Amazing....just absolutely amazing.This is why i love Blundell and zombies as a whole. Doing all of that experimenting and truly caring about mixing it up and just trying things is why everyone can say "this is my favorite zombie map" and everyone is different. Jason is an absolute maestro crafting all of these things and thanks to this chronicles release and all of the interviews and everything im fully appreciating it and am more thankful than ever.

This was fantastic, probably my favorite out of all the interviews with him. Blundell just seems like a super nice, genuine guy who honestly loves what he's doing, the story he's created/continued and the community he's fostered.

Hearing him talk about not wanting zombies to turn into the production mill is honestly sad to me because that's exactly what happened to the mode once he left. In Cold War, Outbreak, Onslaught, and 2 of the traditional maps were all direct rips from multiplayer/campaign. Vanguard is even worse, not a single new zombies-specific area in the entire game. It's just Shi No Numa and a bunch of reskinned maps from multiplayer. Perhaps he saw the writing on the wall when the zombies team was gutted in BO4 and that's why he left.

I think he and Craig must have got discouraged with showing their faces in the community when they saw that Chaos just wasn't hitting the bar as they wanted it to... That and I bet Activision has been very strict on everyone and didn't wanna let him and Craig interact with the community when Activision started pulling their scummy moves on Bo4.
I got chills from Black ops one campaign when I saw takeo's confrontation with himself. I got memories immediately of reznov telling Mason to not trust ur government. fight for what u think is right

Reed, you had a big impact on my teenage years. there is a reason why you stood out to me in 2010 (subscribed on a different account). you were so well spoken and explained things in greater detail. I was hooked when you started putting out your zombie storyline vids. i was upset at the time that you weren't getting as much recognition for your vids compared to other youtubers. On one note, I do wish you would bring back your OG intro for one video, but it's unlikely that will happen lol. Dude since middle school, I have been watching your vids and now I'm in college, so I can't keep up with everything you put out. From your face reveal, custom zombies, making your own posters, and GETTING AN INTERVIEW WITH BLUNDELL, you're definitely getting the attention you deserve. Glad your channel is growing and keep grinding!

I missed this video when it was new, but it's still done very well. Nice to see a UA-camr actually conduct an interview with notes fully ready, not pushing to get to the next question and the notes and questions are READY. No offense to anyone else I've seen but you were well prepared Reed. Also, can we seriously acknowledge what an MVP Blundell is for all of us. A true gaming and "nerd culture" fan. Get mad at some of the maps or EE steps but the guy is passionate. Love seeing a top guy for a game studio still get excited about his work.

and then black ops 4 came out... I feel like most of what Jason says here all disappeared in bo4 zombies. Not sure if it's lack of time and polish or just lazyness but it's pretty sad to see that they couldn't create the vision they had for zombies in bo4.
I believe it's a mix of meddling by Activision and the fact that they just didn't have time to do their Chaos story and Aether at the same time and they we're going too ambitious on something they weren't sure would sell, and Chaos didn't sell. As much as I love IX for it's map design, that story should have really been put to the wayside until Aether ended. In fact, they just need to make Zombies it's own spin off title that they can constantly update with new stuff and maps with passes for them. That would sell so well. Add all the previous maps, then make new ones and sell them in season passes.
13:18 listen to this. At least we know that the team at Treyarch cares about that. They understand the backlash and want us to speak our minds. Even with Black Ops 4.
Jc's interview was awesome, and as a player since Kino Der Toten, I share pretty much every opinion you have, and I like to believe I have a very open-minded opinion. The way you are very upfront and commanding in the way you ask questions is very entertaining, and this interview was the best by FAR. I liked every question you asked, and of course there were questions myself and others wanted to see, but then again, would *we* have thought of those questions in the 5-15 minutes given to you guys for the interview? Probably not. That goes along with the open-minded and trust needed in a game/stroryline like this. Revelations was a little bit of a disappointment, and now that we have DLC 5 it seems like even more so, but maybe that was the point. I believe that even though tall the promotions said it was the end, I honestly knew it wasn't, and Revelations isn't meant to be the grandest spectacle conceived for this long-beloved game. Everything builds up to something, in every aspect of life. And I literally cannot fucking wait until the next game comes out. Now what sucks about looking back on this is that you probably won't respond to this because of my username which I completely understand. I thought it was funny but now it isn't cause only in rare situations do creators respond, and I completely don't demand you do. Honestly I just want you to read it, and I don't want recognition. I share a passion for this game that pretty much no one I know except people on this site and Blundell, etc... SO much time spent on this game and to think that the storyline probably won't be done within the next two seasons. UGH I just hope you read this my main man Reed, and sorry for the expletive name.

