Thank you for your video. I have a question. Is there a quantitative method to determine which colormap is best suited to convert the scalogram into an image? In the linked paper (see: chapter II section E), different colormaps are used and the best one is determined based on the model's performance. However, I would like to determine the best colormap before training the model. I would appreciate your feedback. Thank you in advance!

In the lecture, I have used CWT, which is suitable for time frequency representation of signals. if u want DWT, u can but u need to find some specific properties of those dwt coeffs. These properties may include some statistical relations of dwt coeffs.

why u didnt use daubichies wavelet?
I have explained this in video that why sym4 is more suitable. Db is irregular in shape.
