I have a stem player and it has completely changed the way I view music. Now, Whenever I hear tracks I'm always thinking of potential mashups, remixes, alternate verses etc. I've never been more excited about music in my life. I post all my mixes to my youtube channel but I do have one issue: Donda 2. As soon as I heard it I was pumped to start making mashups and remixes. I ended up making a sick remix of true love by combining it with the beat from Frank Ocean's "Futura Free" and it's incredible. The only problem is UA-cam won't let me post it and blocks it since Donda 2 is exclusive to the stem player. So I'm debating starting a patreon and putting blocked mixes there for a couple dollars a month because this mashup is too good to not be shared.
I never got the stem players, but since its first generation and one day could be able to adjust certain sounds it could really make a new wave in the music industry. If Stem players can support lossless audio and offer some in depth sound controlling it could be a massive hit and eat up Spotify and Apple industry stakes. Then we will all be back here years from now thanking Kanye. Keep uploading gold baby road to 100K
Beautiful break down of the stem player! I think this was Kanye’s way of sticking it to the system. He knows not everyone is going to buy a $200 device. I think one day it will come on streaming but not sure when. Love the way you broke down numbers so cohesively with the background graphics. Great video!
I haven't bought a stem player and I think it's very unlikely that the album doesn't end up on streaming. The way I see it is that the stemplayer exclusivity is more or less a behind the scenes sneak peak, giving stemplayer owners a look into the album while it's still in development. Then eventually when it is finished it will be uploaded to streaming services
Very nice to get a more nuanced picture of this topic! I did not purchase a stem player, I do enjoy art of many types and believe that artists should and must get paid but I couldn't justify spending that amount of money for art at the moment. Tbh, I could imagine a scenario where Donda 2 will stay exclusive to the Stem.
I think if u focus the video title towards all artists instead of specifically ye it could blow up much more and reach a wider range of audience because its a great video and more people should see it; it wouldnt have to be clickbait either since the video talks about the entire industry, great job
Although I think the stem player is really cool I didn't get it because I frankly don't think I would use it too often. At least to me it would be spending $200 on a product I only use once in a while. I'm sure it would be great the first month but it would otherwise just be collecting dust. My close friend has one and he's had that exact experience. I think that Donda 2 willl evantually come to streaming services but I believe it will be in a while, at least a year or so. I don't see Ye doing it so close to the announcement of its exclusicity.
I fed into the headlines and peer pressure and bought a Stemplayer when DONDA2 dropped. I think that $200 is absolutely absurd but Kanye “can’t let his family starve” I guess. but it just seemed a major blow to the fans who actually want to hear the album. The player itself is nice and feels like more of a specialty toy than anything. Kanye is smart and I believe he knows damn well what he’s doing. That’s why I still support him.
Ye needs to just calm down. I know he’s trying to prove something, but some people really do just want to listen to the album easily from their preferred streaming service.
Stem player is too exspensive, I don't think I will ever buy it. But Donda 2 to will be on spotify or other streaming platforms for sure. People said it's really really easy to get files from stem player to pc and just put them anywhere on the web.

Woah amazing video, caught me off-guard when I saw the view count afterwards.

This will help future artists, stop being selfish
But.. that’s the point he is making. And that’s the point of this video… support the artist and their creation 100%.

Title needs a little work bro. Try "wants to boycott" or "is boycotting"
That's better man. Makes sense now 👌
