I have no joke been waiting for the swan queen video for this song since this song first came out. I mean the line "how can you expect me not to eat when the forbidden fruit tastes so sweet" is swan queen af. I've been waiting years for this video and omg it was so worth it.
I understand both sides of the Swan Queen discussion. Yes, they have a lot of chemistry, they are both great strong characters with opposite roles yet many things in common. They are quite poetic one lost herself and became a villain the other is finding herself and becoming a hero and along the way trying to raise a son! It's wonderful, but, well not everyone has to ship them because Regina tried to kill Emma even when she was a baby, she's the reason Emma grew up without a family, she killed Graham yet everyone seems to forget it, and did countless other terrible things. And its safe to say that the fact that they are women might be the main reason in many minds combined with the fact that both Emma and Regina are explicit heterossexual. I myself didn't understand Swan Queen shipping or new it existed until I found it online, but now I do and damn I even wrote 2 fanfics on the subject! ahah I love the power of interpretation and although I didn't mind Captain Swan while watching the show, its undeniable that these two ladies have way more chemistry than them. Captain Swan is just a ship made to attract the younger audiences, while Swan Queen is for a more mature audience. Maybe one day someone will pick this idea and create a fairytale Swan Queen book with a darker shade...
I would love if they happened. If it were HBO for example, it would have happened, haha. But also, I get your points. Regina did horrible things but back then, she was lost and it would have been the perfect enemies to lovers trope if they'd gone with it. Not a fan of CS but it was obviousy that they'd end up together, haha

I wishing for more tv shows showing more LGBTQ characters. I was hoping for Swan Queen to be more of a thing. They did not have the date just have them hug and kiss on the check. Star Trek Voyage for example people takes note when Captain Janeway and Seven of Nine because her captain has touched her thigh and gone after her to save her life. Lost Girl did more than fine with mythical creatures and bisexual leading character, and did not kill the couple off or change cast members.
