This was Yeri's debut for the group. And they have a few dance practices but very minimal and sporadically posted. They have one for Rookie, Look (a b-side), Umpah Umpah, Feel My Rhythm, and Birthday. There is a couple of clips floating around out there of some other songs but just bits and pieces. And also most K-pop MV shoots are around 3 days of filming.
i don’t think that you guys have even touched their fully RED and fully VELVET songs yet. you’ve sort of gone in the middle. The “mature”, velvet side songs are like: Automatic Be natural kingdom come bad boy Bye bye psycho peekaboo one of these nights Their rnb side is actually astonishing and that’s why i love most of their older songs Their “Red” more poppy sounding songs are like: happiness Dumb Dumb Red flavour power up Rookie #Cookie jar Russian roulette Umpah Umpah Then the rest of their songs would fall into the category of mixed or “undecided” so it’s a debate among the fandom but the songs that are listed above are unarguably in those categories song wise.
2:39 im dead 😂 With Ice Cream Cake Red Velvet had their first win! They debuted as 4 members in 2014 (joy, wendy, seulgi, irene) and Yeri Joined the group with Ice Cream Cake in 2015. Originally Happiness is their debut song but Irene considers Ice Cream Cake as their debut song bc its also Yeri's debut song! ❤
They are such baaaaaaaaaabies in this video! This was Yeri’s debut with the group, along with their velvet song Automatic. If you go back to Happiness (their debut) and Be Natural, you’ll see only 4 of them. :) Also, Seulgi is pronounced like ghee at the end not hard gee. ^.^ Sool-ghee (roughly). Edit: Also ICC is super not about ice cream cake. That saucy at the end? Not just the end. ~~Euphemisms~~
YEP! The problem with finding Red Velvet dance practices is that they didn't do them before a certain time and then they have posted them in random places. However, if you go to Red Velvet's YT Channel and look at their playlists, you will find a playlist called "Performances & Choreography" - there you will find dance practices for: * Rookie * Look * Umpah Umpah * Feel My Rhythm * Birthday * Joy's Hello * Seulgi's 28 Reasons * Seulgi collab with Karina (aespa), Jeno (NCT Dream), Kai (EXO) for Hot & Cold There are also some other performance and choreography videos on that playlist, but those are the most "dance practice" videos. They also have some behind content for other things such as this year they did their R to V tour and there is a lot of behind the scenes content for that tour prep which includes behind the scenes cuts of some dance practices, etc. But from the list above (which I included 3 non-full group projects) you can see there are actually only 5 dance practices that are like what you'd expect to see. We still haven't gotten a dance practice for Chill Kill and at this point people are thinking it's unlikely we will get one. *shrug* I have no idea what SM is doing. Edited to add: OH! BUT! Recording behind content is GOLD. And we do have that for Chill Kill - and looots of behind the scenes content that is really high quality and good.
SM has been putting out behind the scenes recording videos in the last few years and yep, I think it'd be fun to react to an MV + performance video/dance practice + recording video. I recommend Feel My Rhythm because the performance video is completely different from the MV.
In Korea, Red Velvet was the third generation top. Above Blackpink. 3rd generation 1. the best visual was Irene. 2. the best vocalist was Wendy. 3. the best dancer and all-arounder was Seulgi. Notably, Irene was ranked #1 overall among all idols at the time. The current 4th generation is probably the "Karina" of the SM enter AEspa team. (Most of the best and most popular visuals and vocals of the day come from Sm Enter).
this is really the first pure Red concept you have reacted to and its the side that really leans into the experimental taste of rv in the verses. i think you guys next reactions should be either two pure Red Concepts like Dumb Dumb, Happiness (no yeri yet), Rookie, or Power Up or two pure Velvet Concepts like Be Natural, Automatic, or One of These Nights
ICC was paired up with Automatic as title track, so it would be fun if you reacted to Automatic next! that's really showing the different between Red and Velvet in one release pleaaase react to their recording behiiindd
Yep - I watched your full video, I enjoy your videos 🙂 This is their first mini album with Yeri (maknae) in it. They had 2 singles before this with only 4 members - Happiness & So natural. I think you get their vibe now and its great that you are enjoying their music. They have very few dance practices - Feel my rhythm, Rookie, Umpah Umpah. But they have performance videos, you should check them out - Psycho, Feel my rhythm & Birthday. As you did Exo sub units, please react to Irene & Seulgi sub unit - Monster and Naughty. They are both amazing mvs and they have the stage/choreography videos, you will love it. btw the 'gi' in Seulgi is pronounced as 'gi' in gift.
Yep, yeppers….Take a look at ‘One of These Nights’ video. It is complex. For me this song was such a surprise. It was just so different from what Red Velvet released before. I think the song is such a sublime a mix of beauty and melancholy. When I hear it, it feels like it rips the air out of my lungs. I think their voices really have the sublime ability to evoke multiple emotions simultaneously. Like stab and smile, or smiling while fashionably stabbing, LOL 😂
Sorry there are a few Behind the scenes of MV's for them. The more thorough ones start really around Feel My Rhythm, then there is an MV bts and Album photoshoot BTS for Birthday. More their newer content. Their older songs have some bts but most videos are short. Up to you to check out. I still think it's a good watch.
Red Velvet's Ice Cream Cake is perfectly safe, and tasty. Don't mind the almond flavor. It's definitely not arsenic. Seulgi is pronounced with a hard G, like Get. If you ask Irene what their debut song is she will say it's Ice Cream Cake, in spite of them debuting a year earlier with Happiness / Be Natural. The reason behind this is that Yeri (pronounced like Jerry), the youngest, was absent when they officially debuted because they thought her too young at the time. Irene considers and ICC their debut because it's their first comeback as a full 5 member group. (I hope that made sense. It's very late...) And yep.
That mention of Lisa was the first time I'd heard any mention of an YG artist in one of your videos. I'd wondered before if you guys just aren't into the style of YG groups or if you just haven't listened to them much before.

For example, other groups would lower a microphone if it's too high at an award show, but Treasure goes and hoists up their group member instead.
They are actually from SM Entertainment so the channel SMTOWN has all of Red Velvet's Official stuff on it. The separate Red Velvet channel has extra stuff like vlogs and behind-the-scenes videos but the actual Official Music Videos are all on SMTOWN. Somewhere there are some behind-the-scenes videos of when they were recording some of the songs in the booth. Those are AMAZING. I really hope this helps.
Lisa? The fake rapper from BP? There's no way she's one of the best female kpop rappers, she doesn't even appear on any top lists. She doesn't write any of her lyrics, doesn't live the hip hop culture. Everything she raps including the American style rap flow and cadence she is directed on how to do it. Half the lyrics she raps she has no idea what they means, only real rappers would understand. The best female kpop rapper is still CL from 2NE1, the YG group that Blackpink's concept and member roles are based around.
