HOST GEM + FAQ : A host gem is the main gem we'll be fusing with, that gem must be included in the fusion. This way I can keep track of things easier! So things dont get messy! Ya know, and through the polls which i post on my deviantART it lets you have some say in which gems we fuse! It's a nice meeting half way thing! If you still have complaints about this, at this point I'm so done so....yeah go away I don't actually care since you don't seem to care either if it's convenient for me. Another frequently asked question is, will I be doing three gem fusions? No, not for now, with the exception of garnet ofc, but for now I wanna get these out of the way. Will I fuse with any of the Diamonds or their pearls? For the moment no, we're saving that for a special fusion friday thing (^; but that's not until the future future, not until this is done I'd say! So yeah! That's about it if you have any more questions or misunderstandings don't be afraid to ask I'll usually reply, or see if I've already answered that question! You never know, maybe someone else might've asked!Will I do the Famethyst? Prob not as of right now maybe in the future

i'm not really sure why gem/gem fusions are being given asymmetry, the only reason smokey quartz was asymmetrical was bc they were part human
Miranda J but Stevonnie is part human (more human than Smokey Quartz) and is symmetrical.
Miranda J She was asymmetrical because that highlights the fact neither Steven nor Amethyst are perfect. That's why the crew decided to give her an extra arm.
I mean, this is a drawing. There's no absolute law saying that only half human (or more even) gem fusions can be asymmetrical. And none saying others can't draw their fusions with asymetrical parts.

Both of them are really beautiful! I actually love the "same gem" fusion, it looks amazing! Your more personalized style is cute too, I imagine her able to rotate the elbows like how Opal can rotate her shoulders or how Sardonyx can rotate her torso.

Bronwyn Edwards The reason for the two designs is because they wanted to try one version of the fusion as a same gem fusion, and the other version as a cross-gem fusion.

The second one is my favorite but I think that the first would be more likely to happen. Since when rubies fuse they only become a giant version of a ruby, I can just picture the first fusion design being somewhat taller than Pearl

I feel like they'd be just a larger sapphire, mostly because Garnett is made of two extremely similar gems, and the only extra bit she has is her 3 eyes that are all different colors. These two have even fewer differences. I love both designs though. 😊
to add onto this, I like to think that this sapphire is able to view the future very clearly, to the point where she feels like she *is* in those future times and cant really tell what's happening in the present around her. Most of the time she's almost entirely stationary, like she's in a dream state, responding to the futures she thinks that she's in.
if, however, the future she's in is dangerous, she will react accordingly both in her mind and in the real present, getting up, running away, ducking out of the way of projectiles etc, all minutes, hours, or even days before anything is even happening
I wonder what kind of power she would have or abilities since Sapphire and Padparadscha are now one entity. Sapphire is able to see directly into the future and Padparadscha...sees the now

When I have kids the first thing I'm going to teach them is not to scream so much, I live near a lot of little kids and they seem to think it's fine to scream while they are playing. They aren't even hurting each other they just scream because it makes the other kid('s) stop momentarily

I love your art and the fact that you used homestuck for the bg music-
For me, I definitely need more practice with cell shading with the light source at different angles and directions because as you probably saw when I finished Moonstone, the cell shading on the water was pretty much perfect, but on everything else was almost invisible. What made it difficult for me was that I decided to make the light source the same point of view (face on). By the time I got to the water I just kinda gave up caring about it. Generally I loved how it came out, but yeah... I need more practice with shading.
Anyways, enough about all that because those fusions both look amazing!!! Bless our Sapphires
