Neighbors told us she was barking every time someone was parking his car or walked near.
One thing is sure , no one wanted her around.
We were informed by a person who lives in the building.
Mother and babies will stay under our care and when they are old enough we will find adoptions.
Our goal will be the mother as she is very insecure and that makes things harder.

Who knows what happened to that stray mama... perhaps she already had puppies in the past and they were taken away from her, and now she fears it could happen again. Anyway, these doggies couldn´t be in better hands nows!! Thank you Ermioni and friends, you are all lovely, God bless you!!
I was thinking the same thing, that someone had cruelly taken a prior littler of puppies, maybe when they were too young, so now the momma is terrified of any human coming near her puppies. Maybe even something worse could've happen in the past, it's clear their is past trauma for this mommy. I'm sure Erimoni will win this little lady over in time.

The puppies are so adorable! Poor mama is so scared, she still wags her tail as she barks. It will take time for her to know everyone is just trying to help her and her puppies. 🥰🥰🥰

👍la voisine ne s'en est même pas occuper et peut-etre même qu'elle l'a mise dehors.. quand comprendrons nous que nous sommes TOUS responsables des chiens et des chats puisque nous les avons fabriqués par sélections successives jusqu'à ce qu'ils n'aient plus la violence nécessaire pour survivre seuls abandonnés ! Ce ne sont pas des loups ni des lynxs.

Dear sweet Ermioni. It's lovely that she can laugh and enjoy the dogs. Laughter balances out the heart aches. I would bet that mother dog was abused. I've never seen anything like it.

Even the little dog in the next cage popped his head in to see what all the fuss is about and im sure at one part one of the little puppies had buried its little head in the blanket thinking oh no moms barking again. 😆😆

Dear Ermioni, I love you and this Mama Dog who is an anxious mother. Probably in the past her children were taken away from her, and now she protects her present babies from all humans. Please give us an update sometime on this lovely dog family. Thanks for your love and patience with this worried dog Mama.
With a muzzle she will not bark or bite you. You will be able to pet her and show her your love. Thank you Ermioni for all you do.
You cannot feed a dog with a muzzle. Sometimes, they cannot even drink. With a muzzle, she cannot even lick her puppies.
Please do not do such things if you are in the same situation.
There is no urgency. It is easier to let her realise she is with friends.
To put ON the muzzle, you are far more likely to be bitten AND to make dog not trust you.
These women are very experienced. Rely on them not to put unnecessary pressure on these dogs.

Dear Ermioni, I love what you do with so much love for the animals. I noticed that you contacted Takis and I am sure he gave you his good expert opinion. So, please just continue with so much love to care for these lovely fellows, our friends the dogs and especially this poor little Mama Dog. I guess her newborn children were taken away from her by mean "humans" and this why now she distrusts any people approaching her little lovely family. I CAN"T believe you were so dedicated. I am the nicest man you will ever meet...but that barking is too much! Especially after such kindness i feeding her for days. I would tell this dog how it's going to be. Some dogs need that direction and obedience. I'd grab the carrier and the babies and walk away. If she wants to come, that is perfect!! If she wants to stay there, then fine. The key is the puppies being safe. And there alone...they weren't.

Ermioni, you always show so much love and time for the momma dog to learn to trust. The puppies are so beautiful, so is their momma. The momma will take much more time, I've seen other animal rescuers use a stick with a glove on it to help the scared dog to learn to trust touching, maybe this could help in this case. I do donate every other month as I donate to other charities, and May is the month I donate to you. Thanks for everything you do, all the endless hours of love and back breaking work. It’s so sad that mama is barking from fear for so long even after she and her babies are saved…one wonders at her life to make her so afraid of people and still can’t accept the love and care she is receiving from Ermioni😥

Very heavens blessed I see you've had a lifted wooden crate and with covering to give protection to the dogs family in a kennel it's very neatly done for safety ..really admirable compassion ..nothings impossible your dedication to sanitize and help clean your rescues for good health so with your health too ..more medical treatments vaccinations needed may many help your group and angels to send volunteers to assist your rescuing and care for all your dogs ..the space YU provided and lifted space to put beds for dogy is so nicely cleaned suitable for them ....lights around like faery big lighted bulbs at night could provide security for them too ....security for all dogs at night.....wishing someone some business owners of gardens landscaping could give you free grasses for each cage like this size for the dogs as greenery is essential to dogs ..oxygen and softness of grasses......thank you much ..blessings ..more successes to you and all your staffs friends helping you ...... Dear Ermioni, I love this Mama doggy so much, she has beautiful eyes and she is worried about the safety of her pups. Please give us regular updates on this lovely dog family, I would very much like to see this Mama warming up and worrying less. And I would like to see more of her children as they grow up.
Maybe giving her a name might help me unless she has been stray and homeless her whole life. She is beyond scared......she is terrified! She will respond to good treatment and watching her babies grow healthy and fed well. I too believe she will respond to you and your care and kindness. She may have had something horrible happen to her in her past as a homeless stray. She may have scars from fighting or being treated that you can't see because of her thick coat. Time and care will win eventually. I hope she is able to develop some trust sooner than later, but time will tell. She seems to not yet trust she is safe, but she is watching you and allowing you to pick up her babies, even though isn't happy about it yet.
