      Astralis had a bit of luck on their side imo. Taco missed magisk coming out of the gutter by a second, coldzera was planting the bomb in the open. But they showed great presence of mind to boost xyp9x up to get the kill on coldzera seeing that the time was low on the clock.

In my opinion, astralis is my favourite team but regardless I rarely watch their games due to finding them not “Boring” but one-sided if that makes any sense. I believe what people mean with “Boring CS” is in fact just “Too Dominant”

    I think one aspect that might be interesting to look into is the death of gla1ve in this round. While he didn't certainly want to die instantly, I don't think it was an accident either. He saw two players at the banana entrance and could fully concentrate on putting the mental image together and orchestrate the next actions. In a sense the information was worth more than being alive.

    Questions:
    Do you think MIBR should have known Astralis were on an eco round and played faster or more aggressively at first, knowing they had the gun advantage?
    At 1:11, do you think TACO should have traded and gone for the kill on dupreeh, eliminating the only 'capable' weapon Astralis had?
    What do you think would have happened if MIBR did rush A in this same scenario? Would Astralis' plan to use the deagle to get first contact still work?
    Keep up the videos man!

      But with this high level of cs with good communocation MIBR knows that astralis will play with usp or with light guns such as pistols so it's possible that they will like stack b or a site. And every ak or good gun that MIBR loses is heartbreking bc with the new meta and new money system loser team gets money much as loser team. Hope my english wasn't too bad.

    • @tah3460
      @tah3460 5 років тому +1

      That's very dangerous when you know the banana flank is so far away. Then you have a 2v2 on site and 1v1 on banana.
      If they push, then they have 3vs2 and CTs have to retake. So T's have both weapon and defense advantage.
      Bad plant / bad cover imo. Always be careful against eco's. What you don't have in firepower usually is made up for in risktaking. Pushing through smokes is common and they should've predicted as much.

      T AH exactly. and then when one T plants the bomb, the other one would have to cover CT and construction by himself. playing 3 B got them construction control but i'm surprised fallen didnt plant behind the fountain to get a bit more cover, even if he would have go down, maybe he would have had the time to plant

    I just don't understand why coldzera didn't plant next to coffins as it will get him cover from CT boost. I mean come on this is pro level CS. Even in my pugs in faceit we boost as fast as we can when a smoke lands CT. We have 1 boosted there each ECO round. We are talking a mili second that could have taken him to move to coffins. This is probably miss-communication. Maybe felps didn't hear Xyp9x going back from ruins that fast but never the less he couldn't have planted in a more open place. They also have 16 seconds on the clock when he clicks it so time wasn't an issue.

    • @travischin2956
      @travischin2956 5 років тому

      maybe they were worried about magisk firepower? cuz if magisk push fast enough, he might caught cold off guard and kill him, getting traded out by fallen, since ct is smoked, they probably thought that no danger will arrive from ct thinking that they wont use the boost.

    • @andrewb378
      @andrewb378 5 років тому

      He probably knew they only had USPs and given how passive Astralis tend to be, it would be unlikely they would boost up with no guns vs fully bought AKs and armor, especially since they had one coming from Banana. The spot he was planting at forces the gun on Astralis coming from Banana to peek wide to shoot at him so Fallen can shoot him before he takes out the planter. He would have been better off planting over on the other side of the site, as the corner of the building would have prevented the boost from spotting and killing him and the boxes and stuff there would prevent Banana from killing him. However, if he plants there and Astralis juts push the smoke, they can shoot him while Fallen can't see them at all. It's not nearly as cut and dry as you think, especially since you only have seconds to decide where to plant. In the heat of the moment, you know the gun is on banana, so you want to make sure he can't kill you and that's what he did.

    I personally think the biggest mistake was where MIBR chose to plant. For me, the best possible plant in this situation would be on the left side of the site (don't know how people call that in english, in Brazil we call it BTT) cuz it would be hiden from CT and it would be a good plant for coffins since they got that covered by felps. And i also think felps played too scared there, since he got the info of the boost he should be facing CT and not hinding waiting for the guy to push, he would've killed xyp instantly and they could comeback to the round with a 2v2 and 12 seconds remaining

    Hey Chris, I think you did a particularly good job on this vid. I've been watching your content for quite some time, and while the raw information is always on point, sometimes your narrative structure and editing can be a bit jumbled and confusing (the foibles of the demo viewer notwithstanding). This piece is very well thought out and put together in a way that it both conveys the story of the round and the tactics behind it, and is also easy to follow and digest. Nice work.
