If they did any YSL gown in denim it would def fit the American Independence theme of the Gala. Or even just the straightforward use of red/white/blue colors would have been significantly better than the forgettable outfit they made her wear. There's no rules in this gala so I was thinking they could've gone overboard and got more photos and exposure, for better or worse

Do I like Rosé's look? Yes. But do I think the stylist could've done a better job? Also yes. For me, her look wasn't disappointing, but it didn't meet my expectation. Though Rosé pulled off the outfit, makeup and hairstyle all together, it was lacking Met Gala elements. Since it was the Met Gala, I expected her to go for something extravagant, but this was really simple. She looked like she is attending the Red Carpet event of a music awards show.

I really liked Yeji's outfit I was similar to the concept the were going for "craziness" I like the way the dressed hugged her and showed her awsome body figure as well as her height......just CHEF'S KISS.....Girl pulled it off....

I loved Giselle's outfit. Karina should have had on the side skirt Givenchy has. Granted it would have been like a year outdated. But it would have been perfect. The plain skirt with the harsh color of those leggings. A hot mess.
Some of the outfits featured in here weren't bad looking at all. People were just so used to the common styling of girl groups that they couldn't find the experimental styles beautiful anymore. I mean; Yeji, Giselle, Karina, and Yoon's outfits are all great loooking. Idk how those were deemed a mess.

I also don't like Rosé's met gala outfit. It was nice and suit Rosé but in my opinion it was way too basic for such an event. The necklace was my favourite part. They could've done better with the makeup and dress though.

Yall must realise that neither rosé or the stylist decides what she's going to wear at the met gala. There's this woman whose name I forgot but she is a very well known designer and manages the met gala. She decides which celebrity is wearing what clothing brand and she decides if she let's this celebrity wear what they want to wear. Basically she gives the official okay to an outfit and if she says no than it's a no. Rosé or the stylist are both extremely limited to what they make rosé wear. It's not any of they're fault. Even at the make up look they are really limited to what they or rose actually want. I love Yoon so much but her colored bangs is just so painful to watch. Her colorful highlights wouldn't look that bad if they didn't highlight her bangs as well. Well to be fair, Rosé at least matched the “let’s ignore the theme, theme.” Met galas are mostly disappointing, but this year really took the cake. Barely saw a good on theme outfit. It was a mess.

For the Met Gala I want to believe that was the inspiration they were going for. 'The little black dress' is apart of American Fashion, has been for many years. The white bow on Rosé's dress brought in ornate and opulence, her jewelry tied it all together. So coming from someone who has seen American Fashion throughout her years Rosé NAILED it. *not everyone knows old Hollywood glamour and old Hollywood movie Classics. Plus she looked happy and loved it. She felt beautiful and she glowed. She looked stunning with her smile.

Itzy’s Lia gets it too, or at least did. The dresses in Wannabe and Icy looked horrible, even if they were going for that high fashion model crap. They fit her like a sweater on a snake; they just don’t. Even the plaid outfit in Lock looked horrible, but because of the fact she was the only one in the plaid and it didn’t even match the other outfits. The only outfit I liked from hers in most the music video (not counting the pink ones) was the red sweater one, because it actually fit her body right.

You can't just look past all the stunning gowns and suites that we got in the past. A good example is the 2016 met, was filled with iconic looks from Ariana Grande, Gigi Hadid and Blake Lively.

