The key to this one is getting the lucky strike variant from the dilettante challenge. It gives you a great iron sight, freeing up an attachment slot. I found that Ace's first recommended setup is the best way to go for standard multiplayer/ground war matches, but I use the 100 round mags and drop the red dot for a compensator to offset the extra recoil from having no stock. I did some wall tests and it seems like the combo of no stock + compensator is somehow superior to the base weapon recoil, so after maximizing ADS speed with the no stock, stippled grip, and tac laser, the compensator gives the gun the best possible improvement for that final slot. Went 77-10 in the boneyard with this setup the other night. Stick to midrange engagements and pretty much nothing can outgun you.
The free variant you get in the battle pass has no stick thing on the left of the iron sights and is absolutely beautiful and no optic is needed. So aesthetically pleasing. A perfect mix of modern and old
Stippled grip tape, 5mm laser, monocle optic, FMJ perk, and 100 round drum mag. Best set up I have found. Got gold on this gun first and it looks really good on the MG34.
This made me smile too big when I saw it on my timeline! Also, you were honest with your review and I appreciate that because I know you despise this gun. It absolutely melts enemies if you can get used to it. Also, I cried laughing when you plugged kontrol freaks during the reload. Absolutely hilarious!!!
I mean, it should be the slowest MG as the MG34 is actually an MMG, used for emplacements and vehicles. Kinda would have liked a free hanging belt of 200 rounds of ammo.
its not the mmg version f the mg34 in the version you use in modern warfare you use assault mags so its not as heavy as it is with belt but comes at a cost of mag size
I’ve been using this gun recently. It has the slowest mobility, but kills so incredibly fast. I’m almost never killed by it because I think it’s super under rated. It absolutely MELTS people and I can’t wait to get gold with it. In my opinion, the TTK is somewhat balanced because of its incredibly slow handling (reload speed, movement speed, etc). I really hope they buff the default reload speed and buff one of the barrels.
No logic in that, Mg42 is completely different construction to mg34. Simplified to reduce manufacturing cost and also faster fire rate, different berrel shroud and berrel change mechanism etc..
Pro tip for this gun, compensator is your friend, it can nullify all recoil control losses from no stock, and the BLOWtorch blueprint gives clean iron sights, you're welcome :)
I would literally just mow through teams like a juggernaut with this gun . Even though the aim down sight speed is slow once it starts firing you’re winning the fire fight
Late but you can be pretty aggressive with this gun if you us the 100 drum, 5mm laser, stubby barrel, no stock, and either the merc grip if you like the irons or a sight. The merc grip improves the hipfire spread and the increased mobility is noticeable.
Lol I have an anti air class and I almost always use this gun. Fmj, 100 mags, mono suppressor, long barrel, pila, cold blooded, pointman, amped, prox mine, decoys, and an ammo box. Make sure to run a counter uav too. This class changes the tide FAST lmao
*IF YOU HATE THE IRONS SIGHTS ON THIS GUN, IN THE BATTLEPASS THERE IS A MG34 BLUEPRINT THAT CHANGES THE IRONSIGHTS AND LET ME TELL YOU THEY MAKE THIS GUN OP* *Also using the blueprint use this class setup for rushing* Stippled grip Tac laser Sleight of hand Stubby barrel No stock *this is the SUPIOR rushing class if you want to treat it like a ar, but if you cant handle the reload use a ammo attachment and swap it for sleight of hand* The battlepass blueprint is called *BLOWTORCH* You need this blueprint if you want to make this rushing class, but hate the iron sights
C480 Pro Optic, Ranger Foregrip, 100 rounds, compensator, and I forgot what the last one was. I don't bother trying to fix the ADS or movement speed, this gun is what is and it's best to try to maximize what it's good at. When you have a good spot to shoot from this thing dominates. When you have to move a lot, you're getting out flanked. This gun makes enemy teams disperse, crowds turn into puddles in a second with this thing.
I turned this into an assault rifle. No stock, stubby barrel, 75 round mag, compensator, and sleight of hand. I personally don't mind the irons too much, and this is by-far my favorite LMG.
