Im using an old H-TAP CRIMP TOOL, but I'm not sure of the brand. Check this out, and maybe find a cheaper one "H-Tap Wire Mechanical Crimper Tool For WR Series - MORRIS-50085"
@@Electrical_Realm Live service work is scary my man. Your jurisdiction (power company) allowed this? They won't even let most ppl in the meter can. I see the 1kv gloves on so good call.
@TheTubejunky ahah yes "the service company" does not hook up the house for you! I am licensed and insured in the state that i live in to do service work! And also always get your work inspected by an electrical inspector!
@@Electrical_RealmI'm in Pennsylvania and all areas covered by First Energy, we're no longer required to have them come connect/disconnect. They allow electricians to do that so long as it's been inspected first. We merely have to get a D&R number first by calling them. The other thong we are required to do is either use the plastic gel filled insulator covers or we have to put insulating cushion tape on our connections before using electrical tape for the final wrap. Regular electricians tape is too thin and can be damaged by hard corners points, that's why the cushion tape.
you can crimp connectors if its hot but be very careful , cover neutral and other hot phase so you dont make contact , else it will go boom ...
I like to squeeze with channeloks or gas pliers so doesnt move as much before crimp
Nice work bro.!