ABOUT ROSÈ: As a fashion enthusiast,people need to stop defending Rose’s Met Gala outfit because it’s a “Little black dress”,this is the demonstration that people will learn one thing/word and throw anytime,especially to defend their favourites. First of all,it’s about fashion BEFORE the liberation. Second of all,even if it was supposed to be a little black dress, I was incredibly mad at her hair and maybe makeup too: Actually I was mad at almost all the hairstyles of all the attendants because they were almost all lazy or non creative but hers were literally the worst. She literally wore the same exact hairstyle she wears every single day! I honestly doubt that she even had a hairstylist at all. The makeup at least was something but it could have been better. ABOUT AESPA: Specifically about the magazine outfits and also a throwback at their award show outfit that caused disappointment too months ago. They are GIVENCHY’s brand ambassador. It seems that most people don’t know it but they are and they have been since not over 3 months after their debut. So they have been most probably proposed by the brand this opportunity and obviously the management accepted right away considering how big GIVENCHY is,a literal French high fashion brand with a lot of history that probably wanted their “Blackpink” too. The problem is that the brand has been putting only literal trashy clothes,accessories and shoes for a few years now. And among all the brand that had the most unfortunate transformation compared to the original, I believe that it may be the biggest and worst one. There are many stylists who don’t understand the assignment(Maris Grazia Chiuri for Dior) others who change a bit too much but at least they did something unique in their own way that has very little correlations to the original (Oliver Rusteig for Balmain) and others who literally instead of doing it they make something completely unrelated like writing an essay about bunnies instead or aereo dynamic (recent GIVENCHY). There is absolutely almost NOTHING in their last 4 collections that looks good,let alone styling for 4 people! I actually feel pain for their stylist because they don’t deserve such criticism and are probably doing their best. It’s not like in the other cases where the stylist could have picked up something different or better. For example recent DIOR is very disappointing but you still can some few “acceptable” things out of there,one of the very few was the dress that Jisoo wore the other day. For now they are stuck at least for another 1 year,then I hope that the contract isn’t any longer and that the company won’t renovate it knowing that there are probably many other big brands who would want to style them. Balmain by Oliver Rusteig would be a perfect fit for their concept and they can truly find a good variety in there!

Obviously this is not always the case but it happens too often. -A fun common misconception about Chanel is that Coco didn’t only create the brand but also gave it its breakthrough when in reality Karl gave the brand the massive recognition and when he was chosen to be the stylist of that brand,the community used to say that he can’t rebirth the already dead and have a massive success. Coco created the iconic “basics” (tweed suit,purse…) and Karl developed. Anyway,if you look at YSL when the stylist was still alive or Christian Dior when he and YSL(because he took over that brand after CD’s death) and you see the most recent YSL and Dior shows you’ll immediately understand what I mean when I say that they live because of the history. Same with Tom Ford’s Gucci era being the most iconic of the brand and being the one holding modern Gucci alive(alternative or not,street style or not,the looks are truly bad nowadays). Look at Balenciaga (the most shocking transformation) and Balmain (I lowkey like it but Oliver Rusteig should have just made up his own brand at this point,too different from the origins,for respect of Pierre it would be better not,he’s still way more respectful than many other stylists like the one for Balenciaga though😭). Look at Celine too,it’s also getting worse lately. Without their influence and contributions to fashion in past, they wouldn’t be that important at all. But since they are,they kind of have the funds etc. other deep economic systems in the HF world that are too complex for me to explain as I am not even an actual English speaker. But for example,one brand doesn’t sell,they burn their original runway clothes and they get “recompensed” (just some brands do that,they still could get the funds by deconstructing the clothing and reusing it or whatever, it’s not a must though,some of the biggest brands keep many things but I sincerely hope that Celine doesn’t😁). Anyway,logos are also very persuasive,even to me. I know how money works though and I wouldn’t buy many things that I would throw away even if I were as rich as Jeff Bezos. I enjoy the elegant glamorous look,most of my peers buy 100€ third pair of Nike , I buy a golden purse that looks 100€+ even though it is 40€ (and high quality thankfully). I pay for that I look up to only. This is not to say that my style is better than theirs , but to explain that people would pay for many trends and items that are totally overpriced,unnecessary and all of that because they enjoy being close to a certain brand and aesthetic (former) but making it all just a bit more “relatable”. That’s why a few years ago people were obsessed with HF logos:In particular with Gucci,Chanel and more,and faked it in all types of clothing,accessories and shoes. Indeed most of them regret it because it wasn’t worth the money over half the time. But people are still looking at the newest creations for “tacky” and overpriced clothing pieces. (Not always tacky but often). -Of course, it’s also about the material and time used in the creation. I mean,that’s it. In the opinion of every single fashion enthusiast,some of those stylists 100% don’t deserve to be on their spot,no matter how many years they have done with the brand as an intern or studying it’s history;if you hype the entire fashion industry for a runway show in a HUGE historic site in Greece just to give us 50+ clothing pieces of which less than 10 were decent and the rest isn’t even qualificabile as street style” but literally “street trash🥳” like how Maria Grazia Chiuri did with DIOR,than you don’t deserve your spot. What a waste of money and time literally. The original CD made history in Avery small runway showing only the necessary clothing pieces and she has the privilege to have a team to work with. According to me, rosè's met look wasn't bad...but it wasn't great either. For such an important occasion as the met, she was slightly under dressed . she was amazing visuals, but the stylist in my opinion could have done a better job in potraying them.