This thing is a ton of fun with short barrel, no stock, operator grip, 5mw laser, and 100 round belts. Just hip fire and don't even try to aim. It shreds anybody you catch in a sprint up to 10 yards. Perfect for Shipment.
This was the first LMG I put a lot of levels into, it turned out to be a great one (despite the long reload). Equip FMJ and it shreds people through cover.
sometimes I find myself having to choose between extending my range with a barrel or adding FMJ to wall bang, because you can have FMJ, but if you don't have the range, you won't do much, because FMJ prevents a lot of decreased dmg through cover, but dmg through cover decreases the same way a bullet would over range. So I found it more important to just increase range on guns I wanted to wall bang with, because it could do a similar job to FMJ, while actually providing value outside of wall bang situations. The only thing is, FMJ is the only perk that helps you melt kill streaks, but that only gives situational value as well, because hopefully your team isn't feeding the enemy killstreaks all game. FMJ is usually what I take when I'm leveling up a gun and don't like the available attachments. Most of the perks aren't very good, and for FMJ, you don't really know what you can shoot through and not. To me perks are the go to if I want to prevent adding weight to my gun from attachments, but most of the guns in this game don't have the luxury of decreasing recoil (which slows handling) without having to spend additional slots to speed the handling back up again, so it's hard to actually have an open slot for a perk, and most perks only provide situational value.
@@Eastra3 Wall penetration is a real weak point of this CoD, back in the day FMJ (Deep Impact) would make basically any gun amazing in any game Ghosts or prior. I don't enjoy wall-banging as much anymore BC lots of "metal looking surfaces" simply aren't penetrable. ...In CoD: 4 if you used Deep Impact and Stopping Power you could just blind fire on almost any wall and hit someone.
Hands down the best LMG in the game. This setup absolutely sprays enemies from close to medium range. Lightweight supressor 100 round belt VLK Optic Stripped grip Commando forgrip
Favorite LMG in this game, only thing i don't like is the fact that before you get to extended mags for it, you often keep reloading a lot (that and the ADS speed).
I set up a class to hold down areas on objective game modes like headquarters and hard point. Using EOD, pointman, and battleharden for perks and running a shield for feild upgrade. So many people just blinding go down the lane I'm holding and just be shredded. Occasionally you get the 3 braincelled player who flanks. But I usually have my streaks thanks to the new pointman (got a juggy after defending one objective)
I've recently been playing around with this. I'd like to see a video with it used as a ranger semi-auto gun When in groundwar it's been surprisingly effective at suppressing sniper fire. You can get kills at range with a sniper scope but it's recoil makes it tough. Usually you have two sides with sniper rifles just taking turns: fire, duck, fire, duck, reload, fire, duck. Whoever is better at aiming wins. The 38 seems to put a little fear of God in them. They aren't used to taking heavy fire in those situations. Keep them poking there heads while I give my snipers time to pop them. Again, it's difficult to get kills but you do get a lot of hit markers and I feel it's a solid strategy. It's not the kind of gun to go 1v1 with a sniper but you will be the hero if the enemy rushes the roof and it's quite effective at hitting closer ground targets Emphasis on aiming stability and a little on recoil. Single fire lessens the recoil quite a bit but I'd like to see a recoil test on it. 50 round belt, in those situations you can take the time to reload (still annoying) and you need the extra slot for other attachments. Same with anything to lessen aim down sight. You will be kneeling, aiming and then standing. Don't waste attachment slots I'm getting a little board with my standard play styles so I figured I'd try something different. This has been fairly fun and I genuinely believe I've made things easier for my teamates
Actually, I've found that if you get the Lucky Strike Blueprint from the challenge Dilletante, pretty easy challenge btw, the Iron Sights are magnificent. That big-ass clunkt bae in the middle goes away. You can just take the blueprint's holographic sight off and comfortably use that to great effect.
Try this gun out with FMJ, as an anti-air class you can swap to when you die to a VTOL. It absolutely shreds air support. The Blowback skin has excellent iron sights.
