I, too, have seen weird shit as a corpsman. I can't get enough of these. It reminds me of what we did when we were bored on deployment or standing watch; tell stories of goofy shit that happened to us at one time or another. No one speaks how we spoke so it's nice to hear the lingo again. Plus you have covered a lot of areas like the back gate at Lejeune, 29 Palms, Iraq, and other Marine stuff that I am familiar with having served in 2/8. Hope to see many more and I really appreciate them.

Or were they just loose hands floating and moving independently but some how able to exert pull onto the 2 Marines, with out the use of anything tethered to them for them to pull with? The latter option being impossible of course, but no more impossible than the any situation involving preternatural hands/🐙! I'm just curous what the author actually had in mind for how the monster(s) looked. The Marine mentions seeing a huge something out of the corner of his eye. So is it a school of hands like a school of fish, or a big monster with thousands of human hands? I really love creature SciFi and I enjoy learning all about the creature and how it lives, moves, eats, hunts etc...
Man oh man that was fucking fantastic! One minute I'm laughing my ass off and the next my body is all tensed up and my toes are curled while all I can think is "oh no! Don't let him die". The writing is terrific and the narration is Oscar worthy. Can't wait for more!

Thirty years ago two friends and I were crossing the fields to go home from my aunts and uncles who'd we'd been visiting during the school summer holidays when something caught our attention from the left, along the footpath that passed across us as we travelled. IT was a guy on a horse wearing 17th century clothes, long cloak, I could make out his tricorn hat, popular back then and before. The apparition was fully visible but spectral. It raced along the ground but not touching at a faster rate that any thoroughbred from Newmarket could ever hope to achieve. It was around 100feet in front of us and we witnessed it for a few seconds before it vanished into the hedgerow that ran parallel to our journey. We pretty much all shit ourselves my two friends and I and we raced back over the fence, ran back to my aunts house we'd just left, to beg for a lift home. We were obviously disbelieved but we definetly knew what we saw, now I'm not saying it was a ghost but if it wasn't I'd like to stop him and have talks about becoming his horses trainer, he can carry on as jockey as we're going for the next Grand National. Boy can ride, they figuratively were like on rails. It was a really spooky area Lugwardine, where I lived with my Nan in a ramshackle Tudor black and white cottage.along the appropriately named Black Hole Lane I kid you not. Apparently the Black Death had hit the village hard in the late sixteen century but man it was spooky as fuck riding home at night from my mates house a couple of miles away. It was the countryside and Black Hole Lane lay in the middle of a valley so a mist or fog would settle and I always remembered having plucking up the courage walking down that fucking lane at night and there were two trees, one opposite the other. Old, gnarly trees that died a long time ago that I'd gave to pass an have to pluck the courage up to keep walking, I wouldn't of got home if I didn't, it was the only way but then I just used to remember what my Nan said to me, who did believe me that night unlike my aunt and uncle. My Nan told me it's not the dead but the living that hurts us and I remembered that and it gave me courage and fortitude. My Nan also told me that that footpath used to be a bridlepath back in the day so horses would have used it so I don't know, it could gave been a highwayman and we did have a famous one here hanged in hereford, a William Spiggot if I recall. Anyway, that was over thirty years ago but I still remember it to this day and I love watching paranormal stuff though most of its bollocks and if I had footage of what we witnessed it would blow any known footage out of the water, it was that good. Man, I'd love hear stories from guards or airmen stationed at area 51. Just be cool to hear about experimental aircraft or something, cool planes that maybe never made it past the prototype stage, but still had test flights lr something. Or some cool tech inside the base that never goes outside

It was the countryside and Black Hole Lane lay in the middle of a valley so a mist or fog would settle and I always remembered having plucking up the courage walking down that fucking lane at night and there were two trees, one opposite the other. Old, gnarly trees that died a long time ago that I'd gave to pass an have to pluck the courage up to keep walking, I wouldn't of got home if I didn't, it was the only way but then I just used to remember what my Nan said to me, who did believe me that night unlike my aunt and uncle.
My Nan told me it's not the dead but the living that hurts us and I remembered that and it gave me courage and fortitude.
My Nan also told me that that footpath used to be a bridlepath back in the day so horses would have used it so I don't know, it could gave been a highwayman and we did have a famous one here hanged in hereford, a William Spiggot if I recall.
Anyway, that was over thirty years ago but I still remember it to this day and I love watching paranormal stuff though most of its bollocks and if I had footage of what we witnessed it would blow any known footage out of the water, it was that good.

Man, I'd love hear stories from guards or airmen stationed at area 51. Just be cool to hear about experimental aircraft or something, cool planes that maybe never made it past the prototype stage, but still had test flights lr something. Or some cool tech inside the base that never goes outside
