The strat I'm gonna try out with Gnoblars is random primary leveling them in hopes of diving tackle and dropping them if they get something else. They're cheap enough that I think it should be viable and it will help keep TV cost low.
After 3 seasons with Ogres, I will say getting Multiple Block gave SP fast enough to then save for Block. Multiple Block + Block is amazing, as you can just walk Gnoblars up to provide the assists and 2dice 2 targets.
SO lookiing forward to Ogres, they are by far my favourite team! I will add to your video that Ogres are gonna get to that second skill slightly faster because successful TTM now give 1 SPP. So whenever you need to throw a gnoblar during a match, that might be a bit of development. Also, not sure if you've mentioned it, the Punter can kick gnoblars, but (despite having passing access), he cannot throw them.
I'm getting to play Ogres in our current league (Maximum Ogredrive!) and it's been really good fun, but still stressful thanks to all that Bonehead. I consider it a successful season since I've caused 24 casualties in only 5 games. I went for the 6 Ogre start since I'm apparently crazy (also Maximum Ogre). Development wise I took leader on the Punter at 6 spp, but have mostly just been trying random stuff to see what sticks. Brawler has saved my bacon a few times. Unfortunately I haven't had enough games to rate the other skills, but I have definitely not been using throw or kick team-mate enough.
Oh man this team sounds awesome haha! 4.8 CAS/game is insane :D I suppose with maxed our muscle you can't quite afford the "ammunition" for constant Gnoblar-rain?! haha.
@@BoneheadPodcast You actually can get 10 Gnoblars in. At $1,000,000 you can get 6 Ogres, 10 Gnoblars, and 0 rerolls, but due to Low Cost Linemen your CTV is only $850,000 so you can induce a reroll against most teams!
But Strongarm doesn't scale with kick teammate. It*s even not allowed to take it, because the player is unable to take it, because he is missing throw teammate.
Came back here, to check for Ideas how to skill my ogre team. Had the First match with my ogre Team today and they score a total of 24 SSP. (Actually wtf?!?! The enemy is Team has lost halve their team permanently...) The punter earned 10ssp on his First match. Now I think about save up to 18 SSP to roll for better stats on the ogre maybe saving to get a Passing 2+ ogre punter? Or just 2 more ssp for Block? Idk. We will see what it gets in the end. 1 match past, 6 to go ;-)
So how does this sound? One Runt punter, two ogre blockers, seven gnoblars and a deathzone Mercenary lineman (50k) with block (+20k) and two passing points converted to +1MA. Basically three ogres, seven runts and a streamlined human Blitzer for 600k.
Hahaha superb!! There's a tonne of great results on the S table for these guys! But take a random general on a Gnoblar! Just once! Do it for us?! xD haha
No team has benefitted from the new reroll rule like Ogres have. Not enough that they'll be competitive, but you'll see a lot fewer wasted turns now. I think it's going to translate into marginally more wins, but they're going to inflict a lot more casualties.
No diving tackle on Gnoblars? Best skill, as it actually forces to deal with your gnoblar when placing him next to the ball carrier
Diving tackle is the key skill for snotlings/gnoblars as it makes titchy a lot less punitive.
They already start with sidestep.

@@deckerCKY Agree. Without it, players who dodge on 2+ go through gnoblars like water through a sieve.

Wow yeah, a few extra 1SPP here and there means they are going to level up faster!
thanks Koolkiwi :D
but strong arm doesn't work on kick team-mate does it? The book make it sound like it doesnt
been waiting on this one! Just got my ogre team and started painting them.

Nooo! You're right Berry!! I missed that!
This is the video I've been looking forward to.
Super cool! When Underworld team development?🤩
Filming it today :D Underworld are so crazy!!
Guard is better than a +1ST because it is a bonus that can be shared and doesnt bloat your TV.
Honestly, on a stat roll I'd take block over +st due to bloat.

I love these videos! cant wait for the undead one :)
Thanks :D
I need this pandemic to go away, my ogres are hungry to start their first season
Im running an ogre team but they only get random primary skills because... ogres.

@@BoneheadPodcast oh i did. Mugz got sprint. His nickname is now SMugz... until he dies.......
Hahahah superb!!
Thanks
Sorry that was meant to be in the Ogre Sevens rosters video.
I want dauntless & frenzy gnoblars (or snots)
Psyched to run ogres purely random strength skills - just roll with it and deal with whatever goofy combo you end up with.
Haha, but what about the Gnoblars?!
Diving tackle, to make it slightly less cripplingly horrible to face agility teams with ogres.
I will not be running an Ogre team any time soon, I will however be taking one in my Chaos Renegade team and hopefully he will contribute to success 😊
Ogres may have improved. But my confusion with riotous rookies continues.
