I love my Barbara Walker deck. It was my first ever deck back in 1989. I also bought the big book which I read and read and read. Loved learning about all symbols, history, reasons certain figures were used for different cards. The book was informative, interesting, helpful in understanding the depth of the card meanings. The knowledge gained was transferable to readings with other decks. I can highly recommend the book and I would never part with it or my Barbara Walker deck. lol I actually bought the latest print as my old deck is so worn out. p.s. I love your channel, your content and your take on the decks and life.
I will get on it then! I was completely burnt out on deck studies after finishing WW, but I do feel that deck calling to me more strongly than my others right now. Might be a great place to start with picking up that practice again. 🥰 Thanks for watching and for being here!!!
How sweet!!! Much of what I show on my channel is crocheted by my best friend. This one we thrifted together, though. I adore it! 💖 Thanks for watching 🥰
Great video! I have Voyager on my someday list. I just need time to work with it. It’s a beautiful deck and I’m not typically drawn to collage either! I have Tabula Mundi too. I also recommend getting the hard copy book that goes with it 💗
I have the hard copy book, but I think when I tried to open it up about two years ago, I was way too new to esoterica and was completely lost. 😅 I feel much more confident in my knowledge now, so it is probably time for me to pick it up again. 🙂 Thanks for watching!
I think I accidentally deleted my reply lol. I have yet to dig into the Tabula Mundi book. I can get easily overwhelmed (and distracted). Any advice on where to start? I have the Thoth, the Crowley book and 2 Benebell wen books so I’ve just been digesting bits and pieces and soaking in one card a day. Absorbing info but open to actual study in 2025! ❤
Hi Katie, I tried posting a comment and it didnt show up so I’m trying again. I like the tarot St Petersburg and I pull it out random times of the year. I have the botecelli deck too but haven't used it much. I don't know why because so pretty. Are you taking about the Gill Tarot? The deck has some large numbers I really enjoy the gill tarot. I enjoyed your video and thank-you for sharing. ❤️
ahhh, Katey Flowers always had the Gill Tarot (i believe that is the one with the numbers you are referring to). I bought it cuz of her, because, ya know, Katey Flowers. Mine is bossy and a truth teller LOL Thanks for always being real and insightful on your videos.
It's worth picking up the big book for Voyager tarot. Voyager Tarot of the Great Oracle. The Barbara Walker book is great - it's available on Kindle for $4. Finally, the book that MM Meleen wrote to go with Tabula Mundi is also great. Waves of Your Soul, Marine, has some great videos on the Tarot of St Petersburg.
Thanks for reminding me I can pick up the Barbara Walker book on Kindle! I prefer my study books to be hard copy, but it might be a good idea for me to buy the Kindle copy and "preview" it before I commit to the hard copy. I didn't know Marine had videos on ToSP. She's one of my favorite UA-camrs!
Fallen Angels is intense. I agree with you that it prefers not to be used willy nilly. When I've used it, I get the most spookily accurate readings and I feel like I need to open and close a circle before and after using it. I sound crazy, I know. But I'd say it's my most curious of decks!
@@sincerelyshannadee I wholeheartedly agree! I have found that it works really well for predictive style readings because of its accuracy. I do look forward to using it more in 2025! Happy Solistice, Shanna ✨️✨️✨️
I don’t have the Tabula Mundi but I think using it as a decan walk deck would work really well, and it’s a pretty easy practice to keep up with. I also bought Tarot of St Petersburg because I thought it was going OOP!! Idk where I heard it, but I heard it, and impulse bought a copy, too 😂 I haven’t used it a ton, but it gives me fairytale vibes, and when I reach for it it’s always at night. I love the Golden Boticelli Tarot! And Fallen Angels! Fallen Angels is better when you use the guidebook, though, because there are reused keywords but in the guidebook it differentiates. I actually had to do a spread with the Fallen Angels about getting to know it, and it kept telling me it’s not what I think it is and I needed to change my perception of it….and after that, it just clicked. It wasn’t so dark and nefarious after that, I guess. The Gill Tarot!! The Katey Flowers deck 😂 I don’t have Barbara Walker and really don’t feel drawn to it. I have the Voyager Tarot and it’s an amazing reader, but I use it strictly as an intuitive reader - my intuition will be screaming the message at me, I’ll go to the guidebook, and then end up confused about the message if I don’t. There’s so much in the collages, that no matter how many times i pull the same card, it’s going to always mean something different. Holy Smokes, I wrote a book 🤦🏻♀️
I really am kind of shocked I haven't thought about using Tabula Mundi for the decan walk before... Like I even have the extra decan cards! A friend of mine gave me a 3-card holder for Christmas, so it does seem to be the perfect place to begin - even if I don't go ALL in, having the cards out could possibly help me make connections between the decans and every day life. For example, I really did feel the Libra decans this year so strongly (2-4 of swords). It'd be nice to see the correlations between the decans and everyday life as a casual undertaking. I love the guidebook for Fallen Angels for its predictive-style readings! I think it mostly falls neglected because I find myself reaching for it in those settings primarily. I think I need to do the same with Voyager. I respect the deck so much, but starting with smaller, intuitive readings might keep me from becoming overwhelmed. That deck has A LOT to say! Thanks for watching, Sara 🥰
happy solstice! straight out the gate with TM, 😅😅😅. I do not have it however, a Thoth system deck is not a secondary character. Way too much personality. Ive found Thoth doesnt play with others so well... a decan walk with thoth sounds chilled, every 10 days and you can fall off and pick up when you like. 🎉 And thank you, I have nauturescapes and I will try pairing with an animal deck for that reality & fantasy fun aspect.
Happy Solstice! 🥰 I agree!!! Placing it on the secondary row worked for me for so long, but then it just... didn't. I agree that it needs its own place. A friend of mine just got me a 3-card holder for a gift, so I think that in itself is a calling for me to pick up the decan walk in a more casual atmosphere. I can definitely handle that! Thanks for the ideas! I appreciate you watching!
I love the Naturescapes as well - but I am adverse to the backs 🫣 I look through it a bit but I do not use it regularly. I wish it had a linen option. Have you tried Rachel Tordas Flow Tarot? I really enjoy your channel very much. Blessed Yule and Merry Christmas
I agree! I like the backs in general, but they are not the best fit for the deck itself. I would scoop up a linen edition in a heartbeat. I have considered buying the Flow Tarot, but once I realized that it shares some images with Naturescapes because both pull from the public domain, I felt instantly like one would replace the other. I've definitely come close to buying it several times! Thanks for watching and for being here 🥰 Happy Yule and Merry Christmas to you, too!!!

My grandma used to crochet that exact pattern ...she called it the pineapple pattern. I don't know if that's what it's called. I have tons of it ❤

The Gill Tarot! Yes! The Goblin Market's number illustrations definitely remind me of that!
Thank you for being here. 🥰

@ You even have the decan cards?! Omgosh girl 🤦🏻♀️🤣🤣
The White Sage Tarot is my car reader, she is perfect there!
Ahhh, yes!!! I'm glad to hear it! She's already moved into her own little spot with the Secret Garden Inspo cards! Thanks for watching! 🥰
