For the last four years, I have watched McFarlane put out one great uniquely sculpted figure after another…the vast majority of which were of characters and/or looks that I have absolutely no interest in. Then, when it comes to one of my favorite DC characters of all time, in pretty much her iconic look…we get one of, if not the, laziest reuses I have seen in 25+ years as an adult action figure collector. I think it’s the principle that really “gets my goat” more than the figure itself which somehow still manages to have some redeeming qualities.
Most of the time Todd will show all new sculpts for any character that we need that will get us very excited to get but in this case.... He really did broke the ball on Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl especially with Knightfall Catwoman reuse and It really should have been an all new sculpt, I so hope they do a re release with painted or non painted bare legs as a non Target exclusive, Awesome review bro
Please do update us when you get the custom going, it sounds like you have some solid ideas. I'm with you in that I wish this Supergirl was better. Myself, I do like the head sculpt and some other things, but I think I'll wait for another Supergirl down the line.

The Skirt should have just been how they have done the trunks for the male characters. So it’s just an overlay over a T-Peg I don’t know why they complicated it like that.
The Revoltech version looks amazing! That reveal couldn’t have come at a better time, because this McFarlane Supergirl was a huge letdown. I know Revoltech figures may lean too far towards an anime look for some, but for me, it’s a fun change of pace.
I'm fine with my Mattel DC multiverse tv Supergirl figure. Really I'm fine with all my Mattel figures. I bought JL Darkseid and the batmobile. Pass on the rest of McFarlane. Never really bought into the larger scale and I'm frequently reminded I'm fine for not investing in this line.
Agreed, I’ve purchased about 5-6 McFarlane’s total? Sold them all and started paying for quality dc figures.. mafex, and Mezco. I figure instead of buying so many dc figures, I’d just buy the ones I want but pay more for the better product.

With that DC Direct Supergirl hairpiece, she looks like current day Kiernan Shipka. Which DC Direct Supergirl figure is that hair from? She'll make a great Supergirl custom. Any word on that leg swap? How'd it go?
He screwed up the Green lantern line too he keeps getting called out on it but he keeps making it more more of it this is a situation where the license should be pulled I'm not saying he could did completely wrong but he's still missing the mark. I got some of his fingers that I do like but it needs to be more than just him working on this stuff or whoever's part of this
I was excited to get this figure, but the shop I went to was out of stock. They only had the darker coloured chase figure... Im glad I didn't get this as the DC Direct/ Collectables one I got is WAY better.

I'll just make the Injustice Supergirl fig the definitive one till McFarlane decides to make an accurate classic Supergirl. But then again, I won't hold my breath on that as it'll take McFarlane a millennium to finally make her.

Thank you for the honest review Brad👍👍👍👍 It's just....so damn annoying that her boots are that tall and the reuse for the arms is just beyond lazy. Though I do approve of the torso, head, cape and badonkadonk. Though I seriously didn't expect that UTTERLY INSANE crotch piece.
It's a decent figure, not perfect but still worth picking up. Might get a 2nd one and customize/kitbash it to my liking. Maybe take all 3 McFarlane Supergirl releases and do some Frankensteining with them.
The problem is that a cloth skirt at this scale may not lay as naturally as an actual, human-scaled skirt would. It might end up being too stiff-looking or will might "ballon up." Kinda like the cloth robes and hoods of Star Wars Black Series figures for Jedis.
I'm glad to see the cloth Cape I think mr. Todd said some about trying to put wires and some at some point that would be killer especially if he continues with this collector's edition thing, maybe that would help justify the extra $10

Why can't we get a decent Supergirl figure? This is infuriating. The best by far is the DC icons rebirth figure, still the best SG figure we have had to date. I don't see us ever getting a better figure. This one is horrible, the face sculpt is horrible, the skirt is awful, the boots are completely wrong. Massive fail.
This is a really bad figure. Not sure why Supergirl is always such a problem to get right. She's a simple character design, are they afraid of making her too sexy or something?
