Some extra thoughts/advice on the Kirby Cafe:
For some reason, the Kirby Cafe isn't very flexible/accommodating! You can only order once(!) at the beginning and you can't add anything else afterwards! They do try to explain this, however, i noticed some tables having miscommunications because of the language barrier! You also can't ask for the dessert to be brought out later. You just get it whenever something is ready which means you'll most likely get the Kirby car dessert first since it's pre-made!
Most of the foods are just normal stuff with cute plating! Don't get me wrong, they taste good!! But they are very normal items. I'd totally recommend sharing one pizza and the Kirby car amongst your group instead of each getting individual meals! (But if you want to each get your own burger or whatever, that's obviously totally fine. It's just a recommendation!)
Reservations are still super hard to get! I was able to get mine by just checking throughout the day and found a random spot that had opened up. But if you're not able to get them, don't worry! My recommendation would be to get here early and order from their takeout menu. When I went, the takeout orders were taking roughly an hour which is enough time to go look at sky tree or check out some of the other character stores inside the mall like the pokemon center or ghibli store! You could also go to the Kirby Cafe store inside the mall and get some steamed buns and boba if you're there in the morning while you wait for your other food! There are plenty of tables and chairs outside the cafe, so you'll definitely have space to eat! Besides getting to sit near Whispy Woods, you're really not missing out on a whole lot!! It's definitely a lot of fun, but there are also lots of other character cafes in Japan that are just as, if not more fun than this cafe!

Looks amazing. When I was there in 2019 they just had a pop up store in the shopping centre with an announcement for the café. It's definitely on my list to visit when I can go back to Japan!!!

I have been sharing a lot of these with my adult son, as a lot of the places you visit are either places he’s interested in seeing during his upcoming April 2024 monthlong visit (we all live in San Diego, California) or are themed to pop culture that he enjoys (particularly Studio Ghibli films)…Now, you have finally visited a place themed to one of my adult daughter obsessions! She has been absolutely Nuts over Kirby since she was about Five, and absolutely Loved this video! You’ve now picked up two extra subscribers in my children! For the dining ware that you get to keep, like the locomoco rice bowl, does the staff pack up the one you already used or do they provide you a new one?
you get the one that's given to you! but the actual locomoco comes inside a removable bowl, so the outer Kirby case stays pretty clean! they do give you a clean/non-used pizza plate though!

there are two stores! one is connected to the cafe which you need a reservation to go to! but the other Kirby store is inside the solamachi mall and you don't need a reservation to go to that one!

We went in October 2023, my daughter is a big Kirby fan, she plays the game, reads the manga and collects whatever merch we can get in London. She was really disappointed and as we left the cafe we went to the 7eleven downstairs and got onigiri. It’s ok if you aren’t hungry and are there for the pictures, otherwise food is the worst we ate the whole time we were in Japan.
