Don't eat junk continuously. Have some fresh juice, lassi and simple healthy food in-between. Like idli , dosa , appam, etc, without much gravies (minimal sambar or chutneys) so that there is less spice.

I see that you guys are up for the authentic chaotic experience in India rather than going for luxury 😅😅. Foreigners usually arent this daring in India. You could easily go to a good ambience restaurant. But you chose chaos over luxury 😂😂😂
The kachori guy asked you "Eat here or parcel". Because in Chennai and generally in India it is fast paced, they dont speak full sentences just very common English phrases in our own accent. You need to get used to it before being able to understand. He is being very helpful to you. Btw bro enjoying your videos. We miss our street foods having moved to US. Wow.... In Chennai we get very affordable breakfast...... Nice to see wadapav in Chennai..similar to Mumbai.....i think shopkeeper having Mumbai connection........love from Mumbai (India)
We don't really think into it, just do what everyone else does and never had an issue so far 🤞 I'm sure we've also drunk plenty of tap water while here, it's all a luck game
Appam is usually served with veg stew / mutton stew/ egg roast , serving with anything else is sacrilegious, moreover the actual appam as it is made traditionally in Kerala is fermented using toddy ( an mild alcoholic brew made from coconut sap) the taste and flavour of such appam is absolutely delightful. The appam served in Chennai can never be anywhere near to the original…it’s made with rice fermented using some chemicals…
Dear Ellis, I have a questions. You drunk tea in this episode and certified the best tea in the world. Like wise list best food or drink with it's country's name you experienced in your tour history as of now.
India looks full on - an attack of the senses! I just can’t get over how every street stall use their hands and never tongs or utensils. Watching the guy place the onions on the masala egg and it’s giving me the heebie jeebies 😊
India offers super delicious food and very cheap. But i feel disappointed to see foreigners bargaining for 10 rupees. But majority are generous and tipping.
I was having a laugh, he only took us like a third of the way and said wasn't going any further so really shouldn't have even given him that much! We aren't the type to throw money around, but 100 percent of our money always goes to small businesses only 🙏
@neerajsharma well what you feel about those people who jack up the price when they see foreigners? It is not a right thing to do. Indians live in many part of the world but they don’t jack up price for Indians anywhere so there is nothing wrong in foreigners bargaining in India to get a better deal just like anyone else unless the seller has a fixed price for everyone and firm on it and no one is gonna bargain for it.
@@EllisWRAs a chennai person I know what for the fair to auto 2km if you waited at bus stop share auto charge will be 20rs for a single person it will stopped at busstand to bus stand only 。but if you go inside the road or Street means for 2km it will cost atleast 60rs but you are bargaining with that driver 50 in to 40 but he took that cost genuinely cause he think you are the guest to chennai. If I bargain like you means to that auto driver surely he kick my ass.. if you come next to chennai means just book ola,Uber or rapido that will show what the cost
Appam, dosa, idli, Vada.. all these goes best along with coconut chutney.. i prefer it just with coconut chutney 😁.. and that vadapav u had, in Mumbai u will find a shop in every 50 metres, and always ask for extra chutney.. u get it cheaper in Mumbai it starts with 10 INR and some sell it even for 30-40 INR.. i had it even for 6 INR at Bhiwandi. And that pumpkin sweet that u had, it's called 'doodhi ka halwa' and similar u get carrot sweet which is called 'gajar ka halwa'
Please try vegetarian thali meals for Lunch is the best option. It will be a verity of dishes in a single plate. Also visit Marina beach the second longest beach in the world.
A couple of Food Heroes in the midst of chaos 😂 I'm guessing it was garam masala spice mix on top of your soup. Eating all day like that would give anyone a dodgy stomach. Take it easy E&A 😊
Haha .. u get used to the chaos. I lived in the US for 25 years .. then in Paris for 6 month. Now in Chennai for past 2 years … whenever I go back to USA or anywhere in Europe for a holiday, It feels so quiet and dead … I can’t wait to return to India !
If you are still in Chennai just a suggestion please visit Chidambaram or Annamalai temple from Chennai these precious milestone temples can be travelled on the way and will be more memorable to you both❤ (you came far away to here, these places Chidambaram (world oldest Golden temple where natyam is born and also it is built representing sky Tamilnadu is the only place on earth where you will find natarajar temple or visit Annamalai temple can be connected through Chennai which will be truly memorable) wish you a happy journey from Tamilnadu❤ by the way pls visit mahabalipuram too if time persist🎉❤
It is very important to keep your self safe health wise.please be careful where you eat. There are some very clean restaurants in Chennai ...we dont want you to tolerate the issues you have health wise and tell only the nice things about India. Some of the best vegetarian restaurants around my place are 1) ID 2) Manoj bhavan... Just meaning good.
@@EllisWRDon't worry . Food safety Officers will be on the move everywhere. So they can't sell anything just like that. If they do they will be behind the bars atleast for a year with more than a lakh rupee fine.
India should learn from the western countries how to keep their city and surroundings clean. I felt ashamed when you commented that this is probably the dirtiest place. It is a pity that even after Prime Minister gave 'Swach Bharat' slogan to keep places clean, the Govt. of Chennai seems not to heed and done nothing. Very bad.
Chennai is very dirty but I have to say Pakistan was the dirtiest place on earth ahah. I hope people in India start to try make things cleaner in future 🙏