I feel like nothing is wrong with rośe outfit at the met gala. Sure it might be simple for the met gala and reused but still it fitted her amazing! And I personally like the eyeliner a lot. It made her look fierce yet elegant. Also the hairstyle was great too in my opinion. Simple yet chic.

For Yeji i actually dont think she looks bad at the outfit i actually love her look now to Aisha yes the outfit she was wearing was weird and not something i would wear but somehow her visuals made the outfit look good on her and specially because of her hairstyle and for Rosè she dosent look bad but i feel like they should of gave her a more natural make up since for me it suits her more to have more of a natural make up and the dress is not bad and they should of just put her hair in a bun and gave and once again gave her a more natural make up.

Yall must realise that neither rosé or the stylist decides what she's going to wear at the met gala. There's this woman whose name I forgot but she is a very well known designer and manages the met gala. She decides which celebrity is wearing what clothing brand and she decides if she let's this celebrity wear what they want to wear. Basically she gives the official okay to an outfit and if she says no than it's a no. Rosé or the stylist are both extremely limited to what they make rosé wear. It's not any of they're fault. Even at the make up look they are really limited to what they or rose actually want.
Please dont throw any hate towards rosé or her stylist cause it's not they're fault If you were underwhelmed by the outfit.
I think the styler of Rosé should know that Rosé is not going in a fashion show she was going in Met Gala.

The trend Audrey Hepburn started was the 'little black'. It became a staple in every woman's wardrobe. The little black dress was timeless, classic, and elegant. For the Met Gala I want to believe that was the inspiration they were going for. 'The little black dress' is apart of American Fashion, has been for many years. The white bow on Rosé's dress brought in ornate and opulence, her jewelry tied it all together. So coming from someone who has seen American Fashion throughout her years Rosé NAILED it.

Itzy’s Lia gets it too, or at least did. The dresses in Wannabe and Icy looked horrible, even if they were going for that high fashion model crap. They fit her like a sweater on a snake; they just don’t. Even the plaid outfit in Lock looked horrible, but because of the fact she was the only one in the plaid and it didn’t even match the other outfits. The only outfit I liked from hers in most the music video (not counting the pink ones) was the red sweater one, because it actually fit her body right.

You can't just look past all the stunning gowns and suites that we got in the past. A good example is the 2016 met, was filled with iconic looks from Ariana Grande, Gigi Hadid and Blake Lively.

As a fashion enthusiast,people need to stop defending Rose’s Met Gala outfit because it’s a “Little black dress”,this is the demonstration that people will learn one thing/word and throw anytime,especially to defend their favourites.
First of all,it’s about fashion BEFORE the liberation.
Second of all,even if it was supposed to be a little black dress, I was incredibly mad at her hair and maybe makeup too: Actually I was mad at almost all the hairstyles of all the attendants because they were almost all lazy or non creative but hers were literally the worst. She literally wore the same exact hairstyle she wears every single day! I honestly doubt that she even had a hairstylist at all. The makeup at least was something but it could have been better.

