You go grandma. You gave me inspiration because im going to take classes on a trike harley of course. If you can do so this grandma too. God bless you. Keep it up.😊
I am 73 and this is my dream if I had the money I would have one for years I am poor and sick and this is my number 1 bucket list congratulations grandma I love you very much I'm proud of you. How old is she
I am a grandma learning how to drive my Harley Ultra Classis Trike. Thanks for the inspiration. I am in second gear but still a little scared. I watch UA-cam videos, and it really helps me to learn thanks.
Traded my Ultra Limited in for one a couple of months ago and love it. Have to give this gal lots of credit for getting on this 1,200 pound beast and giving it a go.
@@larryclark6212 You just don't start on a bike like this. And sure not with a car in front. Irresponsible people. She never rode before, easy to see.
This is awesome! Go Grandma. If you haven't already, you could get her some 1 Finger brand levers. They take about 30% less to pull. Go get those miles lady.
Damn grandma knows how to have fun… also one observation there is nothing wrong with parking in gear. I actually leave mine in gear in case it rolls off a kick stand
A lot of Harleys look great in dark red. I would get one in silver with the deck of cards decal so it kinda resembles the one Mickey Rourke used in "Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man," my favorite awful movie of all time!
A great inspirational video!!! I started teaching my girlfriend to at least start our trike in case of emergencies and when she tried to move it, the Trike wouldn’t move! We forgot that we had the parking brake on too😂
For getting on the trike I’d fold the armrests on the back seat out of the way to make it easier. Just learning you shouldn’t touch the throttle at all. Just move by the clutch only, then pull it back in. Keep doing that so you know where the clutch will grab. Find an area where you can turn the trike and do figure 8’s. Just takes practice but you’ll get it. Remember, Right foot brake, right hand brake/ throttle. Left hand clutch, left foot gear shift. Nice trike, and now you’ll always want to ride which is great. We have a Freewheeler and luv it. Happy riding. Also it’s always fussy finding neutral.
Love seeing you ride for the first time. We have a trike but my husband past away in Aug. and I'm going to try riding ours. Loved setting on the back but have never wanted to drive. Motorcycles are so much fun.
Sorry to hear about your Husband 😢. You definitely should learn to ride your bike. It'll only expand your circle of friends and make life more enjoyable. Just take a new riders safety course. You'll learn the correct way to ride without ever learning bad and unsafe habits. See you out on the Road. 🤗👍
Does this trike not have a neutral safety switch? I understood that the newer Harley's have a neutral switch preventing a bike start while in gear. With this, the clutch isn't required to be engaged.
Seems like she hasn’t been a previous rider. Lots of practice needed off the road like in parking lots and such. 😮Lots of responsibility when getting on the road for the rider and those around her.
@@4691dave Oh no!!!!! I will retract my comment above! So sorry to hear this!!! How beautiful this memory is!!!! Being a Grandma myself appreciated you doing this for her!!! ❤❤ Hugs to you all!
There is nothing surprising about a trike. HD has been making them since the 1930s! In fact, they did this so people with limited mobility could get around. I like the design. If I had the money, I'd be driving one myself as they require less training than with a motorcycle.
BEWARE: I had a Motor Trike kit installed by Superior Trikes, Florence, SC. They knowingly delivered my trike to me with numerous issues and 2 dangerous issues = did not torque down handle bars and they almost came off while riding and reverse battery was wrong size and installed incorrectly which melted the terminals. If Superior Trikes didn't know all of the 12 issues prior to delivery then they shouldn't be doing any installations at all! I have pictures, videos, text msgs, tel nbrs, email addresses etc. for anyone to see. Motor Trike corporate told me I had to have the very dealer that did the shit installation repair the issues or warranty would be void. Coercion?
Holy cow!!!! You let her ride your 35K dollar trike why???? Over 50% of all accidents occur on borrowed bikes and within less than 40 miles from home. ????? You're risking destroying your bike and putting her in the hospital or the morgue.
They happen to even good/experienced riders by others mistakes or intoxicated driving. Search idiots in cars or dash cam videos on YT. Scary. But he said in comments she was passenger on one for yrs with late husb. Let’s hope her son/family wouldn’t put her or others (or herself) in danger.
Dude giving grandma a trike might not be a good idea, get her a golf cart or something like that, and for gods sake don’t let her ride her grand daughter

Best of luck! You can do it!
Like seeing family oriented riding videos, glad I ran into it
Absolutely love this and you should ignore all the negative comments. Don't those losers ever try anything new? Never too old to learn and have fun.
Well done, just proves you can do anything if you put your mind to it. All the best from Adelaide, Australia.
Thanks for watching..Wow Australia!! Do you ride and if so how are the roads in your country?

Thanks for the encouragement.
She just needs some more experience. Not sure if she ever rode before. Glad she’s having fun
She has plenty of times but she has never been at the controls.

That was inspirational 👍 hope you enjoy the rest of you days riding that Beautiful machine 😱
I hope so too!

Well this bike doesn’t have a kickstand. I’m more worried about her starting it in gear and being surprised.
@@4691dave you got a point there
She done a heck of a good job. That's a sharp looking trike
Thanks. It sure is.

I thought I owned the only trike in the universe. I should probably just delete the video and scrap the bike.
