Yup they were not hard to get variant or anything they were just the A covers that all Spawn fans would buy to read etc. Its super cool they have value now because they are really cool comics.

Grabbing books you like is the best way to dig a $1 bin. But while your having fun doing that, if you can grab a few issues you can throw on ebay that pays for everything you keep then that is even better (Means you can grab way more comics each time too)

That is exactly how I collect, I rather dig through a dollar bin and find something of value then just go out and buy a graded version for full price. That hunt is much more fun then just owning haha I want to dig the gems out of the hill side and pan for gold in the river, I don't want to go to the jewelry store and max out my credit card. Haha, its best to just have this a little bit back in your head so when your digging a dollar bin you might recognize a cover and go oh I think that is from this video. If you heavily memorize and go looking for these issues specifically it wont work as well.
Coyote 12 is, chronologically in the real world, Todd’s first work. He only did a small part but ended up being hired to redo issue 11 before it went to print. He mentioned it himself during a Comic Tom interview so I always go for issue 12, knowing it’s the real deal!! And so cheap!
I do not, I kinda like making videos on comics that you can find if you go out hunting more then comics that are hard to find and cost a lot of money. That being said I definitely want to do more videos highlighting some sweet key issues
I used to buy Marvel age when they came out, this was the only way to keep up with things (no internet then!) I usually wouldn't bag them at all, just pile them up. The only one I kept in solid shape was the She Hulk cover.
that spawn 243 I believe is the lowest print run @ under 12,000 copies. not including the special comic con variants that are 666 copies or lower. If I read correctly

I was doing them weekly for about 5-6 weeks when I put it out so there are more on the channel. The rest of the videos fizzled out though so I had to stop doing them. It takes me 20-30 hours to make one so its hard to sustain making them if they dont get watched.

The point is to look for all the comics of value its like the birthday paradox. If you are looking for one specific comic the chances of finding it is slim, if you look for all the comics of value the chances of finding something is really high. You dont need to find the spawn comics (I have many times myself) you just need to find something you can sell or trade to get the comics you want.
Hrm if they are full of these books then yes you would be rich haha. But the real idea is to have a long list of stuff to look for so you can buy the opportunity not the specific want.

Here's my thing.... I READ comics... I don't buy them to profit from it. I have literally hundreds of comics that are highly priced and sought after but I ain't selling them and I don't lock them in a polybag never to see the world again, I'll read em and re read em till the cover falls off.... Then I continue to read them. I've never purchased a book for profit and the ppl who do are responsible for the industry bombing in the late 90's early 2000's . If you see a book BUY it coz U wanna read the story inside , NOT because you think it'll be a good way to put lil Janey through college ✌️ Comics are f'kin awesome, just look inside
I love comics as well, but could not afford nearly as many as I want to own, so it is nice to sometimes pull something out for a dollar sell it for $20 and keep the other 20 comics that I bought because I love the writers, artist, covers and characters. Would be nice to be rich enough to just to buy all the comics I want without worrying about the cost. Awesome luxury you have there, I am a tad jealous.

I've been collecting comics since I was 5 and I'm now 41 , everything I bought at cover value the day of release or for very little spare change at second hand bookshops and yard sales . I've NEVER purchased a book with a high price tag and I budget wisely and choose wisely (no marvel, no DC... they know what they've done......) 2000ad is my jam but it seems to go over the heads over most Americans . Dynamite and Boom do good stuff, Zenescope too . Looking forward to Conan on Titan press comics. And I read em till the cover falls off ....like it was meant to be. Lol 😂 whatever gave U the impression I'm rich??? That's hysterical, I'm broke as Al Bundy 🤣
2000Ad is pretty darn cool, great artwork. Personally I don't think its wrong for someone to pull a comic of value out of a dollar bin and then sell it so they can buy more comics from the dollar bin. I personally want way more comics then my meger income could afford on its own so I sell comics I buy so I can afford a lot more for the collection. Nothing wrong with that either :)
If you are looking for just that one issue it would be very hard to find in a dollar bin, but if you look for all the comics of value there is a high chance you will find something. Someone out there will find those Spawns on dollar bins, I am sure of it.
whatever happened to buying comics because they were good? people wanting to buy a comic just because it's the first appearance of some character in a movie is so lame
Or maybe if you have a limited budget you can occasionally find a comic with value sell it on ebay and pay for all the other ones you grabbed out of the dollar bin. Nothing wrong with having a little knowledge of what has value so when your digging for the cool art and stories you want, you might grab something else you can sell to keep the rest. But also if you love a character from movies, tvs, animation etc. Nothing wrong with wanting the first appearance of the character in a comic as a memento of that love of that character. I will have to disagree, there is nothing lame about enjoying comics in whatever way you want to enjoy them. Comics are Awesome in my book! Love them in whatever way you want to love them.

Man, those Spawn issues! I have 1-100 but stopped there. Should have kept going.
A lot of people stopped near 100 which made the print runs after that much lower.

Personally I don't think its wrong for someone to pull a comic of value out of a dollar bin and then sell it so they can buy more comics from the dollar bin. I personally want way more comics then my meger income could afford on its own so I sell comics I buy so I can afford a lot more for the collection. Nothing wrong with that either :)

You’re not going to find Spawn 174 or 175 in a dollar bin
If you are looking for just that one issue it would be very hard to find in a dollar bin, but if you look for all the comics of value there is a high chance you will find something. Someone out there will find those Spawns on dollar bins, I am sure of it.
whatever happened to buying comics because they were good? people wanting to buy a comic just because it's the first appearance of some character in a movie is so lame
Or maybe if you have a limited budget you can occasionally find a comic with value sell it on ebay and pay for all the other ones you grabbed out of the dollar bin. Nothing wrong with having a little knowledge of what has value so when your digging for the cool art and stories you want, you might grab something else you can sell to keep the rest. But also if you love a character from movies, tvs, animation etc. Nothing wrong with wanting the first appearance of the character in a comic as a memento of that love of that character. I will have to disagree, there is nothing lame about enjoying comics in whatever way you want to enjoy them. Comics are Awesome in my book! Love them in whatever way you want to love them.