19:35 I think the Keeper drawing is what happens prior to Samantha being taken out of the House to become cleansed, which I also believe is represented by another drawing, one where Samantha is in a dark forest. While it would make sense, instinctually, to suggest that the forest is ZNS, I find no logic behind the suggestion. I think it's the dark woods that we see in the zombie menu, memory segments, *and*, the one Monty is describing in one of the radios in Revelations. He recites Dante Alighieri's The Divine Comedy.

There's a reason why I fell in love with zombies. It wasn't just the gameplay, it's the massive story just MASSIVE story. The mystery the contemplation of different options of how the story could go. I mean we just found out who the bald guy is in Ascension (Gersch) and who the Pentagon thief is (Yuri). This story has some of my favorite genres in fact; historical fiction, science fiction, and a bit of fantasy. The way Jimmy and Jason formed this awesome story off of just a side mode is incredible. The locations the characters THE MANY CHARACTERS I MIGHT ADD, is amazing! I just gotta say thank you to them.

Great interview. Every question seemed well thought out and worthwhile and we were able to kind of see inside Jason's head and thinking more. I feel like this video kind of gives us a better understanding of why Jason b and 3arch do some of the things that they do in zombies. There are two types of developers: The ones who put out their work out, see the criticism and shy away, correcting everything to their fans' whims. And then there's the ones that take risks, watching the hate and criticism from afar as it unravels and soon impresses the community. The ones who know how it will play out. Blundy, you've become the best one to be out of the two.
I have so much more respect for Blundell after all of these interviews. His transparency after all this time of crypticism is such a breath of fresh air. I can truly see how much he cares about the game and it's fans.
Can you tell them to remove the death barrier that gets you killed when you try to get the free perk in Revelations when the low gravity thing runs out when you're about to jump to the cylinder thing.

Now what sucks about looking back on this is that you probably won't respond to this because of my username which I completely understand. I thought it was funny but now it isn't cause only in rare situations do creators respond, and I completely don't demand you do. Honestly I just want you to read it, and I don't want recognition. I share a passion for this game that pretty much no one I know except people on this site and Blundell, etc...

I really appreciate the well thought out response! Revelations was a bit underwhelming, but Zombie Chronicles was truly a swan song for the zombie community. I can only imagine what will happen going forward.

I think the Keeper drawing is what happens prior to Samantha being taken out of the House to become cleansed, which I also believe is represented by another drawing, one where Samantha is in a dark forest.
While it would make sense, instinctually, to suggest that the forest is ZNS, I find no logic behind the suggestion. I think it's the dark woods that we see in the zombie menu, memory segments, *and*, the one Monty is describing in one of the radios in Revelations. He recites Dante Alighieri's The Divine Comedy.

There's a reason why I fell in love with zombies. It wasn't just the gameplay, it's the massive story just MASSIVE story. The mystery the contemplation of different options of how the story could go. I mean we just found out who the bald guy is in Ascension (Gersch) and who the Pentagon thief is (Yuri). This story has some of my favorite genres in fact; historical fiction, science fiction, and a bit of fantasy. The way Jimmy and Jason formed this awesome story off of just a side mode is incredible. The locations the characters THE MANY CHARACTERS I MIGHT ADD, is amazing! I just gotta say thank you to them.

Great interview. Every question seemed well thought out and worthwhile and we were able to kind of see inside Jason's head and thinking more. I feel like this video kind of gives us a better understanding of why Jason b and 3arch do some of the things that they do in zombies. I have so much more respect for Blundell after all of these interviews. His transparency after all this time of crypticism is such a breath of fresh air. I can truly see how much he cares about the game and it's fans.

you are definitely one of the better UA-camrs that I have gotten alot into now thanks to Milo and lex and it really makes me happy and interested to see how everyone looks at this game different than others and the ending because like you were saying about zetsabou no shima is that it is not a bad idea nor a map just got ruined by the bugs