I know you probably already figured this out and mentioned it in one of your videos, but there are a few blueprints you can start with on this gun (before modding it how you like) which clean up the iron-sights and take away that chunky piece of metal on the side which blocks your view. One of them is called "iridescent" i think, but there are a few now which do the same job in cleaning up the ironsights.
I have spent a couple hours trying to level this gun up and can't find one reason to continue. That reload speed is the kiss of death, and it takes forever to shoulder it. Campers will love it............
why do I love this gun?? I get that statistically its slow and clunky and all,but to me it feels awesome and I run it with overkill and the kar98k (both with fmj and no attachments) and double thermite nades and the poison gas and I do really well and just have fun! Also I can hit my juul while it reloads so that it pretty sick...
Once your aimed down sight .... YES ... great to use .... just getting to that point is so so risky it’s hard to be “competitive”. The LMG class is by far my favorite.... I just wish the damage was a bit higher since u sacrifice speed in a lot of areas and put yourself at a HUGE disadvantage just to reload.
Can u do the dragonov for the next one but please test the skeleton stock because it has the same stats as the vlk one but has better mobility and control
Hey Ace I've noticed that on certain weapons with long barrels their moving and even standing still hip-fire spread are worse! Has anyone else noticed this?
If you wanna use this gun to lock down lanes u don’t wanna use a tac laser cuz the enemy team will see ur green laser miles away. I’d replace it with stippled grip or any attachments that helps with aiming stability.
This gun is super slow to react. But once it start firing, it meows down whatever targets at whatever distance. With fmj, it shots down chopper gunner with around 60 rounds, vtol at about 80. I haven’t see any streaks that it can’t take down with 100 rounds.
B N I think Ace said it was cosmetic only for the Uzi, but I guess the M91 and the MG34 have actual open-bolt lock-up delays. When I used the Uzi I felt like there was a lock-up delay but Ace said otherwise 🤷♂️
Depends. If u want to play multiplayer, mg34 is better. If u want to play warzone, Finn is better. Finn can get kills at like 200 meters away. Mg34 can't do it. Too much recoil. In multiplayer, unless ground war, you won't find that kind of range.
First LMG I got gold. Besides the painfully slow reload time I absolutely loved the grind of this gun. The new blowtorch blueprint has significantly better iron sights.
After getting my dismembering PKM gold so fast, I decided I might as well grind for my first Platinums and going to do the MG34 next. Luckily my one Blueprint for the gun gives it very clean iron sights
Does stacking all of those ads attachments have a cutoff? Like, after two ads attachments does it stop benefiting you to use them? I've often wondered this for all weapons not just this one
2:13 I just force myself 5o use the irons, therefore, I pretty good at using the gun with them, could be just because I use the stubby barrel which adds a little green dot on the irons
I like to run it with a 3x optic, sleight of hand, biggest belt avaliable, long barrel and a merc foregrip. Its very slow, but DAMN it is surely a buzzsaw.

The free variant you get in the battle pass has no stick thing on the left of the iron sights and is absolutely beautiful and no optic is needed. So aesthetically pleasing. A perfect mix of modern and old
That was the one of the best plugs I’ve ever heard 😂😂 You can go make a Sandwich while that gun reloads🤷🏽♂️
I loved this in hardcore shipment! Definitely one of the easier parts of the Damascus grind.
Yeah in shipment it destroys everybody
Erfan Esa12 I just focused on its handling and put the 100 rounder on and and went to town! Worked like a charm.
@@seann2769 Nice!
Sean N not to mention the LMG challenges are WAY shorter than the assault rifles. Holy shit it takes like 3 days for me to get one gold AR
Tancheap McFatass yeah the ARs were the most tedious part of the grind for sure. Riot shield was most painful. But ARs just took soooo long.
Thank you ace for these gun guides. They are extremely helpful, and are fun to watch! Keep it up man, you insane!
@@Wijahman unloaded, an mg34 weighs about 12 kilos.
The iron sight on this lmg its a mesuaring tape
Yeah, and it's not that bad
I’ve been using this gun recently. It has the slowest mobility, but kills so incredibly fast. I’m almost never killed by it because I think it’s super under rated. It absolutely MELTS people and I can’t wait to get gold with it. In my opinion, the TTK is somewhat balanced because of its incredibly slow handling (reload speed, movement speed, etc). I really hope they buff the default reload speed and buff one of the barrels.
