We caught them in Lowell Summer Music Series (MA) 2019... forced inside due T-storms into the Lowell HS auditorium. Opening act was great bunch of musicians from Berkeley. The Revivalists brought down the house. Played so well together.
At 74 I ran across this group on Austin City Limits. They really do stir something inside and whomever mentioned a Van Morrison feel, is correct. What a great band.

I wanted to hear more of them - a lot more - especially some live tracks, mostly as a challenge to confirm that they weren’t a one-hit wonder. I bought “City of Sound”. Revivalists were all “Challenge Accepted.” Heard “Soulfight” and it stopped me in my tracks. Didn’t think it could get any better. Revivalists were all “Wait.” Then I bought “Men Amongst Mountains”. Heard “It Was a Sin”. And it took me to so many places emotionally that I hadn’t been in years. Revivalists were all “Game. Set. Match. [mic drop]”

Same here - I have seen so many legends play live, and these guys jumped right to my top 10 live shows as well. I saw them at the iconic Stone Pony - Asbury Park, NJ. this past summer (so it was a double treat - being from LA I have always wanted to see a great show @ the Stone Pony). Now living on the East Coast, my opportunity came. My husband and I drove an hour and a half each way to see them - ABSOLUTELY worth it!!
