13 years worth of school and not once has someone explained color-coding and the system behind it so clearly in only under 4 minutes. Thank you so much, this is going to make university so much easier for me! ❤️
13 years of school and you can't figure out how to color your own notes? (and yes i realize the irony, considering we are on the same video, but come on..)
This video is so helpful!!! I have never known how to effectively use color and highlighting other than “if it’s important, color it”. I don’t know how I just found your channel, but I am loving it. Your content has already taught me so much while also featuring a beautiful video and concise information. Well done!!
1:09 thank you so much. it helps a lot! Also, for any organization lists, use Microsoft To Do List because Wunderlist is discontinued. But you can import everything into the Microsoft ecosystem!
I’m a second semester nursing student and I’m SOOO GLAD I found your channel!! I need so much help organizing and note taking, especially since I’m taking med-surg 1 this semester. I borrowed my husband’s iPad and bought Goodnotes and now he’s not getting it back for another 3 semesters!! 😂😂
I love your channel. I move into uni in 26 days and I’m so nervous about studying and meeting new people. I’m also excited too. Your videos are so helpful ad give me more confidence and I learn new things too. Xxx
This video is amazing! I was trying to find a way to color code my biology notes but i felt a little bit lost, this helped me so much and solved all my doubts. Thanks!!!
Hey Janice i have a question, do you highlight for exemple all the headings first, then all the keyterms, then all the definition or do you highlight everything at the same time as well as you read ?
I loved it, I voted in the survey and I'm excited that it won. I was wondering where you got you acrylic drawer organizer that you hold you mildliners in? I've been looking for one. 😁
If I'm writing my notes digitally, do you recommend highlighting through the app and then printing? Or printing and then highlight with markers on paper?
What I do is after I take my notes (on my ipad), I highlight them on my 2nd reading on the ipad...then I print & bind them and on the 3rd reading, I underline them with different colored pens instead of highlight. That way, it's easier to study the materials when you need to cram!
A tip: If you wanna use only one color you can use different types of shapes like making a box, highlighting it, making a cloud, making a circle around it and other types so you can identify
Super helpful video! Quick question; do you usually print your notes and color code them or do you do everything (both note taking and color coding) on your iPad?
I personally prefer using the same ''color family'' for things that are related. For example: Heading in purple, sub-heading in pink, key term 1 in orange, second one in yellow etc
Can you do a video on how you prepare for the new school semester? specifically nursing! (e.g. review notes, review previous course content? etc.) Thanks Janice!
Usually, videos will tell u stick to three or four colors and no more but this makes sense since you are using the outline method. I guess it's just whatever works for the person but this video really helped.
It is unnecessary. You just doing it for you want to do coloring. But it is meaningless. Couse although heading is obvious. It is more useful to draw only important places.
Thank you so much for watching! I hope you got some tips from this video even though color coding may not be new to you!
You handwriting is so good

@@itscaptainterry really bro. If it was so easy, why is there a video on it? Come on man…logical deduction..
@Captain Terry wow you must be fun at parties

I love color coding and it’s verry helpful
Hey Janice i have a question, do you highlight for exemple all the headings first, then all the keyterms, then all the definition or do you highlight everything at the same time as well as you read ?
hi! obviously, i’m not Janice, but it would be simpler to do headings, then, key terms, then definition, and so on!💗
Thank you.. i m using this for my students
Very nice video but only one peoblem-- my parents will probably never get me midliners😢😢😢😢
What can I use instead?

Omg thanks for responding. I am also a nursing student and I love watching your videos to learn new ways to become more efficient with my studying.

@janicestudies
What do you prefer more?
White paper in Goodnotes
Black paper in Goodntes
If I'm writing my notes digitally, do you recommend highlighting through the app and then printing? Or printing and then highlight with markers on paper?
I'd say printing and then highlighting... This way you can review them
What I do is after I take my notes (on my ipad), I highlight them on my 2nd reading on the ipad...then I print & bind them and on the 3rd reading, I underline them with different colored pens instead of highlight. That way, it's easier to study the materials when you need to cram!
A tip:
If you wanna use only one color you can use different types of shapes like making a box, highlighting it, making a cloud, making a circle around it and other types so you can identify
I like having fun and playing with shapes in my notes as well.
SO HELPFUL. Thank you
what if I want to highlight a quote (paragraph long)? or points contrasted from other points?
IDK but her Voice is Very Soothing to me!
Piękne notatki uwielbiam twój kanał 💗
Okay this is what I do too! And it works for me. I feel better now lol
This is useful, great vid!
Very nice video but only one problem-- my parents will probably never get me midliners😢😢😢😢
What can I use instead?
What size did you use to get those margins when you printed it? I use A4, but it printed incomplete :(
Very helpful THANK YOU ❤️
Do you think you’d do another video for digital colour coding
Super helpful video! Quick question; do you usually print your notes and color code them or do you do everything (both note taking and color coding) on your iPad?
Beautiful 🌸
you should make a font with that hand writing. i'd support!
is it okay to use color-coding with same colors but different types (metallic/fluorescent/pastel) for topic/subtopic/general?
You can get the high lighters now at staples I just got mine today❤👍🏽
Very good idea thanks
I personally prefer using the same ''color family'' for things that are related. For example: Heading in purple, sub-heading in pink, key term 1 in orange, second one in yellow etc
What brand of pens did you use?
I’ve just subscribed :)
Thank you! ❤
i love your videos
very useful, thank you~
Thank you for this video
Thank you ❤️
Med students: ✨heart failures✨
Can you do a video on how you prepare for the new school semester? specifically nursing! (e.g. review notes, review previous course content? etc.) Thanks Janice!
I like it! Thanks
Thank you🥺❤
New subbie here 🤗
Ty!
maybe a stupid question but what's the difference for you between a "key term" and a "key point"?
EXACTLY I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT-
Usually, videos will tell u stick to three or four colors and no more but this makes sense since you are using the outline method. I guess it's just whatever works for the person but this video really helped.
My whole notebook is is coloured by single coloured highlighter. I thought every line is important 😂😂😂😂
Same like me 😂
Sis what are the name of your pens?
I have only five colors,
I must cut off something here at 2:08
I used to use one color to highlight important staff. So more than one colour will make my visual memorization difficult
i love your voice
@1:49
this video is 2 yrs olf but im cackling about ✨Heart Failure✨
Mam plese make a hindi colours note😇💐
Baby key terms ... I've to remember that.
Yay
But then almost all your text will be coloured
you shouldn't highlight that much it makes it messy in a weird way and too colorful
This is actually terrible advice for most people not gonna lie....
It is unnecessary. You just doing it for you want to do coloring. But it is meaningless. Couse although heading is obvious. It is more useful to draw only important places.
