Disagree with Madam Siddiqua. She focussed too much on China, but did not mention the brewing situations with Afghanistan, Iran, Houthies, etc. I think this is a common problem with the anti-establishment analysts, like Madam Siddiqua, possibly intentionally (to reduce Pak importance and, by default, increase India’s importance). Not fair, in my opinion. Mr. Rumi, sir, you should’ve asked this follow-up question. Thank you.

Raza Saheb, the happenings are very serious, the way Mariam Nawaz spoke today as a CM Punjab is unprecedented and very harsh, ending all the possibilities of any reconciliation or negotiations. Moreover the international media is reporting huge mobs taking to street and Army firing on them , resulting lots of deaths. The official or ISPR silence on these issues will give rise to serious unrest and rumour mongering.
At this what Moody or Finch says isn’t really important as law and order situation has become very fragile. The military is running out of options. PTI is exactly going the way Mariam Nawaz has visualized.

It is fallacious to imagine that Chief needs to build 'consensus' among Generals to impose martial law. How many Generals were in the loop on the July 5th, 1977 takeover? Similarly how many Generals were beside Musharaf in October 1999 at the time of his flight not being allowed to land? Also fallacious to suggest Martial law is only imposed after Western aid and dollars. Martial law was imposed in 1977. Soviet invasion of Afghanistan happened in December 1979. 2. 5 years later. Musharaf Coup happened in October 1999. Pakistan was under sanctions following nuclear tests. Aid did not arrive till after September 2001 (9/11). So on both counts your analysis is flawed. Chief does not need buy in from entire top brass. And aid has followed and not preceeded martial law.

Why don't we see more of Ammar Ali Jan, there was a show that Ammar and Shahram used to do. And there are many more examples. I would say infact let's also invite some young PTI voices too.
