Who requires more importance , the Great Musician or the Lancor . We Rasikas not only enjoy the music or his singing, but we would like to enjoy his facial expressions too, which is equally Important . If Mr Sanjay had asked the organisers to switch of the light which are in front of him , it is because of the heat produced, and he sweats a lot. It is high time that the organisers learn how to organise the backdrops .
Thanks for the alapana in Sivarnjani Mohanam same notes as sivarnjani but only differs in swarasthana of Ga Arohanam: S R2 G3 P D2 S Avarohanam: S D2 P G3 R2 S Mohanam while for sivaranjani it is G2 instead of Anthara Gabdharam Why is Mohanam so popular in compositions and Sivaranjani is not ??!!
Most uncustomary raga Alapana in Sivaranjani from Sanjay! Looks like the base of “ Ek dhuje Ke Liye” without the lyrics.Or, Had EDKL already adapted in full the essence of Sivaranjani leaving no scope for the classical artists to suddenly give this raga an Alapana in a traditional format? However, the rich latitudinal Gamakas followed by a straight as steel delineation of a swara bring out the sadness in the raga - it’s hallmark. How did the violinist handle this?
