Being able to search up that River's Rebuke the turn after your opponent went off in the match against Kiora was actually obscene. Enjoyed that play so much. I had also never realised how well Rebuke and Confounding Conundrum played together, should the match have actually continued.
17:54 A bunch of lands, a dead Krasis, and a pair of boots on fire showing someone running. Sometimes the game isn't very subtle when it wants you to understand that it's time to leave the game.
There are some payoffs in the deck like the white tutor. I only play them if there’s an advantage to doing so, since facing Reidane could make you regret it.
Making a kraken would have been funnier, but sure, winning the game is nice too :) good vid, what I saw treaded a fine line of both decks popping off and no curb stomp on either side
Praise for purposefully prioritizing playing real physical cards and not the digital only cards that mean nothing to people who play magic in real life. 🙌
@@cardgamesletsgo2079 don’t be koi, brawl decks can function exactly like commander decks the majority of the time, just with slight commander zone changes and having a far more limited card pool.
i watched a lot of matchup and differents build with this Commander, but i really get dissapointed on how it performs, is good but not super good, i really preffer after watched a lot of this CGB build, better to have a deck with very good value cards on it, no bad draws or dead card and commander as advantage when the time comes, but usually in the rest of builds Tom falls to die or to never get advantage of his text, the power is certainly there, but usually does nothing, that makes me sad since i like him a lot, also his wife is really powerful if u use it properly, i get impressed by the powerful she is
Two reasons, I'd guess. One would be the overall opinion, for alchemy isn't that good. The second would be for paper players who might want to construct this deck for commander. Again, if you wanna add alchemy cards, you can do that. Just use your own judgment and balance the power level.
@@Jason-qx9hn I think he mentioned at the start of the video that the reason he didnt add them was because they arent available in Paper, if Legend cared about balance he would not have put Golos in the deck imo (that 1st game didnt feel like a Tom Bombadil deck win) so I think he is fine with Alchemy cards being broken.
In addition to other answers, there's a sizable contingent of players who get extremely upset about Alchemy and work as hard as possible to be negative to anyone who plays it, which for a content creator isn't worth the hassle. No one wants a toxic comment section and it's pretty easy to just avoid a couple of cards.
The one thing that bums me out is that Starfield Mystic should be good in this deck if anywhere, and Jukai Naturalist is still the better option. Ah, well.
magic arena mo is making me syrex and hate magic... You can't play the system it seems it does it on purpose to make me lose it doesn't let me get the right cards.. it seems sometimes it makes me happy and then stresses me out to sponge me up to update the deck or do another one.. because sometimes in matches Magic Arena is absurd... I can't stand it anymore to see Magic Arena...
First time I am writing this under one of your videos: The deck can not compete at all. A few lucky wins here and there, but overall it gets dumped on by most of the meta decks. Instant hell queue too. Bad deck. (D1 Bo1 for those curious)
If I had to guess the reason why this deck would be sending you into "hell queue" it would be becuase it has Golos and maybe even Sythis so you could try replacing those and see if you get better match ups.
@@Grimxonic board wipes are somewhat symmetrical at least, also are somewhat specific (okay farewell let's you decide among many things) but rebuke just says, send opponent back to the stone age. Every single deck that has blue plays it, making for boring and unoriginal gameplay. Time stamps with commanders provide a lot of value! ❤

THIS BRINGS ME SO MUCH JOY! TOM IS MY FAVORITE CHARACTER FROM LOTR. THANK YOU LUCA!!! AWESOME JOB AS ALWAYS!!
A joy as always, love how methodical you are about plays
That Elspeth conquers death. Lucky AF.
Awesome deck, very well done and really thematic. Thanks. Great work as usual.
Very fun deck and commander :) Great job as usual
I've been waiting for this!
Really loving these time stamps
I was looking forward for this deck
That ECD returning Tom + Tom triggering off ECD’s sacrifice interaction is sooo slick
I think this archetype need a way to give read ahead to any saga to maximize the commander potential
There is a card with that in Doctor Who
Hey dol! merry dol! ring a dong dillo!
Ring a dong! hop along! fal lal the willow!
Tom Bom, jolly Tom, Tom Bombadillo!

Nice video man
Glad you enjoyed
I've been waiting for this one!
Oh nice! Sagas needed a 5 colour commander and they did alright with the design.
It's storytime with Tom Bombadilo!
Against that Imoti deck, you got SO lucky. Haha. Good games
The mirror match opponent definitely did NOT have it xD
I like your approach of boycotting alchemy cards! Just did the same to all my decks
But LOTR cards are technically alchemy cards
@@maciek19882LotR cards are universes beyond, not alchemy. They don't have digital only mechanics and you can buy them in paper.
@@maciek19882tbh I think he does it cuz paper players are more interested. Lotr is in paper, while alchemy isn’t
Whenever you shorten _Elspeth Conquers Death_ to conquers death I hear “Conker’s death” hehehe. Conker’s Death and Cruelty of Gex are great sagas.
Love Tom♥️
Whoof, that Tom spin into Conquers Death JUST as the elder gods came down... opponent really should have eaten your sagas :p
Could you explain why you alwaxs play snow basic lands?

Danse of the manse is in my top 5 mtg cards ever

Oh yeah. Way to use real cards in a format that only exists in Arena.

that rebuke was brutal
Tom taking down Sauron was MAXIMUM FLAVOR.
In the first game the binding creature had some odd animations 17:32
Looks like the old tap icon. Probably jankiness regression bug because it's a saga that got a lot of keywords as a creature.
Why didn't The weatherseed threaty trigger tom again at 28:28 ?
edit: it can only trigger once per turn, should have read the card xD
Historic Brawl is such a meme format. We really need singleton
What you did to the second opponent should not be legal.
Also, ripping that ECD as your first hit in game four is obviously some kind of witchcraft.
@LlywellynOBrien I think you mean... MAGIC
44:04 guess they haven’t got it 😅
That mirror match😂❤

Is there a worse five color creature than Tom? I don't mean to be bad, but if you win with Tom, it is probably cause you were already winning
I feel bad for that genesis ultimatum hit 🤣🤣 that was so garbage
Just wondering, why do you avoid Alchemy cards?

Should have named the deck Tom Bombabrawl...
I'm eager to see your Sauron Grixis Historic Brawl deck.
Playing against a properly built Tom deck is like dealing with multiple hemorrhoids

NICE
This is the vid i was looking. Got Tired of theoritical explanation with no game
Goldberry is busted in this deck, not pretty weak. Watch cgb and his tom deck
It's great when it survives, but being a creature with no immediate impact is often the problem.

Go figure the guy playing a disgusting card like Sauron ended up being a salty crybaby who disconnects when they're losing lol
dong long dongdidong....
😊
Curse of silence is actually such a bad card. So irrelevant against so many decks.
I like it in decks that can reliably remove stuff. So even late game it taxes their commander and draws.

river's rebuke should be banned. Literally unfunniest thing to play against and basically an instant win button
