I still dislike the concept of drafting a superstar in the respective brand, then months later showing up in the opposite brand.
For people asking why do the draft now rather than waiting - partially it's because the draft gets more rating but, logically, Wrestlemania is the end of season, so you draft a few weeks later. You don't run a draft 6 months in. I liked that they used the early picks to elevate people - gives those people instant legitimacy.
I think after this draft they shouldn't do one for like 2yrs but between that time shows can trade
Honestly, the draft should just be a WWE network special.
If you're not going to make big changes, then don't do it. The Draft lost itself after the first two years.
If everyone switches brands then nothing changes but the names of the shows.
I was pretty excited for the wwe draft. I think I the first night killed my excitement with the lack of changes.

So Carmelo fighting Cody is fine but everyone shit on Swerve for wrestling Nick Carter.
tribalism. sucks. I love both companies but aew is on a downfall right now and I feel WWE is following suit knowing nothing really happened at the draft
Carmelo explained he wanted Cody. There was a quick story behind it. It was a guy that could be future of company bs the top guy the champ. Very different. Nick carter ain’t gonna be no fuckin face of aew. Also it was the mainevent and on opening segment. Priority. Which aew didn’t show any priority to their new world champion.

I don’t count Shemus or Andrade as “changes”, because Shemus returned in raw and Andrade has been on smackdown recently, and has had more memorable moments on smackdown than raw. I found bron as a call up since he was barely on smackdown when he was “called up”. Nia Jax is the only star that changed brands, and I am extremely disappointed with how this draft ended up even though the production of it was great.
And Bron spent more time on Nxt WHILE being on smackdown that i couldn't Even remember which brand he was in lol

The draft should be a WWE social media show/event it should not be split segments on weekly tv .
I think it’s dumb to do draft right before PLE should done it the Monday and Friday after backlash. That way you can switch AJ styles when he loses this way the you can say AJ you lost you to Cody and LA last two PLE so your being kicked off smackdown.

Nia Jax to Smackdown
Andrade to Smackdown
Bron Breakker to Raw
Kiana James to Raw
Not including Carmelo in this. Dude was basically already on Smackdown.

I was shocked when bron breaker was drafted to raw

First time I’ve seen one of your videos, and I really enjoyed it! Totally agree on the NXT Women’s Division, they are incredible. Even the ones you can tell are beginners have such potential.
I think the WWE Draft should only be for wrestlers getting moved around... if someone is going to stay on the same brand, then they shouldn't be announced at all or at least just use it for the 1st picks of the 1st round.
Nia Jax to the Bloodline
To tell ya the truth. The draft was good with the complexity of Nia Jax getting drafted to Smackdown and Carmella Hayes and Bron drafted to Raw. It was about time for Nia to go to another brand for what it’s worth
I think they should make draft everyone to the opposite show. That way it's all the same but different colors

HHH made some strange moves, but it was too elevate people. Ricochet going high, is a nod to him. Same with Jey. Hopefully we get some movement in the women's division from Smackdown to Raw Becky needs some more solid competition. Liv and her are it. Unless they are actually about to move Shayna up to main event singles. Or Charlotte is coming back and joining Raw. LOL

I would prefer if they went back to the each brand drafts 5 people scheme. Cause then it makes the switches seem more serious in my mind. Instead you dull the process down with a bunch of people staying in the same spot. I would do 5 people get draft to Raw, smackdown each and trades as also possible on that night

NXT should be more prominent in the draft tbh then you switch a few pieces around to spruce up a division that may have been weak the prior year.
People still give Nia Jax crap based off of how they feel but there is a reason why she was signed to the womens division.
Sorry Piper Niven. Kiana James & Chelsea Green would be an awesome tag team. Remind me of the Iiiconics. Besides I think Piper would be a great single competitor wherever she lands.
I thought NXT was supposed to be drafting as well? I guess in retrospect all they said was that they would "be part of the draft" so I guess they just meant the NXT folks would be draftable... but they really should have gotten draft picks as well. Make them feel like a legit third brand as they go onto CW.
Also, I like having Carmelo come out and challenge Cody right off the bat, but having him lose immediately in what was a pretty lackluster match from two guys who can do way better was a pretty big whiff. They either needed a longer match where Cody got pushed to the limit, or just have it end in DQ due to AJ interference to keep Carmelo from taking a pin right after being their first round pick. Silly booking.
Lots wrong with this draft episode, honestly. Kinda surprised how many missteps it took, based on how good everything else has been lately.

Was absolutely dog crap, tell me why guys like Gable, Ricochet and A.J couldn't switch brands? Could've hinted to *SOME* intrigue with A.J and up the stakes. "Could he dethrone Cody and take the championship to RAW?" (obviously not) but still something fun there.
Ricochet is engaged with Samantha Irvin they are not splitting up couples. Same with Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.
@@harinderrana9735 Couldn't bring Samantha to Smackdown then or actually put wrestlers available for trade? Why waste picks on people you know are already staying for that reason.
