When BBC's Planet Earth appeared on television screens worldwide a decade ago it transformed how viewers saw their planet. Capturing a global audience of over half a billion people it gave an unprecedented view of life on Planet Earth. 10 years on this fascinating subject has been revisited with the incredible march of technology allowing the viewer to watch the natural world from even more perspectives. This stunning new ultra-high definition series is narrated as before by Sir David Attenborough. The soundtrack from Hans Zimmer and his team leads with the composer's powerful theme to the series which reflects nature in all its awesome power. With over 120 soundtracks to his credit which have grossed 24 billion dollars at the box office Hans Zimmer has been honoured with many accolades, an Academy Award, two Golden Globes, three Grammys, an American Music Award, a Tony Award and The Henry Mancini Award for Lifetime Achievement. His Academy Award nomination for Interstellar marked his 10th Oscar nomination. The score composition is completed by Jacob Shea and Jasha Klebe from The Bleeding Fingers Custom Music Shop, a joint venture between Extreme Music and Hans Zimmer's RCI Global created to build a world-class Zimmer approved TV-focused roster.

This is literally my favourite piece of soundtrack ever. I do mean that.
I was lucky enough to see this performed live at the royal albert hall in London in 2018, a truly remarkable experience.

Imagine being in studio when they recorded the theme song. Must've been so beautiful. Hans Zimmer is always on another level. His music transcends into something above emotion

My dad loved anything to do eith nature and science and astronomy and if course a wide range of music from opera and choir and popular music we got the benefit of that , his last 11 month,s were spent in a hospital bed ,so we got all the the planet earth and other documentary historicall dvd s for him to watch on his t v ,thsnk god he had his own room so could watch them till 2 in the morning if he wanted to ,and his ipad for his music ,it bought peace and calm and joy to him ,and thats why i m listening to it today myself ,great music to go to sleep to ,thsnk you hans and david for the beauty u both add to our lives ,i know we will have all this to the power of God in heaven ,see ye when we get there
This remains one of my favourite documentary series made. Inspired me to spare a thought for the environment in whatever I do.

For me this is the masterpiece of the greatest music maker i have known so far.
Of course there are many great music maker like the guy making the westworld soundtrack and Game of thrones i only say aaaaah aaaaaah ahhhhh. I was laughing my Ass off when i first read somebody writing it in the comments.
And of course James Horner (RIP) i was so sad when i heard that he died.
Titanic and Avatar is such a masterpiece.
Check out Toygar Işıklı's work; he is often regarded as the Turkish Hans Zimmer. I rate him as highly as Hans Zimmer, as both are among my top favorite composers.
