It is definitely better in the surf, though it misses those ultra deep dimes that are masked and sound like iron with the 900. I am sure I can dial it in to where it finds those yet. I have not tried beach deep mode yet with it. So I’m still a little too new With the manticore to make a judgment between the 900 and the Manticore They are very similar.
@@funwithjim I have also been playing with a Manticore and I agree, it feels like an Equinox. I really like it so far inland with the 8" coil. Haven't used it on the beach yet but hope to soon.