Specifically about the magazine outfits and also a throwback at their award show outfit that caused disappointment too months ago.
They are GIVENCHY’s brand ambassador. It seems that most people don’t know it but they are and they have been since not over 3 months after their debut. So they have been most probably proposed by the brand this opportunity and obviously the management accepted right away considering how big GIVENCHY is,a literal French high fashion brand with a lot of history that probably wanted their “Blackpink” too.
The problem is that the brand has been putting only literal trashy clothes,accessories and shoes for a few years now. And among all the brand that had the most unfortunate transformation compared to the original, I believe that it may be the biggest and worst one. There are many stylists who don’t understand the assignment(Maris Grazia Chiuri for Dior) others who change a bit too much but at least they did something unique in their own way that has very little correlations to the original (Oliver Rusteig for Balmain) and others who literally instead of doing it they make something completely unrelated like writing an essay about bunnies instead or aereo dynamic (recent GIVENCHY).
There is absolutely almost NOTHING in their last 4 collections that looks good,let alone styling for 4 people! I actually feel pain for their stylist because they don’t deserve such criticism and are probably doing their best. It’s not like in the other cases where the stylist could have picked up something different or better. For example recent DIOR is very disappointing but you still can some few “acceptable” things out of there,one of the very few was the dress that Jisoo wore the other day.
For now they are stuck at least for another 1 year,then I hope that the contract isn’t any longer and that the company won’t renovate it knowing that there are probably many other big brands who would want to style them. Balmain by Oliver Rusteig would be a perfect fit for their concept and they can truly find a good variety in there!
I know nothing about fashion or high end brands but I still got it that it wasn’t stylist fault . But that big named brand is making such dresses. Do people really buy this stuff?

Most high fashion brands nowadays live by the iconic creations of the past stylists ,especially those who created the brand.
Obviously this is not always the case but it happens too often.
-A fun common misconception about Chanel is that Coco didn’t only create the brand but also gave it its breakthrough when in reality Karl gave the brand the massive recognition and when he was chosen to be the stylist of that brand,the community used to say that he can’t rebirth the already dead and have a massive success. Coco created the iconic “basics” (tweed suit,purse…) and Karl developed.
Anyway,if you look at YSL when the stylist was still alive or Christian Dior when he and YSL(because he took over that brand after CD’s death) and you see the most recent YSL and Dior shows you’ll immediately understand what I mean when I say that they live because of the history. Same with Tom Ford’s Gucci era being the most iconic of the brand and being the one holding modern Gucci alive(alternative or not,street style or not,the looks are truly bad nowadays). Look at Balenciaga (the most shocking transformation) and Balmain (I lowkey like it but Oliver Rusteig should have just made up his own brand at this point,too different from the origins,for respect of Pierre it would be better not,he’s still way more respectful than many other stylists like the one for Balenciaga though😭). Look at Celine too,it’s also getting worse lately.
Without their influence and contributions to fashion in past, they wouldn’t be that important at all. But since they are,they kind of have the funds etc. other deep economic systems in the HF world that are too complex for me to explain as I am not even an actual English speaker. But for example,one brand doesn’t sell,they burn their original runway clothes and they get “recompensed” (just some brands do that,they still could get the funds by deconstructing the clothing and reusing it or whatever, it’s not a must though,some of the biggest brands keep many things but I sincerely hope that Celine doesn’t😁).
Anyway,logos are also very persuasive,even to me. I know how money works though and I wouldn’t buy many things that I would throw away even if I were as rich as Jeff Bezos. I enjoy the elegant glamorous look,most of my peers buy 100€ third pair of Nike , I buy a golden purse that looks 100€+ even though it is 40€ (and high quality thankfully). I pay for that I look up to only. This is not to say that my style is better than theirs , but to explain that people would pay for many trends and items that are totally overpriced,unnecessary and all of that because they enjoy being close to a certain brand and aesthetic (former) but making it all just a bit more “relatable”.
That’s why a few years ago people were obsessed with HF logos:In particular with Gucci,Chanel and more,and faked it in all types of clothing,accessories and shoes. Indeed most of them regret it because it wasn’t worth the money over half the time.
But people are still looking at the newest creations for “tacky” and overpriced clothing pieces. (Not always tacky but often). -Of course, it’s also about the material and time used in the creation.
I mean,that’s it. In the opinion of every single fashion enthusiast,some of those stylists 100% don’t deserve to be on their spot,no matter how many years they have done with the brand as an intern or studying it’s history;if you hype the entire fashion industry for a runway show in a HUGE historic site in Greece just to give us 50+ clothing pieces of which less than 10 were decent and the rest isn’t even qualificabile as street style” but literally “street trash🥳” like how Maria Grazia Chiuri did with DIOR,than you don’t deserve your spot. What a waste of money and time literally.
The original CD made history in Avery small runway showing only the necessary clothing pieces and she has the privilege to have a team to work with.
The event planners (or whoever choses the locations and decorations) are the real icons of these days.
