    "White Chocolate"(his nickname) played in the league for 12 years, one chip. Fun fact: He was Randy Moss's teammate in high school, where he was Moss' quarterback. Then they went to West Virginia together, Moss playing football and Williams playing basketball.

      You mean Marshall University. I went there when they were both there. I Played with Jason Williams and Keith Veney a lot when they sat out the first year Billy Donovan was there.

    He played in Miami (and got his ring) with Shaq. Shaq said, "All I had to do was put my hand up and I knew the ball would be there. Every time".

    Jason Williams and Pete Maravich are two players that come to mind when you talk about adding "flair" or "flash" to their passing. Magic Johnson would be another name I would throw in there but Magic wasn't as "daring" as the other two.
    And to your question about missed passes, yes, many players got hit in the face during practice because they were not paying attention to the ball lol. Chris Webber talks about how wild practice was with Jason Williams and how you had to be ready all the time because Jason was setting things up you didn't see...

    All the transition 3's and shooting way behind the line that you see today, he started it. Flashiest passer and best ball handler I've ever seen. He didn't have the fanciest handles, but nobody had better control of the ball. He might as well of had glue on his hands.

    It's only two players in the history of the NBA. This better flashier pastors than Jason Williams, magic Johnson and Jason Kidd

    He was coached by Billy Donovan (the current Chicago Bulls coach) at Marshall University back in 1995-1996.

    man them Kings in 01 was crazy good, they was supposed to go to the Finals but thats when the refs got caught for fixing games and the Lakers went wen they really shouldnt have. And J Will was in the league long, he played for the kings 1998 , then the grizzles, then heat with d.wade (they won a ring), magic , retired wit grizz 2011

    He.was a streaky shooter and sometimes his "hot dogging" lead to turnovers.. he wasnt the most efficient guard. When he got "cold" it got ugly

      Exactly, which is why he got traded in 2001 for Mike Bibby as the point guard. He also was getting suspended for violating anti-drug policies and fined for cursing out fans. Great talent but always getting into trouble. He did win a championship with Miami in 2006.

    He did play long in the league. Had some injuries and then got traded to a coach that didnt like the way he played. Won a ring with D Wade and Shaq in Miami.

    The 2000s are the 2nd most viewed decade in history. This decade probably had the best variety of NBA superstars.
    What do I mean by superstars? Players that increase NBA ratings. Today, NBA viewership is only decent for Lakers or Warriors games (Lebron and Curry.)
    During the 2000s, so many teams had huge rating draws. NBA popularity was so high this decade.

    When all the new age, youngsters, Lefony(Lebron) fanboys, JJ redick, clutch sports, etc… say we are done with 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s, etc… you all have forgotten that there are so many players that could shoot the 3, have handles, play way better defense, get meet at the rim by 7footers to try and score over or dunk(nit just skinny 6”10 players like today), etc… they were very efficient, have skill, and must importantly have heart and pride to play like this every night and not load manage!!

  • @sumnahlennon5449
    @sumnahlennon5449 11 днів тому +1

    One thing to know about NBA. There are All Stars, and there are ratings bringers. For example, regardless of how people feel about Kobe vs Lebron this decade, Kobe was the "star" to TV viewers due to his appeal.
    The 2000s probably had the largest variety of star players that lead people to turn on their TVs to watch. Maybe the very late 1990s could be argued to have comparable star power for TV ratings.

    No look!!!! Here is the bad thing. These are not even his best highlights. You got to do a part 2. His wrap around dribble that people thought was a pass, or his fake hehind the back passes that people use to jump at, when he double crossed Glove, etc

      12 seasons is far from average

    • @JIMMYRAYVS
      @JIMMYRAYVS 7 днів тому

      @chemquests i wouldn't say far... A successful average is like 8-10. Only a handful going into 12 season are playing major minutes, and most are on the roster like player coaches.

    • @chemquests
      @chemquests 7 днів тому

      @ The average career length in the NBA is 4.5 years. Think of all the people coming off the bench or not getting playing time. Jason had modest stats for sure, but it’s still a notable career.

    Great video. His passes aren't just entertaining to watch, they freeze the defense to the floor, confusing them. It allows the scorer pretty much an uncontested shot.
