Rankin Inlet, Nunaut 2018

Part 2 of Erik's hockey team exchange to Rankin Inlet. Part 1 happened in October 2017 when 2 teams from Rankin Inlet came down to Toronto for a wild week touring the city, Niagara Falls, Cirque du Soleil and catching the Maple Leafs home opener.

Wow, this is such a cool exchange (or cold maybe!). What an amazing opportunity that not everyone gets to have. It is so similar, minus the hockey and snow focus, to the exchange we did with Clarenville Newfoundland when I was 17. Such contrasting communities. Great job Erik! Such a cool thing to be part of!

The hockey coaches were going to enter a regular hockey tournament as most teams do but decided on this exchange instead and I am so happy they did! It was great to see and experience a part of Canada that is so remote that the only way in and out is by airplane. I'll have to search up where Clarenville is!
