruption began, I thought I had seen incredible things. Nina, you have changed my mind! This is ( expletive deleted) AMAZING !
NinaNX... She isn't scared of anything! Except maybe being the sacrificed to the volcano. Smart lady, sees lava coming, takes video, runs away! Love ya Nina!💐😇
I saw this live on the webcam, it looked like a little tongue coming down. I was hoping that someone would’ve got better footage and you certainly did! Awesome!
Even 6 months down the line I am completely fascinated and in awe of the power of nature. It is a shame though that all this firey beauty turns black eventually…Fantastic coverage as usual so thank you Nina!
Wow Nina this is incredible! I cant get over how fast that happened! Omg and whats up with those giant lava marbles rolling down the hill? thats a first for sure! Thanks for all you do and stay safe!
Well thats a LOT more than normal. You are very brave to stand there as its running to greet you with 2300 degree hugs. I hope you and Roman stay safe during this week of increased activity, and your videos are beautiful as always :) God bless you and keep you and Roman for doing all this to show us this while we sit in air conditioned spaces 4000 miles away from any danger.
It's amazing how fast this lava has flooded the area in such a short amount of time. Please be careful ! It is very dangerous there. Gases and explosions can happen. May you be Blessed . and thank you for sharing this video
I’m surprised you were able to be there. I saw a Reykjavik news video from earlier today that showed police/security had permanently closed Trail A (after closing it in the morning and briefly reopened it).
Omg Nina .. please be careful..its quickly filling up ...scary please this area soon won't be safe. It looks so ominous during these night videos. Be careful !
I was thinking the exact same thing..... hopefully they know what they're doing as they know the area well. I'm also wondering if lava could come up through a crack caused by the quakes. There are a lot of small quakes there. That also scares me.
No wonder the Search and Rescue folks closed Trail A. They were right to do it. Really awesome footage. So glad you can be our eyes.

This video is in fast motion
@@Thrice909 No it's not
@@Thrice909 No it isn’t in fast motion because this is (I think) basaltic lava and has low viscosity compared with the lava 6months ago
INCREDIBLE!!

OMG you guys were in the right place at the right time! 👏👏👏...what a capture you got! 😳😳😳...this is AMAZING!!!
that is by far the most amazing and well filmed footage I have yet seen of this eruption. Great work Nina!

Amazing, historical experience! It's incredible, Nina! Much love always 💞. Brenda

Traditionally, volcanoes only quell their lava furies for sacrifices of "virgins." Married women just don't appeal to them. Lol.

In which area was this? I just woke up.

Thanks. That's a crap load of lava. At this rate, if it keeps up like this, I'd give that dam at the end of the valley a week.
Your footage is priceless. I hope you and Gutn Tog put together a book of shots of this event when it ends. You'll be able to retire in Italy easy.
Even 6 months down the line I am completely fascinated and in awe of the power of nature. It is a shame though that all this firey beauty turns black eventually…Fantastic coverage as usual so thank you Nina!
Oh WoW !! Great Footage !!!
So crazy beautiful! I have no further words 💬, other than, Thank you, for sharing this with us.
Wow Nina this is incredible! I cant get over how fast that happened! Omg and whats up with those giant lava marbles rolling down the hill? thats a first for sure! Thanks for all you do and stay safe!
Kind of a small example of how these 40 million-year-old Basalt lava flows formed. This is truly amazing..
40 million-year-old? How do you know that? (truly curious, want to learn)

Great video Nina!
I love watching your videos
Beautiful golden color gliding over the inky night.
Run faster! We don't want to lose you. Thank you, this was awesome and terrifying.
Watching those big pieces of hard lava being pushed down the hill by the liquid lava reminds me of how a water flash flood pushes big rocks around.
Lava’s moving very fast! Great video! Please be careful!
Stunning footage. Thanks for sharing! :)
This is very impressive footage of lava flow.
a brilliant video well done Nina.thank you for sharing it with us.

Nina uses her mighty super powers to escape the evil hot lava!💥💫 👏
She did the Nina dance, which made the lava extremely hot under the collar!
_Roman is a lucky man!_
Definitely a good smooth flow, looks great in the darkness.

Thanks to the Lord you didn't struggled. That was very risky, Nina!
MasyaAllah. Very fantastic moments. Oh my God.
Glad you are safe.
Running out of additives to write about the lava flow. The heat, even at a distance, must be tremendous!
Thank you for your efforts.
And to think that came over one of the original "walls" built to stop the lava.
Holy shit! I know a lady leaving for Iceland tomorrow. She’s in for a show.
I commented to Roman if no one is there in charge do not be afraid to take charge it could save lives.
ehh I don't think anyone was in danger here or will be anytime soon
Roman is awesome, I toured with him in August up there
So awesome looking at night

I'm not even near it and I started running lol.
Wow! Good to see you are ok and still posting ...
Do I see this correct? This was the long berm, and the lava is flowing to Natthagi Kriki?
No, it was flowing down to Natthagi, over the same path it took a couple of months ago, when it cut off trail A
That’s fast.
WOW!!
Run Nina, Run🙏🌹🌹🌹
Ah, reminds me of home 🔥🖖🏼
Those big boulders look like snowballs when they roll over!
Oh wow !!!! Run run run !!!
That is an unbelievable amount of lava flowing down there.
Time to clear that volcano of thrill seekers i think, getting unpredictable but the footage is amazing.
Oh my God, this is realy heavy and dangerous. Take care!!
the floor really is lava
thats alot of Lava holy shyte when will it end !!!!
Holy smokes, Nina! Please take care of yourself!
Tell me please, could lava reach the city of Reykjavík??? I'm very scared,I have really panic!!!
Welp, avoid getting encircled by the lava, walk at a decent pace and you should be ok😅
I was thinking the exact same thing..... hopefully they know what they're doing as they know the area well. I'm also wondering if lava could come up through a crack caused by the quakes. There are a lot of small quakes there. That also scares me.