We don't really think into it, just do what everyone else does and never had an issue so far 🤞 I'm sure we've also drunk plenty of tap water while here, it's all a luck game
@@EllisWR you guys already in pakistan? I'm expecting the people to be amazing, one of the best countries for hospitality!
@@88Heartandsoul In 3 or 4 weeks ish! We're also hoping it will be great!!
Ask us a more specific question!! We've had too much good food and drink!
Our favourite cuisines are Thai, Vietnamese and Malaysian!
@@EllisWR This answer is enough 🙂. Thank you for answering. Please focus on your health and Don't choose unhealthy street food like in Pakistan.
@@baluj5240 Pakistani food is super unhygienic and made us ill many times. No other country has made us ill aha

India looks full on - an attack of the senses!
I just can’t get over how every street stall use their hands and never tongs or utensils. Watching the guy place the onions on the masala egg and it’s giving me the heebie jeebies 😊
Yeah it's definitely full on alright can't pretend it's heaven!! We're just eating everything and pretending we have no idea 🤞
Its totally free bud u can ask for sambar for 2 idle for 10 times!!thats a key business for Indians❤

For chennai food 👍
Great food
That somasas crunchy sound triggers me 😂
Sorrrrry
India offers super delicious food and very cheap. But i feel disappointed to see foreigners bargaining for 10 rupees.
But majority are generous and tipping.
I was having a laugh, he only took us like a third of the way and said wasn't going any further so really shouldn't have even given him that much! We aren't the type to throw money around, but 100 percent of our money always goes to small businesses only 🙏
@@EllisWR😂
@neerajsharma well what you feel about those people who jack up the price when they see foreigners? It is not a right thing to do. Indians live in many part of the world but they don’t jack up price for Indians anywhere so there is nothing wrong in foreigners bargaining in India to get a better deal just like anyone else unless the seller has a fixed price for everyone and firm on it and no one is gonna bargain for it.
@EllisWR it is good to bargain sometimes.
Enga paathalum vadakkans😮
What my friend?!
@@EllisWR he is saying north indians are everywhere
hey guys, ahmad frm derby.
ur interuction with locals r fantastic, weldone....
Cheers!!!
Guys i guess you should have more place to explore in chennai itself... its not exact chennai you are in.. Its North chennai... Please move to south
We like it here it's a normal area
U should visit ladakh Leh, kashmir, Shimla, Manali, Rishikesh, udaipur, jodhpur, pushkar, Jaisalmer, Goa, Kerala, Bangalore, hampi, meghalaya, Darjeeling, Sikkim, Andaman and Nicobar islands in India 🇮🇳❤️
So many places to visit!!
Always welcome to Tamilnadu❤ VANNAKAM
Indian foods are cheap and super tasty. Only thing is you need to check whether the street foods are hygienic or not before eating it
We haven't had a single problem once in India! Honestly
Thanks for coming our country
Please try vegetarian thali meals for Lunch is the best option. It will be a verity of dishes in a single plate. Also visit Marina beach the second longest beach in the world.
Yes stay tuned for Madurai vlog
Looks yummy but so busy 😮
Too busy
Last min man was nice and sweet guy
I am wondering how you tolerate our spice levels, great guys
I don't find anything in India to be spicy! We're used to extreme spice in Thailand!!
Wow you replied man@@EllisWR
btw, the guy commenting on your eyes was probably commenting on your good reflexes. Maybe he meant to say 'good eyes' instead of 'nice eyes'.
Ohhh good observation
A couple of Food Heroes in the midst of chaos 😂
I'm guessing it was garam masala spice mix on top of your soup. Eating all day like that would give anyone a dodgy stomach. Take it easy E&A 😊
Absolute chaos Carol. An experience I guess! Thanks for that your probably right! We're still going strong 10 days in wish us health 🤞

Haha .. u get used to the chaos. I lived in the US for 25 years .. then in Paris for 6 month. Now in Chennai for past 2 years … whenever I go back to USA or anywhere in Europe for a holiday, It feels so quiet and dead … I can’t wait to return to India !
Ahah I like India very much. Not Chennai tho

The fried bread is called Poori made with whole wheat flour
Delicious
Visit Marina Beach in chennai & try seafoods....
We went and made a video but I wasn't in the mood sadly! Might release anyway will see!
Which is the best food you ever tried in Chennai
Very hard question we've only eaten a few things. The appam place we went to was my favourite breakfast spot
Thanks my friend. Don't worry we are used to eating in these places, hopefully will be fine 🙏
@@EllisWRDon't worry . Food safety Officers will be on the move everywhere. So they can't sell anything just like that. If they do they will be behind the bars atleast for a year with more than a lakh rupee fine.

Loved this video, hurry up Alicia lol
Ahaha cheers for tuning in
India should learn from the western countries how to keep their city and surroundings clean.
Street means in Tamil as theru
Water means in Tamil as Thanneer.
Food means in tamil as unavu
