Well, if he didn't attack, then it would be Arugal and the 1/2 elemental returning to the hand. So it wouldn't have been much different, the giant would've been destroyed. It would've been even better, since he would have a 1/2 elemental instead of discovering a taunt. Unless I missed something.

That's a good question. I'd assume it would be an 8/8 since other buffs work normally and Blizzard seemed to take the laziest route with Magnetic by treating it as a buff instead of a more fundamental fusion, so since silence can completely wreck Magnetic stacks you can probably make an 8/8 assuming the logic is consistent.
Probably but this way you get 2 divine shields instead.
@Lamp Boi Same. The expansions this year had some cool card ideas but all of the new keywords were poorly handled. Magnetic is too easy to beat and is mostly on bad cards, Overkill is too hard to use and is mostly on bard cards, Echo is awesome... but oops we forgot to put it on good cards again and then immediately stopped printing new cards with it.

The last 3 sets were created with the power reset due to rotation in mind.
No meta-warping or singular I-win death knight cards.
@@rogaldorn4759 Genn and Baku say you shouldn't bet on that. We also still have Shudderwock and Hagatha, Dr. Boom, Subject 9 and Zul'jin (although Wandering Monster is rotating which makes the secret package quite a bit worse), Psychmelon, Dreampetal Florist and Floop (with Malygos, although druid is losing most of their absurd armor gain and card draw) and Oondasta. But mostly Genn and Baku.
Also that doesn't really have anything to do with how poorly they handled the new keywords. Lifesteal and Poisonous were both added last year and while neither have defined the power level of the format they have managed to print great cards using them both in and after the sets that introduced them.
Although I did just remember that Rush wasn't added until The Witchwood so to be fair I have to point out that they did add at least one great new keyword that has continued to see use and is on many cards you can actually put in a deck. A 25% design success rate probably isn't too bad for a small indie company.
quest looks like loads of fun. wish I had that card as have everything else for this deck.

@@D00M3R-SK8 No, the quest is so powerful that you just get the effect of it even if you forget to put it in your rogue deck. This is why it's been so difficult to nerf, they'd have to completely delete the class to take it out of the meta. Better get it in fast though, my dad works for Nintendo and he said that when they rotate the quest to wild they're going to have to rotate the entire class too. We're getting Monk as a replacement class in standard this spring.

@@MaeseEidos ive been doing particularly well with rush warrior, and it does good at clearing the rouges board while putting on pressure.
General rule of thumb for quest rouge, is have an OTK combo, or kill em fast. So whatever you have that kills people the fastest should work against quest rouge.
Its not as an oppressive deck as it used to be, only good players can even use it at this point.

Rogue Quest is the most powerful card ever printed. It's been nerfed directly what, three times? Indirectly nerfed at least as much. Every single expansion gives it something it can abuse.

After giving it some thought I'm pretty sure Baku is the most powerful card ever printed, since it's the only one that always "starts in your opening hand" (for the purposes of getting the effect) and that can literally solo the opponent without help from any other cards against the right hands or opponents. Even pre-nerf Undertaker couldn't do that.
