This looks fantastic! This would be a great therapy for elderly people with Alzheimer's-it looks like a lot of the"exhibits"-the items in the shops, the busses etc.- could trigger comforting memories
Living close I'm biased but its the best museum, ever. Been 8 times and going again before I pop off to other side, more shops and a pub added since was last there so I must visit and have fish n chips 🤭 be easy now on my mobility scooter but no way going down mine, have a fear lol Well done 👍👏👏👏
Bostin video! Pity you missed out - the chip shop do chips cooked in vegetable oil: you just have to wait whilst they cook them especially for you - my family and I are vegetarian too.
I really enjoyed my time here at this attraction, and it's something different for the channel - will you be visiting Black Country Living Museum soon? Did you enjoy this vlog? As always, I will see you all in the next one 👌
@ADJC2785 depends how long you want to take to do certain things such as if you want to grab some lunch. Grab a drink, go on a ride, or watch some of the talks - but I recommend probably I would say 4 - 5 hours as you will take over an hour in the mine alone
It's the best in the country. The people there are wonderful and so are the people it attracts. Lovely day out ,been many times and have taken friends and relatives their. Plus a bonus ,if yow want summit to ayt, they serve the best proppa fish in chips in the world. Goo on ,av a gud day thear❤
Thanks for doing a video on this museum! I used to bring my students over every year from France🌍 for a 5-day immersion and we'd always do 1 day in Dudley, so I have seen this museum evolve quite a bit! As a history and language teacher I'm working on a similar project with my YT channel in English about backroads places in SW France : www.youtube.com/@TouringBackroadsFrance Cheers!
@@ThemeParksAndAttractions The 1950s shops which replaced the FunFair and filled in some of the space between the entrance and the ironworks near the canals. Our last visit was in 2019, covid and brexit put an end to school trips to the UK. Maybe next year, although doing YT videos is easier than organizing school trips at this point, and also can pay better 😀 bonne continuation !
@@ThemeParksAndAttractions Might have to check it out. Until I saw your video I didn't realise there was other living museums in the UK. Thanks for sharing.

Definitely - it's a great place to visit, especially for elderly people - most of the staff there are older and volunteers 🙂

Excluding the mine tour, how long do you think it took you to get around the whole site?

Might check it out in the future 🙂
How does this compare to Beamish?
I've not been for a long time, so I couldn't say - although the mine here is great, I know that much
