May Pole Dance (the weave) May 23, 2022 Kaslo BC

The MayPole Dance has been a tradition since in Kaslo, BC since 1923. When I was a child it was usually the elementary students that did this dance with Mrs. Bildstien at the piano . Mrs Ringheim and Mrs Bildstien worked endless hours with the students. The girls were dressed in cute little dresses and the boys were dressed up as well.
This year they weren’t sure if they could have them because of the Covid restrictions. The older students stepped up to the plate and learned the dance. We are blessed.
