Thank you for answering. Are you an American? or were you visiting from Europe or elsewhere? I'm not trying to be nosey, I am just learning about Montenegro, and I know very little at the moment. It seems very beautiful, but I keep reading the people struggle financially, and often have to leave to find work. That shouldn't be.

I am from Europe, I live in Hungary only about 1000km from the Montenegrin coast. I have a lot of pictures and videos of the country, I would tell you my experiences about Montenegro, if you liked.
Wow I'm definitely gonna see Montenegro, I'm already intrigued with the warm welcome, I didn't know you have such a wonderful country, expect me there sooooooooon.love from Namibia
Montenegro is a wonder world for me. The mountains, the sea,the kindness öt the people, the narrow little streetfighter, the canyons... When I first went I already felt like I wanted to live there. Sala fron Hungary

...and there it is. :37 sec in you get the opinion from the self-promoting owner at the Almara Lustica Bay Beach Club. Who is this video published by? Lustica Bay Development. Straight up tourism luring. Of course it's going to be beautiful on the coast, It's as beautiful as the coast of Croatia and Albania. It's the Adriatic Sea..and one shouldn't be surprised that prices are inflated along the sea because of it, no surprise there. Go inland, and it's a different story. It's practically a different country....and it's not going to be a cleaned well dressed business man in a white serene setting. The luxury isn't where the money isn't.
Montenegro was so pristine and beautiful, I lived there from 1981 to 1991 and today are the places especially as Budva built over with houses and hotel, shame about the beautiful country
I'm trying to find a hotel in Montenegro. It was called Hotel As in 1989, and there was a monestry on the Hill above, the hotel entrance was on the top of a cliff face and the pool etc was near the bottom. If anyone know please message me.
my great great grandparents come from Yugoslavia and even some of my family still lives in Montenegro wich i find amazing. I want to travel there one day and meet them.
Jason Jonovich I’ve been to Montenegro one and it is very small and inaccessible, which makes it even more beautiful. Only 640,000 people and roughly 80% of the population are on the coast or capital city. As you go into the mainland it gets more and more beautiful, away from the tourist industry. You should definitely visit, and now it’s much easier as there are currently direct flights from New York to Belgrade, and then Belgrade to Podgorica. The Belgrade Podgorica flight is less than 40 min maximum, while the New York flight is about 8 hours.
Jason Jonovich If you stop by in the region, be sure to visit Bosnia and its stunning cities of Mostar, Sarajevo(old town), Western Serbia is also a must see(Zlatibor mountain/Mokra Gora/Sirogojno(a village trapped in time, an outdoor museum of an old Serbian village, shows how people lived less than 150 years ago.)), still untapped by the tourist industry. Croatia is absolutely stunning no explanation needed there, mostly Dalmatia (That's where my grandparents were from). Plitvice is an amazing waterfall in Croatia, And Slovenia has some of the nicest greenery I’ve ever seen. Lake Bled in Slovenia...i have no words. not at all, compared to other countries its pretty cheap. But as a tourist I would suggest having a friend or a guide when visiting, to get the most detailed explanations and to be able to get around.

I wish that Budva becomes more serene and green, city planning is awful.
