The thing I have never understood is the Reticles setting (I have the v1.0 sight). There are 5 reticles to choose from and each can have X and Y adjusted - but in relation to what? The aiming point adjustment is done elsewhere under the ‘correct trajectory’ function so what is the purpose of the X and Y adjustment capability under the Reticles option? I don’t get it. Also Reticle 4 I think it is has graduated X and Y scales but what do they represent? Inches? Mm? MOA? How does that help aiming off if you don’t know what each graduation is? You end up saying something like my zero is at 50m, the target is at 75m, I’ll guess at aiming off by say 2 graduations. And the manual is no help at all. Does anyone know the solution?!

These comments always interest me. Do you drink, go to the football, eat take-away... any of these things? If you buy this thermal, you're likely to keep it for multiple years. I know for myself, over a couple of years, I would easily drink/eat out/go to the football well in excess of the price tag on this... 80-100 pound a week on 'entertainment' is conservative - that's close to 10k over two years. None of that money I'll ever see again (some nice headaches though!). Say I keep this Thermal for a number of years, I'm still likely going to be able to get a 1000 pound back from it when I want to move it on. The issue isn't the price, the issue is paying for the item in a lump sum. But that comes back to your disposable income and is a entirely different point. 2499 isn't a lot of money when you factor in the longevity of the item, resale, and the application of the product.

Blimey, you're obviously not married with kids and a mortgage if you can still enjoy that kind of lifestyle or the profit margins on these things are really good!

Hi James! I called OPW a number of times yesterday about this very unit, you must have been busy with the move and making this video! 😂
My question was this; this is very obviously the same chassis as the first Panther and as the Cheetah, and I have (and love) the Cheetah with 3 of the clip-on bits permanently attached to 3 rifles that I regularly swap between or use it as a hand-held monocular with the riflescope eye piece when needed..will this panther be useable in the same way? I contacted Hikmicro directly, and they to their credit responded and said all the lenses were interchangeable and DID fit but then also said the Panther couldn't be used as a clip on..and I can't understand why. If its the same chassis, same focal distance, and same lens mount screws, why would an optical scope not be able to read off a superimposed thermal image and use it's own zero calibration?! I get this is marketed as a dedicated scope and the Thunder 2.0 is the 3-in-1, but when it's a clone of the Cheetah with a different sensor...
    Cheers! 👍🏻