There should be a weapon conversion kit to transform it into the mg42
Meng Vang exactly
No logic in that, Mg42 is completely different construction to mg34. Simplified to reduce manufacturing cost and also faster fire rate, different berrel shroud and berrel change mechanism etc..
1700?
No Bones Jones it shot fast enough to literally slice somebody in half if swiped across
KAHEL considering you can turn an AKM to an AK-12 i wouldnt say its too far beyond reality.
Pro tip for this gun, compensator is your friend, it can nullify all recoil control losses from no stock, and the BLOWtorch blueprint gives clean iron sights, you're welcome :)
Slow reloads are a plus for peeps who love lmgs. Gives us time to soak in all the killing we just did.
FINALLY, the MG34 is my favorite weapon in the game and I love it
*IF YOU HATE THE IRONS SIGHTS ON THIS GUN, IN THE BATTLEPASS THERE IS A MG34 BLUEPRINT THAT CHANGES THE IRONSIGHTS AND LET ME TELL YOU THEY MAKE THIS GUN OP*
*Also using the blueprint use this class setup for rushing*
Stippled grip
Tac laser
Sleight of hand
Stubby barrel
No stock
*this is the SUPIOR rushing class if you want to treat it like a ar, but if you cant handle the reload use a ammo attachment and swap it for sleight of hand*
The battlepass blueprint is called *BLOWTORCH* You need this blueprint if you want to make this rushing class, but hate the iron sights
This gun is so gnarly. Majorly underrated.
When using this gun puts a smile on my face
Hands down the best LMG in the game. This setup absolutely sprays enemies from close to medium range.
Lightweight supressor
100 round belt
VLK Optic
Stripped grip
Commando forgrip
Now with the open bolt delay buff this gun truly is the heavy and slow but super powerful LMG
The new PS4 blue mg 34 is dope I'm loving it since I unlocked it the other day
Best ad plug ever.
Favorite LMG in this game, only thing i don't like is the fact that before you get to extended mags for it, you often keep reloading a lot (that and the ADS speed).
The BLOWtorch variant of this gun (Season 2 level 38) has perfect iron sights through.
your absolutely right about its iron sight the metal bar beside it is too distracting
But I usually have my streaks thanks to the new pointman (got a juggy after defending one objective)
noob spotted
noob
I've recently been playing around with this. I'd like to see a video with it used as a ranger semi-auto gun
When in groundwar it's been surprisingly effective at suppressing sniper fire. It's not the kind of gun to go 1v1 with a sniper but you will be the hero if the enemy rushes the roof and it's quite effective at hitting closer ground targets
Emphasis on aiming stability and a little on recoil. Don't waste attachment slots
I'm getting a little board with my standard play styles so I figured I'd try something different. This has been fairly fun and I genuinely believe I've made things easier for my teamates
the copper spray variant has really good irons
Actually, I've found that if you get the Lucky Strike Blueprint from the challenge Dilletante, pretty easy challenge btw, the Iron Sights are magnificent. That big-ass clunkt bae in the middle goes away. You can just take the blueprint's holographic sight off and comfortably use that to great effect.
Try this gun out with FMJ, as an anti-air class you can swap to when you die to a VTOL. It absolutely shreds air support. The Blowback skin has excellent iron sights.
I used to use this gun, but I stopped using it because of the nerfs it got a while back. After seeing this video, it makes me want to use it again.
I know you probably already figured this out and mentioned it in one of your videos, but there are a few blueprints you can start with on this gun (before modding it how you like) which clean up the iron-sights and take away that chunky piece of metal on the side which blocks your view. One of them is called "iridescent" i think, but there are a few now which do the same job in cleaning up the ironsights.
another one is called "blowtorch"
7 sec reload? For a lmg its cool, back in bo2 my favorite lmg, MK.48 took 10seconds to reload my dude.
lsat
those 2 shot lmgs are the BEST,
Mk. 48 was my favorite too. So underrated because everyone went for the LSAT.
Shooting feels great.
EVERYTHING else feels like you're moving underwater in a dream.
best LMG in the game. Insane TTK, and easy recoil pattern. run it with 100 rounds, tac laser, stubby barrel and no stock and its is a monster.
I have spent a couple hours trying to level this gun up and can't find one reason to continue. That reload speed is the kiss of death, and it takes forever to shoulder it. Campers will love it............
Good timing just trying to get this gun gold
Clayton Martin I just got it gold. The free battle pass variant with gold is beautiful
Those longshots are gonna piss you off
5:42 "bullet velocity" *goes to show recoil test*
Shhh... just another glitch in the Matrix, nothing to see here... :)
It also affects recoil, he just didn’t say it but it’s on screen
I had fun with friends by making this thing ads as slow as possible, it took what felt like 2 sec to ads, it was hilarious
Does the FSS elite still work in this way?
Have they fixed the FSS elite barrel yet?
This thing is so underrated
I know you said you are an aggressive player, but could you do a video about different strategies and roles in the game--and some strategies?
why do I love this gun??
I’ve been looking for an LMG that acts and is used like an LMG. This looks like the one!
If you have the blowtorch variant I honestly like that iron sight so I use the shortest barrel instead of a reflex
This is the new metaaassssaaaaaa
Has the fss elite barrel been fixed yet?
Love the gun guides!
Favorite gun in the game since launch
Hey @TheXclusiveAce , did they ever come round to fixing that barrel attachment? Keep up the amazing stuff dude
I was about to ask the same thing. Did you have any answer since that?
I thought the open-bolt delay was cosmetic only?
B N I think Ace said it was cosmetic only for the Uzi, but I guess the M91 and the MG34 have actual open-bolt lock-up delays. When I used the Uzi I felt like there was a lock-up delay but Ace said otherwise 🤷♂️
This gun seems perfectly suited for people who play the Tactical Waiting style.
Aka the no skill sit in a dark corner “this is my first call of duty” boomer play style.
Idk whether to use the mg or the finn, what do y’all think
Depends. If u want to play multiplayer, mg34 is better. If u want to play warzone, Finn is better. Finn can get kills at like 200 meters away. Mg34 can't do it. Too much recoil.
In multiplayer, unless ground war, you won't find that kind of range.
I prefer the MG34. I have quite a few wins with it in warzone, it shreds armor.
First LMG I got gold. Besides the painfully slow reload time I absolutely loved the grind of this gun. The new blowtorch blueprint has significantly better iron sights.
I tend to take up a strategic defensive position so an LMG suites me well, PKM is the best.
1440p? Nice! Keep up the great work! Greetings from germany!
I love the MG34 ... Just went 45-6 on rust with your setup.
Will you update the SA 87 vid now that it got some buffs?
Zero He’ll make note of it in a pinned comment for any updates for any weapon in the gun guide series.
Have they patched the elite barrel?
After getting my dismembering PKM gold so fast, I decided I might as well grind for my first Platinums and going to do the MG34 next. Luckily my one Blueprint for the gun gives it very clean iron sights
Honestly thinking about chopping one up and using it as a close range back up in warzone. Put it on my sweater class.
I like this gun for cyber attack and snd. You don't have to worry as much about reloading. Its a Lazer and it melts.
Class setup: Aggressive,7:36
Long Range, 8:34
Does stacking all of those ads attachments have a cutoff? Like, after two ads attachments does it stop benefiting you to use them? I've often wondered this for all weapons not just this one
Micah Sean i am literally binging his vids in the hope to find the answer to that
2:13 I just force myself 5o use the irons, therefore, I pretty good at using the gun with them, could be just because I use the stubby barrel which adds a little green dot on the irons
ADS everything! With a G.I. Scope
wish you could put the mg 42 barrel on it. that was what i was hoping you could do when i first got the game.
I like to run it with a 3x optic, sleight of hand, biggest belt avaliable, long barrel and a merc foregrip. Its very slow, but DAMN it is surely a buzzsaw.
